Going through the mail back up while we were at Disney and Florida City sent me notification that I ran a red light and want me to pay a $154 fine. Funny thing is I was making a right turn and right turns on red are allowed in Florida. Now I need to go to court to fight it. Blown tire on the way back then this. I want to go back to the Disney bubble.
Call em up and tell them 'Pics or it didn't happen'
:rotfl2:

Get to the corrals and guess who is there.

These guys
Sorry to hear that.

Gave her a pep talk. One more race to go and just two miles into the full, she will be at the halfway point of the miles she was going to run this week. She threw her medal at me and let me tell you the Donald medal hurts.
Look out!

Back at the room, the Cheetah heard about this thing called an ice bath that helps in recovery so she decided to do it. She found out it is extremely painful. Funnier than he!! listening her beg for mercy as she sat in the bath.
Luckily when I played football in college I never had to fully submerge in one put I had an ankle injury that required a few weeks of an ice bath after practice. It is freezing- then they turn on the jets. That's when it feel like your leg is gonna fall off.

The pre meet got moved from the Tambu Lounge to the pool bar. Seems the Northerners wanted to look at the sun. A good time was had, lots of laughs and one or two jabs at each other. OK more than one or two.

Do they accept TIW at the pool bar?

I must be the only one that likes the Pro Bowl. I know it's not real football, but it is still football and it is in Hawaii.
What's the Pro Bowl?

All of the posts about CJ's daughter running, running and running some more, is making me feel a tad bit guilty. I haven't run (except to get nachos in between plays) since the beginning of November. Holiday commitments and work commitments have had me sidelined. I'm hoping to get back on track this weekend and maybe even squeeze in some skiing, too.
You can run… all the cool kids are doing it.

Happy Friday Ownage to me. School is out today for a 1/4 inch of snow on the ground, which means I get a 4 day weekend. :woohoo: :woohoo:
1/4 of snow? Glad they canceled everything and shut down the state. :rolleyes2

Morning Men!

DD has a hoop game tonight. On the soap box. This is 5th grade girls basketball. We are playing a team that only plays a 1-2-2 zone. How do you teach a 10/11 year old how to play basketball by playing zone. No one learns anything on either side. The girls are too young offensively to shoot from outside and the defense doesn't learn how to actually "play" defense. of course my outstanding coaching experience has brought out the 1-3-1 motion offense for this evening. DD's best spot on the floor is the high post. Passes well out of it, can knock down the jumper and is like a freight train driving to the hoop. We are looking for a big game tonight. OK, off the soapbox. Reality is that it's a 5th grade girls basketball game so we plan to have pizza before the game as a team, go run around for a while, try to put a ball in a round metal hoop and have cupcakes when we are done. All in all a good evening.:thumbsup2
GL tonight!

Peanut Butter Beverly Crud on a Tofu Sandwich!!

Credit Card has been compromised. Either that or my wife has secretly been buying expensive antiques in Oklahoma. Second time in a year I've had to cancel a credit card for fraud.
Time to go on a charging spree…. :scratching

Sorry to hear about the card.

Tomorrow morning my parents are taking the kids for the long weekend and DW is headed to her sister's to help them move. BIL is an accountant so naturally they picked early February to move into a brand new house. :rolleyes2:rolleyes2:rolleyes2

You mean you actually go outside and remove 1/4 inch of snow? We just leave it there until the next storm when it's worth the effort to go outside.:lmao::lmao:
A fricking zone, really? Good luck tonight.

We don't get nearly as much as you do but ours tends to stick around until March so we get rid of it when it hits the drive way. Besides, its and excuse to break out a power tool.
Too young to be playing zone, that isn't allowed here. Not allowed for the reason you state, nobody learns anything playing zone.

Good luck tonight; another middle school tournament for us this weekend.
Good luck this weekend.

We got a letter saying we blew through a toll booth in Florida. Twice.
That sucks. Hope it gets worked out soon.
Sorry. That sucks. Were they nice antiques, at least?

I feel like I'm just waiting for the shoe to drop there, since we shop at Target pretty regularly.
DW worked in Target's IT department and still knows a bunch of people who were dealing with this. Just watch your statements and sign up for the free protection they are offering. And if your company is looking to outsource IT stuff that deals with sensitive info, this is why you don't. It totally smells of an inside job by one of the off shore partners.

