Hey everyone. My name is Josh. I am a Dis Dad living in Hawaii in body but WDW in spirit. I have three kids: 2 girls and a boy. I've been married for 6 years.

My wife and I went to WDW for the first time in 2006 and we all just got back from our second trip two weeks ago. We are already planning our next trip for when I transfer to Tampa next spring/summer. We are looking at going some time in May or June, just because of the timing. Hopefully we can swing APs shortly after we get there and then can go whenever we want.

Anyway, aside from that I'm just like any red-blooded American male. I love sports, hockey and football being my favorites. I play hockey, yes, ice hockey in Hawaii...go figure. I love beer, scotch, bacon and, well, we all know the rest.

So, I look forward to joining this elite group of men with Ears of Steel. The Few, the Proud, the Dis Dads!

P.S. today is Hump Day. Woot Woot!

Welcome!

A time out to vent. Saw this on Facebook, so it is probably as true as an Abraham Lincoln quote found there.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Fiscal Cliff in Perspective

Tax Revenue: $2,170,000,000,000
Fed Budget: $3,820,000,000,000
New Debt: $1,650,000,000,000
National Debt: $14,271,000,000,000
Recent Budget Cuts: $38,500,000,000

Let's remove 8 zeros and pretend it is a household budget.

Annual Income: $21,700
Money spent: $38,200
New debt on credit card: $16,500
Outstanding balance on credit card: $142,710
Recent budget cuts: $38.50
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Assuming these numbers are true, to fix this mess in 5 years, the income would need to be tripled and the money spent cut in half. For those of us who prepare household budgets, that would be extra jobs for both parents, beans and rice, and no Disney trips for 5 years. While the DisDads would make these sacrifices for our families, I fear for the worse with this current situation. Prayers for our country.

And now, back to my off topic posts.

Are you not a branch if the government (provincial?) I believe you hire the least qualified by default? It is the Ontario way :sad2

Not government, we are a not-for-profit. The equivalent in Ontario would be Sport Alliance Ontario.

Bear of a storm coming through, 5-10 inches of rain projected. Not worried about the house but the yard is as flooded as I have seen in a while. I was going to the grocery store but will forget about it for now.

Maybe you should turn the trailer park into a lake with houseboats.

I don't have the energy to check the numbers but I think the general theory is correct which is why I figure I won't be moving into CJ's yard. I will be working till I drop at my desk or in the field.

Oh, and I prefer the off topic posts.:dance3:

Me too. This week is just creeping by so agonizingly slow and I'm not dealing well with all this news. I'll be glad to be in WDW on Saturday and forget about real life.

And now these pillars of reason are in charge of your health care. We can't even get a straight answer about what our actual work status is supposed to be. Beware the enemy from within.

I've not been around as long as you, but I don't think I've seen it this bad before. I hope we are both wrong.

Maybe Walt Disney World can just buy the US. With as much debt as we have, Disney could get a good deal. :lmao:

Great news to for you. Keeping growth in check is also a good thing. I have seen many companies get themselves in trouble with unchecked growth.

Working on keeping it going. We have some new technology on schedule to be released in January and a couple of 2 year old accounts getting close to FDA approval on their systems. Of course if the FDA is shut down it may delay things some.:headache:

Not a lot of folks “who ain’t from ‘round here” even know there is such a thing as Stanly NC.

It’s good to hear that any business is doing well. Congrats to y’all and may that continue.

Thanks. My parents have friends that moved to that area about 3 years ago. Never been, but hear it is a good area to retire.

I would have not of guessed myself. I have not eaten there in a few years.

she was deployed in Cinderellas Royal Table!!! she got to work in the castle!!:thumbsup2

she said not only in the castle, but a castle with air conditioning. :rotfl:
I haven't really talked to her about it to much yet but I did get the, "dad, it was cool"! :thumbsup2

back in july she was deployed as a character assistant over by the dole whips.

Oooooooooh, the castle! Now we are REALLY jealous. Good for her.

I always thought the best candidate was the one with the biggest.... oh never mind. Wrong forum... ;)

:rotfl2::lmao: I guess we know where you spend your free time away from here.:rotfl2::lmao:

Get out the gear. You can get in some diving practice. Stay safe.

Welcome to the Asylum! :welcome::jumping1:

I'm about 10 days out from arriving at WDW. Every time we get close, I feel the need to get my medical "to-do list" checked off.
lab work tomorrow a.m.
Friday is ophthalmologist and chiropractor
Monday endocrinologist (who happens to have his new office about 2 minutes away from a mall with a Disney Store!)
Then the Prescription refills...insulin vials, test strips, etc.
As a Type I diabetic, I always have to make sure I over pack medical supplies and then get treated like a terrorist by TSA.

Aside from that, I'm getting super anxious and excited for the F&W Festival and the MNSSHP.

For MNSSHP...which parade do you guys prefer...the earlier one or later? And what's your best spot for the parade? I'm actually excited for the Headless Horseman's ride through the Park!
