Morning Guys.

DS is moving to a new room in the basement and he has selected the new colours for the room - Zombie Green and Twilight Zone Purple. The painting starts shortly.

Have a good one.

Before and after pics please sir....

DD is supposed to be playing soccer game in about 30 minutes, but she's down and out with some sinus infection that struck Thursday night. Poor kid... nose is all red from blow, blow, blow. But STILL wants to go play.

Sorry to hear that she is sick, but glad to hear she wants to play. My youngest dd got my competitive streak.

UT OH... Am I gonna be one of these people? My wife is gonna be nursing while we are there, and we are pulling my daughter out of school.
Believe me, my wife is verrrrry discrete while doing it. She doesn't just whip it out. I'm sure she'll be fine, but I think she is getting a little anxious about it. She caries a cover while out in public.

You are one of those people if you start a thread about it and then stir it up. :lmao:

I'll give my input on those type of threads occasionally, but it is what I would do or experienced. I'm not the virtual or reality police. So, if I were to see a women breast feeding their child in WDW, I'm not walking up to her and say stop. Likewise, while I'll stand on a bus for someone to sit down, I'm not going to tell others to get up and offer their seats.

Some people are just jerks - virtual or reality - but that doesn't that apply to you.

Wow. It's great to see other dads who 1) quote hilarious movies. 2) love disney as much as I do and 3) know that shenanigans is more the just a silly word!
This is my first post so a little info:
My name is James and I live in NJ. I have a DS5 and a DD2. We check into POR in 10 days and I can't wait!
Welcome to the club!!!

I was on the October canceled ADR thread and I asked if anyone thought it was weird that there were so many posters with only a 1 or 2 post count. Then I got blasted.... the posts have since been deleted. :sad2:
So are you on double secret probation now or something???

Way to go!

Who's running in 2015? I'm in. Mark it down.
TEAM TIM!!!!!!!!

Those are some of the best threads.

Start one about using lifts to make the kid taller and then breast feeding on TOT. This place would be RUINED.

No, I received no points. ;)

Speaking of team Tim, I friended some guy named Andy on runkeeper. Does that mean that guy is running in 2015 too? Hummmm

One thing I do like about the FP+ is that you can change them on the go if you desire. Are they doing all Parades/Fireworks yet? It was limited when I was there, seems like a good use of it.

My wife did schedule Illuminations as one of the FP+ events. I'm guessing it gives us a reserved spot so we don't have to deal with the Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome battle scene to get a spot.

Excellent work. I have not run at all, but finished in the top 5 in post count from the last thread. Team Sparrow is well represented. We'll be cheering you on.

I still want to know if those parades and fireworks viewings FP+ areas are for seats or just for the privilege of being herded into a roped off area while standing.

I'm not sure I want to use a FP+ if I have to stand behind someone who pulled their children out from school early and was canceling ADRs while breast feeding a child. :lmao:

Norm - I called DVC and they said for the parades\FW, it is "preferred" viewing area. Some have benches but it doesn't sound like it's reserved with chairs or anything like that. I think I'm going to veto the FP+ choice for the fireworks.

I'm the same way with planning our trips. In fact I enjoy planning and look at allears.net, disdining, Disboards, and disney.com multiple times a day. One thing I learned on our last trip... My plans are not a schedule, their a guideline. If we wake up and want to go to a different park or dining that day, we do. I always make sure not to cancel any dining until our new reservation is confirmed but I don't adhere to my plans religiously. Staying relaxed makes disney a vacation and not frustration. My DW on the other hand has a harder time. She grew up running from ride to ride and park to park. I refuse to do that and like spending more time doing stuff like... BEERS AROUND THE WORLD ( echoes like speaking from god).

1. Very cool! Girls really love those fancy smancy shirts. We have not done the fancy shirts yet.
2. MmmmmMmmm... bacon. She's a keeper. :thumbsup2
3. Lucky
4.Have fun with the run! :lmao:
5. I used to get this way when planning our first trips. Not sure how I got over the overwhelmed feeling... but I think scheduling multiple trips a year helped :rotfl2: I recommend doing that at least once a year!

My motto with our Commando style approach is, "Always have a plan, but be flexible." We've had to improvise, adapt and overcome on several occasions. Our ridiculous amount of research has paid off in spades for us. I see so many people clueless in the Parks and just shake my head.

