My oldest turned 12 today. Still none of that woman change crap you and Jim keep talking about. The worst part of the January birthday is that DW insists on moving the parties to NFL playoffs weekend. The sacrifices we make.

Two of my kids have January birthdays. To avoid football conflicts we did them both Saturday mornings. Chick E Cheese at 9:30 am, skip the pizza play some games and we were out of there at 11.

Last Powerpoint finished for the Saturday meeting. This is probably my favorite meeting of the year, beekeeping, and isn't even my main or secondary area of responsibility. I only have to give two talks, get to sit in on 3 others and learn something, lots of door prizes, good food, and DS gets to tag along for free as well.

I'll echo what Fed requested earlier, you guys up north shut the door. It is cold enough for penguins here again.

My neighbor has 2 hives that he keeps on the edge of a field in our neighborhood. It's kind f cool to watch him when he's out there. The kids get a kick out of it. They actually watch the hive (with permission of course) in the spring when the bees are really active. They'll site and watch them come in and out for a while. The honey is pretty good too!

Happy Birthday to DD!

DD saw the doctor yesterday. Usually around 13, I guess we were just lucky.:rolleyes1 Maybe you could do one of those commercials where the dads are depressed that the spouse has scheduled something on football Sunday.:rotfl2:

Work has been kicking my a$$. I've always had those stretches of work where it was exhausting but then let up. Well, after being in my "new" position, it has been relentless. The thing is, I love my job but it's wearing me down. It's been to the point of working every night after wife and kids go to bed. And it's just to to keep up. But like the song goes, no use in complaining when you've got a job to do.

I have had the work all day (except my checking here, of course) and then working every night for a few hours once kids are in bed since last May. The goods news in our company is running 40% higher in revenue than last year. The bad news is we are doing it with the same staff, meaning more work for everyone. My way to stop the madness is to fly 6 1/2 hours to the Dominican in February and just sit and relax for a week. Not paying for cell service, so no way work can interfere.

Good luck. Hope it gets better soon!

Good Morning! :surfweb:

Hey Randall! Hope that hip is healing quickly.

I'd say good morning but since I'm at work and not at WDW, I'd be lying.

After my last trip in August, I was in a meeting with the Executive Vice President of the company. He asked how my trip was and I told him "I'd say it's good to be back, but we both know I'd be lying." He must have been amused, because I'm still employed. :)

Hello all dads! It looks like you have been busy since I have last been here. It has been a big year year for me. I changed employers, bought a new house, built an addition, and renovated the rest of the house. Thank goodness I am done! We have not been able to go on vacation or to even think about it until now, and yes it is official we are booked at the Boardwalk for a week in April!:cool1: So it is time to put on the disdads hat again and figure out what I have been missing and what is new since September 2012! I look forward to catching up with all of you over the next few weeks.

Welcome back! Sounds like a lot of positive changes. Congratulations on the trip.

Yesterday was my first day back to work after DDCC / Half Marathon. It was 11°. Not going to lie - I spent a good part of the day coming up with a pro/con list of just packing up everything we can fit in our two cars, heading to Florida and trying to sell the house from down there.

Sounds like a solid plan. If you need a place to stay, just head over to CJ's.

Would you believe that I'm typing this while heading down I-65 at 85 MPH?

No.:sad2: You haven't had enough time to pack the car yet.

Or he's having a hard time finding your replacement.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Good morning gentlemen. No snow this morning but the windows are rattling. Up in Northwest Minnesota they are dealing with hurricane force winds pushing 3 inches of snow around.

Hey, if you haven't thought about, pre register for the DisDad cruise in 2015, do it. It's fun and exciting. I hope as many of you that can go do sign up bc y'all are a great group of guys. Plus they have a 5K on Castaway Cay that I'm doing
We're doing DLR in December instead.
Good Morning! :surfweb:
Good morning Randall and everyone else.

DW is starting to warm up to the idea of moving to Florida. Want to be neighbors? Football season would defiantly be lively.

When the temperature drops below 15 degrees, the hyperdrive freezes up. :teacher:
Adjust the settings on your Heisenburg Compensator.
Well, then have Chewie take the professor in the back and plug him in!

Make sure you type with only one hand. The other one is for changing radio stations and gesturing at other drivers. :thumbsup2
:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:
Thanks for the laugh guys.

:scared1:

You know, I didn't even think about that possible side effect of a January birthday. I hereby decree that all January birthday parties will have to wait until Pro Bowl weekend, so there's nothing to miss out on.

I like this plan, except for actually setting foot in Chuck E. Cheese. I know you skipped the nasty pizza, but still...

Truth.

Not if you became Miami Dolphins fans! In that case, you could just expect to be mediocre-wins 8 games every year and miss the playoffs. Just ask CJ.:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Oh, and go Patriots!

You my friend may have a man law there! We don't have a January birthday in the family, but I am willing to do those that do a favor and second that. Now if your wife gets angry you can blame it on us.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I bleed purple and gold pal. We're used to a roller coaster ride with more twists and turns than Space Mountain.

Second!

The neighbors would get an interesting show out of it.
"Hey look, that guy with the cheese on his head is yelling at the guy with long yellow braids."

Just grab your coffee at kwik trip and get everything else at Target when you get down there.

If I'm buying a whole new wardrobe, I might as well do it a Mouse Gears and the Emporium, though.

Hope all are enjoying Friday eve. It's Friday for me as me and DS head up to Chicago for 2 Blackhawks games, Chicago food and the Disney Archives exhibit at Science & Industry Museum. Have a good weekend guys.

Now that there is a plan. As referenced above, heading up north close to your way tomorrow but deal with cold for good reasons :)

All that's missing would be a Bears fan. Then the locals would be in for a real show. I know Sean is a Cubs fan. Does he root for Da Bears too?

That's a great plan!

No, because the roads are like ice between Crown Point and Lafayette

When the temperature drops below 15 degrees, the hyperdrive freezes up. :teacher:

LOL

It is, but the roads in Indiana won't support it's full potential today. This snow snuck up on INDOT. Lazy state workers didn't want to get out and salt... :rolleyes1

Seriously, I saw 14 slide offs on on my to Lafayette. I was supposed to go to Valpo, but once I got past Frankfort, it was horrible. Took me 3 hrs to get back to Indy