Morning Duck. Hope the fundraising is going well.

Yes, we are very happy with it.

Wow, going after the basketball team now. Their still proud, Proud of the 17 first round picks coming over the net 5 years. :lmao::lmao: Now let's see where to ship Rondo.:confused3 You know he's not staying, right? The only reason he is actually going to play tonight is to showcase him to prove he can actually play. And besides, no one care about the NBA anymore. I haven't watched a full NBA game since 2009.

Good Morning David.:wave2:

Hey Jim

DWs good friend usually has her son's birthday party on Superbowl Sunday. :faint:

This year DW has a baby shower Superbowl Sunday from 11a-2p then is on call from 3p-11p. How the hell do I slither my way out of the house to my friends Superbowl Party that starts at noon? Did I mention he lives 45 minutes away? I might be sitting here by myself, and by myself I mean with 3 crazy kids, watching the game. :rolleyes2

Sounds like you just got called into work and need a babysitter.:lmao::lmao:

Not sure how you get to the party. Cousin Eddie would just dump a barrel or snakes in the living room and come back in a few hours.:thumbsup2 ROUND UP!:rotfl::rotfl:

Yes, but it's the early and "cold" mornings that are the toughest. The running you train for,. LOL.

That is very true.

They will likely claim one of two things. Either you didn't come to a full and complete stop before making the turn or you made the stop beyond the white "stop" line on the road. Did they send the pictures along with the citation?

Came with pictures. One shows me at the line and the next shows me making the turn. Need to look and see if there is any time stamps. I am probably going to court to fight it.

They used to give us those when I was playing college and professional soccer, especially during pre-season.

Oh my God they sucked....they usually worked, but it was PAINFUL while you were going through it. They put you in these steel tubs with a water "agitator"...felt like you were in a giant milkshake maker:rotfl2::rotfl2:

You'd get halfway back to your room and get the full body shivers:eek:

She was in a lot of pain but stuck it out. It took her a good couple of hours to warm up again. Worked well after she could feel her legs. Funny from this side of the tub.

We got a letter saying we blew through a toll booth in Florida. Twice.

That sucks. After having that happen a couple of times I use one card for paying bills and leave it in the safe. Nothing worse than having to contact all my bill payees and change numbers.

I've paid all the bills, washed dishes, and two loads of laundry. I need to go to the office so I can stop working. I also cleared the driveway by doing nothing, and the sun melted all the snow away. :beach:

What's the Pro Bowl?.

It's a party in Hawaii I'll never gt to attend. :lmao:

1/4 of snow? Glad they canceled everything and shut down the state. :rolleyes2
.

It may not have even made it to 1/4 inch of snow. Good thing we'll continue school to June to make up the missed pajama or movie day.

Funny thing about that. I received an email to my account about the target thing yesterday, with a link where to go a sign up for free credit monitoring. However, I don't remember ever online shopping there. I might have purchased with my credit card, but don't remember when. Now, DW shops there all the time, definitely with her credit card, and did not receive an email. I didn't click the link yet because I was suspicious.

Will that keep you from the beer run as well?

I think it is a KY State law to keep a sufficient supply of drinkable alcohol in the home at all times. If for some reason I needed to make that beer run, then no, it wild not have stopped me.

: Now let's see where to ship Rondo.:confused3 You know he's not staying, right? The only reason he is actually going to play tonight is to showcase him to prove he can actually play. And besides, no one care about the NBA anymore. I haven't watched a full NBA game since 2009.
:

Right. If only the NBA could put a team in the state that actually enjoys basketball. Hmmmmm......

You mean you actually go outside and remove 1/4 inch of snow? We just leave it there until the next storm when it's worth the effort to go outside.:lmao::lmao:

We have to remove the snow. It may be difficult to get to the store to buy French toast ingredients.

We got a letter saying we blew through a toll booth in Florida. Twice.

Sorry to hear about the credit card. I'm with Disney Chase Visa and nothing yet. Those camera tickets are crap. I think they are just randomly programmed to take pictures throughout the day. They know someone from out of town is not going to pay to contest the ticket.

Last day, last 2:00 am wake up call. This is the big one. For her 26.2 miles, for me the hours of waiting.