I hear you loud and clear. My wife is like a drill sergeant when it comes to the parks, Hard to knock it b\c it works. We had an "incident" once when departing from AKL for DHS. Missed the first bus by seconds...next one ended up full, standing room only...overly crowded bus, someone dropping a cup of water on our stroller, getting to the Park late, getting to TSM late...closest thing that I can call a disaster at WDW :rotfl2:

I will have to post a pic of my beer passport that a friend's mom made for me. I'm very excited for the plethora of brew at EPCOT. :drinking1

Into the double digits on this new thread and I still haven't posted. I think I am entering a phase of life where I won't be around as much. :headache:

At least I am still on the green side of the sod so life is good.

Welcome new guys, congrats and prayers as appropriate.

Back to the grindstone.

Add in adding a person with a disability to cut in line and it will really be fun. :crazy2:

.

I think I'm with you there. We have found a few good spots over the years for the different parades. I like my spot ok for Wishes, but it could be better. But, I don't want to use a FP+ knowing I'm still going to have to still potentially fight off people. Besides, the best Wishes viewing may just be TOTWTerrace at BLT.

The only problem we've had at WDW was one year with a CM, who told us Annie from Little Einstein's would be back in the afternoon after lunch and they changed her to be of the other characters. Same CM. I told her what I thought of her - not my better moment. I doubt my oldest dd even remembers the Little Einstein's any more.

Just glad to see you made it. I wonder if the Internet will somehow get washed out of Eastern Ky. Some people may laugh at the statement - until they navigate those hollers.

Well, youngest dd lost her first soccer team today 4-1. We got smoked in the first half. We played one of the better teams and I stayed to my player rotation, even though one of my keepers was terrible, giving up 3 goals. But, one of my younger, weaker players scored her first (and probably only) goal of the season.

Another life lesson I learned today is how bad discarded lobster shells and innards smell after leaving it in the garbage toter since Thursday. And, trash pick up isn't until next Thursday. I thought something died in the garage. :crazy2:

Looks like the UL cards smoked some Florida IU team. (72-0). Florida is winning, but seems to be struggling against Tennessee. Good luck CJ.

The new thread is cruising. Hope everyone is well.

Just taking a break from suitcase packing for WDW. Last night we took my SIL's kids so they could get their drink on during the town festival. Today, they're taking our kids so we can pack. I know we're still over 20 days out but this is our only weekend to do it before the last weekend. Plus the kids won't need their shorts or swim suits between now and then any ways.

But, did they take the children out of school early and refuse to offer their seat on a fully loaded bus?

Forgot about those.

Who's running in 2015? I'm in. Mark it down.

I am sure the Dis Dad eating cheetah will be in. Could there be another epic nemesis challenge? Barry do I need to put the support team back together?

Tough kid. Hope she gets better soon.

Can't win them all. Some of the best life lessons come from how you handle a loss or other setback.

Halftime. Florida is up 17-7 with the only Tenn. points coming off a pick six when Driskel was injured. Defense has only given up about 30 yards. Maybe one of the best D's in the country but if we have to rely on our backup QB for a while you can kiss this season bye bye.

Here's what it amounts to... my employer is on a kick to get everyone healthy. Part off that is a goal of everyone walking a mile every Tuesday night or Wednesday. If you walk you get entered in drawings. In order to get it done quick, I usually just run a mile and I'm back in the house in 10 minutes. If I've got time and I feel lazy I just walk.

It certainly isn't sufficient training for a marathon though!

Christopher's nose has been running for 5 days and Juliana woke up this morning hacking up a lung. Even the baby has been a bit stuffy. It's going around. I blame it on being back in school.

Yep... back-to-school virus orientation. :lmao:

Sorry to hear that she is sick, but glad to hear she wants to play. My youngest dd got my competitive streak.

Thanks, Norm. She's a smidgen better today. I think only half a tissue box was used today.

Tough kid. Hope she gets better soon.

Thanks, CJ.

Sorry about the loss but it sounds like there are some positives to take away from the match.

:rotfl2:about the lobster shells. They can really stink up a place.

We got the first coat of paint on DS's room today. Both colours need another coat for sure. Going to be interesting to say the least.

The family took me out for my birthday dinner tonight. The restaurant we were suppose to go to was closed so we went to another popular local spot instead. The food was ok (compared to other times) and the server wasn't all that bright but the company was second to none.

Even Brazil loses a match occasionally.

Throw the shellfish pickin's in the neighbor's yard. That keeps your garage and trash bin smelling fresh.

When they ask you about it, say "I'm allergic to shellfish, what are you talking about?"

Officially on Vacation now:cool1::banana::yay:, This week I'll paint the living room and it's off to Busch Gardens next weekend:yay::thumbsup2
