Been just a might preoccupied this week, but today may (just “may”) be a little less hectic.
We’re in the process of downsizing from the big ol’ house my son grew up in down to one about half that size. When he comes back “home” from school for Thanksgiving, it will be to a house he’s never been in before. The packing starts next week and closing at the end of the month (barring unforeseen events). Should be interesting… and exhausting…

And I'm hoping to provide a steady stream of pics and updates from the Happiest Place on Earth. So hopefully I can pick up where Norm left off. And I'm cautiously optimistic for a DISDAD meet up while there.

Gorgeous Friday afternoon and I'm in the office trying to get keep from getting further behind. There is no catching up. I took a couple of days and headed to the "vacation house" to check on it and do a little clean up. It was still standing and still lots of projects to do.

On a surprising note, the Department of Motor Vehicle people were actually helpful! They are never pleasant even when the task is simple but I was trying to register the car there with a license from here and it was more than 30 days early. The lady at the desk let me do it though.

Now both car registrations will expire November 2014 on my birthday. That will be an expensive 50th birthday present for me but better than the rest of the day because I will schedule my annual physical that day as well. Nothing like a prostate exam to say "welcome to turning 50".

Trying to keep all the details covered. The lady of the house is starting to have a hard time with letting go of the memories, but I keep reminding her that she ever wants to go back to Disney (and I do mean “ever”), then this is still the best option.

But he’s also about to be invaded by in-laws, so the “Flying Fickle Finger of Fate” will be paying him back for that one.


To answer the question…
We drove him by the proposed new house when we were taking him back to school the other day.
Now all he has to do is remember where it was (and politely knock on the door and beg for entry).
