Chilling at DW's dads place "watching" Epic

I still want to know if those parades and fireworks viewings FP+ areas are for seats or just for the privilege of being herded into a roped off area while standing.

I'm not sure I want to use a FP+ if I have to stand behind someone who pulled their children out from school early and was canceling ADRs while breast feeding a child. :lmao:

Fine fine, you can stand in front of me. Sheesh

It is standing room although done seats could be there. Only did the Wishes. It is at the Rose Garden and people did use the chairs at the old Swan Boats dock to witness it. Access is limited to so many people so we had no crowds around us maybe a couple dozen people for the whole area. We had an uninstructed view of the castle. I did post a pic during my marathon closing posts in the old thread I will try to find one.

‘

Naaaa… actually we’re all interested in most of what you have to say.
‘Cause you have access to so much beer!

(I need to send a truck up there on of these days.)

I was just over stateside and picked up a six of New Belgium Pumpkick Ale to try

DD is supposed to be playing soccer game in about 30 minutes, but she's down and out with some sinus infection that struck Thursday night. Poor kid... nose is all red from blow, blow, blow. But STILL wants to go play.

Hope she feels better soon. She has good spirit at any rate, excellent attribute to have.

My wife did schedule Illuminations as one of the FP+ events. I'm guessing it gives us a reserved spot so we don't have to deal with the Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome battle scene to get a spot.

We saw Illuminations right as we got out of Via Napoli notice in the way of crowds at Italy.

Okay, here is an idea of the view for the FP+ area for Wishes. Again, it's the path to the Rose Garden including the old dock for the Swan Boats.

We had no one around us, and while there might be a lamp post to the right of the picture, that just might be the way I was pointing the camera. by no means were there crowds around us. Myself and the girls were kneeling against the fence (the one that keeps people off the grass).

We had the option during the weekend for the parades at MK too, but not Illuminations, Fantasmic or the AK parade. Apparently the testing for these spots were more limited, but we had a Fantasmic Package with dinner at Mama Melrose and stumbled out of Via Napoli just in time for Illuminations to start. I did have FP+ for the Dreams come true parade the day we ended up Grand Marshaled it, so I changed it to something else at a later time. The spot it indicated we needed to go to was at the Hub (we saw the roped off area during the parade, it is right in front of the Castle behind the Partners statue, but there is another spot in Frontier land too. It is entirely possible they have multiple spots and are testing them? For MSEP, since they were running two, we watched the 11pm (closing time) in Frontier land, right by the breezeway to Adventureland (RIGHT near Aloha Isle, fancy that, I was able to grab a Dole Whip just before) and there were NO crowds either

See?

Morning guys. Great family day yesterday :thumbsup2. Our DNR had a family outdoor experience at one of the state parks in Indy and all of the events were FREE :cool1:

We did horse back riding, rifle shooting, archery, and the ol duck got 2 out of 3 in his first skeet shooting experience! Just a note, I have not fired a gun since I shot my first dear 17 years ago.

They also had rock climbing, 4 wheel off road course, canoeing, kayaking, crossbow shooting (way cool), disc golf, fish net making, gold panning, and a whole bunch of stuff.

What a great way to get families outdoors and realize the resources we have right in our back yard.

How did you get your second deer?

Early morning and all are still asleep. DW starting folding clothes and buying stuff for our October trip to WDW. I think someone is excited.

.

Because if you put your hands in your pockets, they'd have to be registered as concealed deadly weapons. Pictures looked like you all had a lot of fun yesterday.

Can't win them all. Some of the best life lessons come from how you handle a loss or other setback..

Sorry about the loss but it sounds like there are some positives to take away from the match.

Even Brazil loses a match occasionally.?"

Thanks. Win or lose, I give my same 10 second game ending speech and they walked away smiling. I am all for competition, but I think we still need to tach those other values of team play and sportsmanship.

I like to be sitting during the parade and fireworks. I've been walking around the parks all day, and this is the time to relax.

Morning Guys.

Some more painting to do today; my first attempt at using a rotisserie on the grill, some football and playing soccer to finish the day.

Hope you all have a good Sunday.

That wouldn't be my preferred view for Wishes. Doesn't seem like a great view of the Castle and there seems to be lots of trees in the way.

By the way, are you playing in the hockey pool this year?

Hey, I'm posting to get my DidDad #, ::yes::

How is everyone doing this weekend? I'm officially 59 days away from our next trip, SO CLOSE!