Time to run

And time for me to wait. Walked over to the bleacher area and snapped a few pics.

The bling

And the goal to get the bling

Corral G is off again

Now what to do? It poured during the night and the bleachers were puddles of water. Do I really want to stay here for four hours? The leg was feeling good so I decided to hoof it over to the monorail and ride around a bit. A nice, heated and comfortable ride around the property. After one loop it was getting boring so what to do next? Hungry? Yes. Breakfast? Good idea.

Got off at the TTC for the MK Resort monorail and headed to the Poly.

Arrived at the Poly and relaxed there until Kona opened (7:30). Watched a couple of cartoons, this one was Mickey’s Polo Team, a classic. An interesting bit of trivia is a caricature of Will Rogers was going to be in the cartoon but was taken out after his untimely death.

Was almost the first in line when Kona opened, ordered and while waiting for my meal, saw Randall, Shari and Scott. Said hi and final goodbyes.

My breakfast. DD was around mile 10 and here I am having breakfast nice and comfy at the Poly. Guess I should feel bad but I didn’t.

A couple of pics on the ride back to the finish line

By now the Cheetah was about an hour out and I found a seat at the bleachers. Fat and happy with the sun out and the bleachers dried out.

Winner, Winner Vegetarian Dinner? Time was 4:21 and almost 15 minutes better than last year’s marathon

Enjoying the look of the new medals; Marathon, Goofy and Dopey. Dad was pretty proud.

Gave her the other three and a photographer walked by. And yes, we will get the picture CD.

So did some other participants that wanted to get a glimpse of the Dopey medal. Can you say celebrity?

A lot of hardware

From there we went back to the room for a bit and over to the Yacht/Beach Club to cheer on the runners and the same at the back of the Boardwalk. Finally back to the room to nap and then get ready for the celebration dinner. California Grill. Yes!

Did you blow through the tollbooth on the way to or from the Antiques run?

I've been enjoying your recaps of the weekend, CJ (especially Crash begging for mercy in the ice bath:rotfl2:), but something has been bothering me.

In every one of her finish line photos, she's standing there smiling...or waving....or giving a thumbs up...

In every one of my finish line photos - from every race I've done - I'm drenched in sweat, gasping for air, and occasionally clutching my chest.

I just don't think she's doing it right.:sad2:

My thoughts exactly.

I wanna be a celebrity like The Cheetah. Anyone wanna do the Dopey Challenge in 2016? There must have been some 40+ Dopeys in there. As long as we pace ourselves, I don't think it's that crazy an idea. We'll blow through those races like a Florida Toll Booth!!:thumbsup2

Wasn't winded once during the Dopey races and I was also a bit puzzled by that. She has this running stuff down. Her "short" runs are now around six miles and she tries to do 15 miles once a week. In prep she was doing 3 consecutive runs of 8, 10 and 15. I think her time could have been better but since this was new, she paced herself. Next race is a Nike Diva Half in Washington and she is going to push it for time. Need to order that paternity test because she can't be my daughter. And it isn't the weight Tim, helps to be 19 (20 in two days).

So, what's up with the race bib? Does she have a new nickname (Andy), could Disney not spell her name, or did she shiv someone and steal it?

We are already thinking about next year. I may try to do the 5K again the Cheetah doesn't know what she is going to do. My money is she is going to want to do the Dopey and if she does, she is going to want to do it in 2016. Will be booking our room at the Boardwalk next month.

I think I have my Marathon routine down. Watch the kid leave to run, head over to the Poly and have breakfast.

You forgot bitter. Old and bitter.

Since the account is in my name, and even though I registered her separately, my name was on the bib. It was a screw up in the system. Andy is her nickname from long ago, I am probably one of the few people that don't use it.

Hey Dads,
So it started with a simple message to my friend Lori - we need to do these 30-day fitness challenges. So we decided to do the 30-day Plank Challenge. I talked about with her on Facebook and people joined in. I talked about it at the office and people joined in. I even have some DisDads who joined in (Barry Sommer & David Nicely). I would love it if you all joined in. If you are willing, PM me your email so I can get you the Plank Challenge. We start on Monday, January 20, 2014.

On February 3, 2014, our next challenge comes up.

Join us,
Sean
