My Blackhawks should have lost about 5 times in OT so far.

This game is giving the ole ticker a workout. Crawford stood on his head in that period!

'Hawks win!
Playoff hockey is without a doubt the most exciting thing in sports. March Madness is good but for jump-out-of-your-seat excitement. Nothing is better than this.

Agreed. Nothing beats playoff hockey. Especially when it goes to overtime.:thumbsup2

Not that I bothered staying up for that game, but I'm sure it was awesome.

Today we set up a tent for an overnight camping trip near where we rent a barge on Friday for a three day trip down the canals. Maybe I should mention that the campground is on the site of a local Pub.

I wouldn't have expected anything less!

Morning all…

Its starting to get real hectic between getting work life squared away and the house prepped for the upcoming trip. I’ve asked to work from home this afternoon… if that gets approved, it will go a long way towards helping that situation. Among other things, I need to get the grass mowed today and do so before the late day thunderstorms make an appearance. Yards and fences make for better neighbors, but tending to them can be a PITA.

There are some apps, Newstand included, that you can't delete. It's all part of Apple's quest to control the universe.

Hey.... That's my job! ;)

Well you better get to work knocking the minions over at “iRule” down a peg or two. They’re well on the way toward usurping your thrown.

That was very anti-climatic. My wife had this image in her head of how excited she would be so she planned out a big reveal. DD just stared at her like it was no big deal. That's my daughter, no real emotion. She did finally admit that she may be afraid of the characters. She is painfully shy but I am not worried as long as I can keep the wife from forcing her into a meet and greet.

That happens.
Our boy is on the reserved side as well when it comes to expressing emotions like that. We did a similar reveal for a seven-day DCL cruise a while back and got the same basic low key response. But… (and this is a crucial “but”)… but, it was still one of the most memorable outings we took and he does still talk about the trip and even the way that the reveal was part of it. He just didn’t throw a fit worthy of YouTube or AFV (and all else being equal, that’s probably a good thing).

Glad you are having fun. Tent=bad, Pub=good.

That sums it up pretty well.
After you’ve knocked back a few of those brews, have a couple more for me sir.

Looks like a great trip thus far CJ. Keep posting the pics if you can. The UK is not somewhere I’m likely to be able to visit any time soon so it’s cool to see how other folks experience it.

Mine have been enough times now where it is the same. Yesterday, I bought MNSSHP tickets for our October trip. I was excited and walked in living room and told dds. They smiled, but that was about it.

I've never surprised my kids with a trip. My oldest daughter specifically asked to be surprised next time we go. We'll see how it goes.

It it really a campground or just as far as people make it when leaving the pub?
Looks like yall are having a great trip. Be safe and enjoy.

I am always more excited than my kids when talking about Disney. This is their first trip so hopefully they will catch the bug to.
My oldest told me last night that she would rather just go to Aulani :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I told her when she hits the lotto she can take us.

Morning Guys,

quick day in the office for me and then back on the road tomorrow but this time it is with the family. DS is playing in a soccer tournament in Maine this weekend so we are heading out sometime tomorrow.

Declan says thanks Brent for the congrats.

I don't know if it was one of us or not....

But if you're a Dis Dad from SC and you drive a blue minivan (which had Disney Family stickers on the back and a Disney front tag)...

I humbly apologize for blowing by you at Mach 5 in the center lane of I 95 in Jacksonville, FL (around 1630/or 430 PM) yesterday.

I saw you in the right lane, and was going waaaay too fast to wait for you to move out of the left lane (though you were well within your rights to be in the hammer lane).

My bust.

Rafiki/Zerfass---no commentary is necessary from either of you two.:lmao::lmao:

I hear it can be done... :rolleyes1

I've seen the video!! Or maybe I just read about it- i can't remember. I'd copy your plan exactly if at the end our our drive we pulled in to a Disney Hotel. Nothing magical about pulling up to a time share.

Really?!? ;)

CJ, looks like fun! Say, what's the drinking age in the UK?

Hi Guys!

Busy in my life, so,

Prayers for those in need, you know who you are!

Congratulations to those who deserve it, you know who you are!

Bacon and Disney for Everyone!

CJ looks like an awesome time so far.... Looking forward to more updates from across the pond.

Morning guys!

It's an exciting day for this Goof Troop! We are working with a DVC owner to rent their points and it looks like everything is working out like we want. If all goes well, our Jan 2014 trip will become a reality.

Looking at staying in a Standard 1BR BWV. Would have gone with the Preferred, but not sure we'd be out on the Balcony that much in Jan and also not sure if the noise would be too much for the little one who might be trying to sleep. Besides, I can spend the extra $500 saved at the Brewing Works or ESPN zone!

We did surprise them one year. We told them we were going to their grandparents and left around 8:00 PM. They were groggy at gas stations, so the time thing confused them. We made it to FL, almost to WDW to surprise, but I guess they weren't awake enough to get it. I wanted to wait until we drove under those magic gates, but DW told them while at the Okahumpka rest stop off Florida turnpike in front of the giant Mickey.

They usually are excited, and we all enjoy talking about and playing Disney games. I guess they were just not in the mood yesterday - girls.

We can at least applaud your driving skills, that despite going that fast, you could still make out the license plate and Disney Family stickers. Now, how many family members were there, what gender, and did they have any pets? :lmao:

Good news and I hope you can book what you want. I've only done standard stays at BWV to try and save points. Plus, the villas side is further away from Epcot, and I don't think it has as good of views and the Inn side. I prefer ESPN over Big River Grille, but either are good choices.

:lmao: Wasn’t me!

We’ll be on your stretch of the road Saturday morning though so I f I see an unmarked cruiser scream by me…

I’ll be sure to wave :rotfl2:

Yah, like that’s gonn’a happen.

Hey guys. Tired today after last night's cardiac marathon. These Hawks are going to kill me with the opportunities they have been giving up.

CJ - sounds like a great trip so far.

Rob / Max - Congrats on the graduation. Next stop, financial ruin. (I mean college)

Brian / Darcy - Nice Meet.

For those I missed: Prayers for those in need, praise for those deserving, bacon for all.

Oh and since Barry and Dave can't respond:

Rafiki/Zerfass---no commentary is necessary from either of you two.:lmao::lmao:

We're you just trying to get the spinners upto air-conditioning speed? :lmao:
:car:

Have enjoyed my time on the staycation patio today. Not as hot, but windy. The pool water feels good. Having way too much time on my hands, I stopped counting on the fingers and toes, got out the calculator and figured out how to get two trips in WDW next year. Both would be DVC studio stays, but I could get a week at the Beach Club for Spring Break and a week at Grand Floridean for Fall Break. I know it is doubtful that the GFV will have availability, but it is worth a shot. Now, I just have to figure our how to pay for those pesky things like tickets and food. :lmao: I will need to do that later as it is time to take youngest to soccer camp.

Afternoon...been waiting for the Super to come by to take a look for any "storm damage" to our corner of the building, got a notice yesterday about it. Supposed to be here between 11-6, they are pushing it kinda late though:mad:
