Well, the second longest winning streak in NBA history ended last night. Not a bad run. I wonder which will last longer, the Heat winning streak or a Marlins losing streak?
Speaking of baseball, tomorrow is Ryder's 1st birthday. The Brewers and White Sox (DW's favorite team) are playing an exhibition game at Miller Park, so we got tickets - 15 rows behind home plate - for $10 each.We made him a little jersey with "Ryder" and the number 1 on the back. Tried to call the Brewers to have them put his name on the scoreboard for his birthday, but their &*$#% computer system is only set up for regular season games.
I might be able to talk to the guest relations people at the stadium tomorrow, though.
He ordered the "Mr. Ed" special

Considering that the Marlins will have 162 opportunities to lose, my money is on them. I can see them easily having at least 2 or 3 20+ game losing streaks this year.

Hello fellow Disney Dad's. I have been on these boards for more than 10 years (mainly DVC related) and finally found this location. I am an advid WDW fan. Spent many times there growing up in the 70's and early 80's. After having my first child in 2000, I convinced my wife to purchase into the DVC and have been going regulary since. We love it. I am the orchastrator/quarterback for planning our trips out. I already have the next two years mapped out. We have three children 12 yr old son, 10 yr old daughter and a 10 month old baby boy. Looking forward to spending time with you fellow Dad's in the future.
Well, the more I think about it, it really does take some exceptionally ridiculous level of sucking to lose 20 straight games in baseball. What are the odds that you play 20 games and don't once face a pitcher that is just having one of those games when every pitch looks like a beach ball, or the other team is resting key players and they aren't scoring runs? You made me curious so I looked it up. The longest losing streak in MLB is 24 games, set by the 1889 Cleveland Spiders. Spiders?
Since 1900, the team with the longest losing streak in baseball was the Philadelphia Phillies, who lost 23 consecutive games from July 26 to August 20 in 1961.
Come on Marlins, you can do worse than that! If they have a chance to break the streak this year and are playing at home, I may just go to the ballpark.

In case anyone was wondering... The camera down the throat was uneventful. Propofol was great but not the hallucinogenic I was hoping for. And there's nothing weird in my stomach. Doc says that's good news, but I took it as bad. Nothing weird in there means they don't know what's going on. New batch of pills to take- oh, goody. Not been posting lately as I'm nervous to be on the disboards after last week's virus. Don't want to make the IT people angry. You wouldn't like them when they're angry.

The Marlins play the Twinkies in April and June. That'll bust up any losing streaks.Well, the second longest winning streak in NBA history ended last night. Not a bad run. I wonder which will last longer, the Heat winning streak or a Marlins losing streak?
