3 - 0 New York over Washington

That would give Toronto home ice advantage next round.

Um, what is that throaty sound coming from those guys in the white and blue sweaters?

I was on a traveling soccer team by that age. The league I was in started traveling to tourneys for the 6-8 kids and started 2 day trips for the 10-12 teams.
The teams I coach now are non-competitive co-eds, mainly because they are "troubled" kids so we are working more on social skills disguised as sports. Next summer I am putting my DD (6) in city league sports and they have out of town tourneys, not sure how much playing time she will get but we will just run drills at home if she is not happy with the amount of time she gets..

And I thought 9 was too young. Gives me something to think about. I stopped playing team sports at 15 to work. I'm sure that is influencing my decision as well - do I want my dds to be able to be kids longer or do I expect them to start working like I did.

3 day weekend is coming up but DW says there is work to do at home..

Oh no, none of that work at home stuff.

If we can win that lottery, I say 7 day weekends will be in order:thumbsup2

I'm already there in my mind.

I'm not the biggest union fan, personally. And every issue that seems to be on the forefront doesn't even affect me! Bleh
.

Had many friends when younger who had dads in unions. Saw the effect of different strikes. FIL is union, and they went thru a strike as well. From history, unions definitely had their value in helping establish work hours, wages, and safety conditions. Sometimes, I think unions are ready to be done away with. Then, we see greedy CEOs who give themselves raises and bankrupt contracted employee pension plans. I never have an issue with someone owning a business, taking that risk and making money, but never at the expense of the individuals working with them.

cough...cough...cough

It must be pretty smoky in TO tonight, seemed to be some choking going on.

Now that that is over, time for the matters at hand...

Looking for a decent beachfront hotel in the Cocoa Beach area. Not going to book anything till much closer to the trip, but looking at online reviews, just about everyplace sucks :rotfl2: Time to asl people who's opinions actually matter. Anything to lean to/avoid like plague?

Oh man, we needed that goal!!:cool1:

It's ok he made up for his broken nose by setting up that goal. :rotfl2: :lmao:

:lmao:

:wave2: Dave...

See that goal? Now 4-1!!!!

I am really impressed with their playoff performance... I know I was joking earlier on, but I honestly didn't think they'd make it out of round 1...

Been busy with work lately, and spring cleaning... No rest!!!

How's Briana? Has she started yet??

4 - 2

Exactley... They aren't conditioned enough to play 82 games... But 40 or so... No problem. :lmao:

Look at it from the positive side... It'll free up some of your time to head down to Maple Leaf square to watch a game next round.

Welcome to the twilight zone!!!

That's pride your hearing.... Sounds like choking, but it's pride! ;)

Wow.... Just wow!

We have nothing to hang our heads about...

First playoff appearance in 9 years. Next year, we try...:rotfl2:

;)

We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Cocoa Beach. It wasn't a bad spot.
