Been a while since I followed you guys. More clarification on the Pirate Princess. We saw a second neurologist yesterday. It is confirmed it is neurological and something she will have to deal with for a while. Not to be cryptic but it is not life threatening and she will be on meds and need monitoring for the foreseeable future. Still concerning but at least we have a plan in place to keep her healthy.

Also canceled the cruise. She has an internship over the summer at the Univ. of Miami Marine Science school and can't take that much time off. We still plan to go to Disney in June. Even if she isn't going, I am, so anyone that is at the World the first week of June, let me know.

Heard about the job a week ago. Lets just say they decided to go in another direction. I knew it wasn't going to happen about 15 minutes into the hour and 20 minute interview. My future boss's boss and I were not going to get along. He was a bit arrogant and I knew his management style was not going to work with me. More than likely I would not take the job if it was offered and am actually a bit relieved I didn't need to make that decision.

Won't try to catch up but if you posted something that made you laugh, consider me laughing with you (unless it was Jim then I am laughing at him), if you celebrated, I am celebrating and if you faced a challenge, my thoughts are with you.

Just booked the 2 hour Guided Excursion for this coming Saturday for myself and 3 oldest kids! :cool1:

7am trip w/ 7:35am sunrise. Gonna kick some bass!

Yes, I asked for Eddie, thanks!

What is typical $ amount to tip the Guide? $40? :confused3

We loved the trip when we went. And yes, Eddie is an awesome guide. I think we tipped him $50, but he stuck around and gave us some extra fishing time at the docks and took us to see a gator in the waterways. Pretty cool. He said they let them stay until they get to a certain size and then evict them.

Have a great trip!

Congrats to your DS! That is a couple of nice games.

Enjoy your break, DS has his provincial championships this weekend and we've just started school volleyball and travel soccer will be starting in a month.

DS has become a very good player. Still a little undersized, but he can shoot the ball well. Good luck this weekend. We don't start the next round until April for baseball, softball and AAU hoops for DD. We gave up soccer. Too competitive around here, couldn't deal with the politics and parents.

Ummmm…. I'm trying to read through the lines but I'm not following. Can you elaborate a bit more? :surfweb:

Me too.popcorn::popcorn::

Morning guys. A high of 67 here today, before we get snow tomorrow.

Mid 50's here today. Supposed to get cooler, but not enough to snow tomorrow. Lot's of rain expected though. Hopefully the rain will help clear some of the snow away.

Morning guys.

I want to know which one of you took the sun and what did you do with it?

I took it down here and it's pretty nice. You can have it back around December.:lmao::lmao:

Let us know how it goes, my DS14 and I really want to give this a shot next trip. Sounds like fun.

We left from DTD. Went to a few different rivers. One was back where all the logistical stuff like trash and training were. It was pretty cool to see the service areas and what it takes to keep everything going. We caught fish at each spot. After the rivers, we went back to the docks and fished right there. The fish under the docks pretty much hit the bait right away when you toss and in and are good sized. The largest one we caught was 6-7 pounds caught by DS. It's expensive like anything, but one of the best memories we have.

Morning dads. Visited the in laws yesterday and dentist today..... What a weekend. I have 5 interviews set up on Wednesday so I'll hit the ground running. Hopefully I'll be able to make it on later today.

Best of luck with the interviews!

Hey CJ, prayers and best wishes for PP that she is better soon. And wish her luck with the internship form us all. I had a cousin that went into marine biology and loved it. Did an internship at the NE Aquarium up here in Boston and we got hear a lot of good stories.

Too bad the job thing didn't work out. Maybe next time. I hear Norm will need a butler when he gets to your lawn. Doesn't pay much, but it's a living.:lmao:

Just so you know, I said lots of funny things while you were gone. They were all about you though, so no need to look back.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Okay, ya got me. I'll admit I was being quite obtuse there, but when I started out, I actually had a bunch more written, but decided not to use it because it was already too long and only covered Monday. Plus, it was starting to get into the dirty laundry area, and I didn't want to go there.
Suffice it to say that we salvaged a very pleasant week out of a Monday that could have been better skipped, and was a waste of a set of Park Hopper tickets. But like I said... DW managed to come up with some revisions that kept DS out of his most objectionable mode for the rest of the week, which makes everybody happy.
On a purely random and unrelated note ;) if any of your family members are on medication that improves their outlook, I advise taking the PROPER dosage with you, and not an older one that has already been proven not to work well. And, above all, don't lead off the whole shebang with going somewhere said family member has expressed a strong desire to NOT go to.

I don't know what I did to my leg, but it feels like I pulled a muscle (again), Seeing a doc tomorrow, hope I can start taking the more effective stuff again.....
Saw the doc, spent 5 hours running aound between the clinic, hospital and pharmacy. Guess who's got a blood clot in his leg?
<--- THAT guy.
So now I've got to give MYSELF 13 more blood thinner injections :scared1: , as well as taking Coumadin for the forseeable future.

I need a vacation.....:beach: Gotta get rid of that ticker, too.

Good to hear you at least got a "here is the deal and what we are gonna do" answer for PP. Positive thoughts and prayers continue.

Got some videos from our agency today of the kids. They look great. One of the videos has them speaking their names in English!

Morning dads. Visited the in laws yesterday and dentist today..... M.

Two unpleasant consecutive visits? :lmao: Good luck on the interviews.

Peanut does not have strep but something viral that acts like strep. So instead of pumping the kid with antibiotics and waiting two days we have to let this thing work its way through over the next 7 to 10 days.
.

Good to hear. Prayers for a quick recovery.

I was already planning on CJ living in his own house for free. Now, I have to pay him to be my butler? I'm not sure you understanding my mooching plan completely. :lmao:
