My wife is packaging up all the ones my colleagues ordered from my daughter. I think I have to tote in something like 80 boxes.

Congrats to the little cookie pusher! We didn't do so well this year. We figured out with the time, gas, and extra cookies we had to buy last year we were better off just making a donation to the troop. DD hit up the folks at the office and that was enough.

I was given a box of the new Mango Creams (with Nutrifusion) for helping yesterday. I'm not impressed. They have more of a coconut taste than mango taste.

Morning dads. Happy Thursday. Hope all the kids are feeling well and that none of our bosses suck today.

‘Morning.

That’s a nice sentiment but…
I ain’t so sure that the second half of that hope is actually possible.

Good morning.

I came to the conclusion last night that I'm too old to keep playing basketball with guys who just graduated from high school. But in all honesty, I don't see that stopping me from trying... :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

“A man’s got to know his limitations.”

But that don’t mean that he’s got to adhere to that knowledge. :lmao:

I thought it was my burgers 'n beans.:confused3

No, he was talking about that other smell…
And you need to go off into one of the other rooms of the clubhouse if you’re gonn’a bet releasing assaults like that.

I've never let a little thing like "common sense" stop me before. You just need to play the part of the wise, grizzled veteran. (i.e.: Play dirty.)

Leave it to Barry to very quickly arrive at the most correct wrong answer.

Rob, for some reason I can't quote your posts.

Thanks for the comments on DS. He improves all the time but he has had his challenges. Huge growth spurts (he is about 5'9") as as an 11 year old have taken away some of his coordination but it is coming back as he gets stronger. The two leagues are quite a bit different as well. The school team plays on a 10' hoop and the mini boys league is on a 8'6" or 9' net. He has found switching back and forth, sometimes on the same day, to be a bit of a challenge at time.

I did start to read your trip report as well and was enjoying it and gettnig some great tips. Unfortunately life got in the way and I haven't got back to it in a while.

Hummm…
must be some kind of customs or boarder patrol issue.

I could contact Homeland Security, but no good will come of it I’m sure.

Life does that… just wanted to toss it out as a option. Glad you could glean anything useful out of my rambling disorganized thought processes.

::yes:: Age and treachery always beat youth and skill.

I ticked off every joint and mussels in my body last night. Was volunteering up at the high school breaking down and storing risers and what ever else was in the way. We’ve got about 500 kids from all over the area coming in for regional honors band clinics and performances starting Friday and needed to make sure all of them had room to work and practice. It’s amazing how much heavier all that gear has gotten over the years. That must be the problem because it can’t be that I’m just getting older and even more out of shape.

Sounds like it's time to start "supervising" the young guys. Welcome to middle management! :thumbsup2:rotfl:

Sorry. Try not to light a match.

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: Now there's a perfect turn of phrase.

I think you should run in the boots and give others a chance.
I considered it, but I think I'm just gonna go with regular old running shoes.

So that's who wore it! I remember the dress but I never got around to looking above the neck to see who it was. :rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:
lol

Maybe I should watch award shows. :goodvibes:goodvibes
That's the best use of an emoticon since "not a thumb"

Yes, pics and good luck in the run. 90 is pretty hot. stay safe.
Thanks. It's gonna be warm but we're just going to take is slow and enjoy ourselves.

4 nights on the Dream with stops in Nassau and Castaway Cay followed by 4 night in Kissimee with the in-laws. We plan on taking them to MK for their first time to WDW.
That sounds like and awesome trip. Are you going to try the Castaway Key 5K?

Well, 'we' have decided to move our trip to WDW from Thanksgiving 2013 back to June/July 2014. Something about a thing called a 'budget' or some nonsense. I thought part of the experience of going to WDW was financing it, but she seems to think paying cash is better. :confused3

At least we are still planning a trip, albeit over a year from now.

Well having a trip planned is better than no trip, but it's still a bummer.

I think we are going to take a walk to the Queen's Staircase and Fort Fincastle and then back aboard the ship. DW has a spa appointment in the afternoon while DS and I will hit the Aquaduct. We haven't heard a lot of great things about Nassau.
Sounds like a good plan. With a 4 day trip there isn't that much time to explore the boat. We did the same trip and opted to spend our Nassau time on the Dream but DW and I had been there once before.

Team Sparrow has added another member and now consists of James, me, Brent, Brett, and Jim. Truly, this team is exceptional.

Absolutely. We can yell and hoot in between drinks. Clapping is acceptable when wearing the double can beer hat.

Hoist the colors. I guess the traditional ones are black flag and white skull and cross boards. But, the good thing about being pirates is that we can hoist whatever we want or can steal.

Congrats to DS.

Found your colors mate!

Morning all…
Budgets and reality are the two greatest impediments to my Disney obsession.
Great quote. Gonna use that early and often with people

Did not know that one.
Anyone got a picture of that one?
I have not but it's on my to do list for the next trip. If I recall, it's behind you as you as the ride is coming to its conclusion.

I like it.

The workout for the year.
Raise the Jolly Roger!
And I've recently begun exercising...mostly motivated by the fact that I want to be able to get to the Fast Passes for TSM before the other patrons.

Nice! I like it…
But I still say Go Team Couch Tater!!!

80 boxes! A nice sales outing.
Ya’ll done good for the troop.

:lmao:
I may have to lift that phrase for later use.
We sold about 150 total boxes...mine sold themselves. I had a form on my desk and my coworkers did the rest.

I forced people that bought cookies off of me to buy ones that I like. I think our regional "new" flavor was "Thank You Berry Munch". Too healthy...didn't look appealing to me!

My boss is a British tyrant. But he's on vacation right now, so I have a brief reprieve. I actually can't complain...good guy, treats me well at compensation time.

:thumbsup2

Thanks. I hope your DS is feeling well enought to play.

DS hasn't played against his cousin this year but it is fun to watch when they do play. They got at each other pretty hard. My nephew is a couple of months older but DS has about a foot on him so it makes for an interesting match up

He said he feels a little better this morning, thanks. DS is a few months younger, they are about the same height. DS easily has 30 pounds on him though (not sure they feed him over there). Should be a fun time.

My wife is packaging up all the ones my colleagues ordered from my daughter. I think I have to tote in something like 80 boxes.

Just started selling them here. Weird how they are sold at different times depending on where you are, but I guess orders from the entire country at once may be hard to meet.

Budget, smudget. Get a Disney Chase Visa and do 6 months finance free. I've heard of this elusive "cash" thing but I'm thinking it's the financial equivalent of a unicorn.

:thumbsup2 Agree with this. Even if you have the $$, why not take advantage of keeping it in your pocket a little longer. I have our August trip money saved up, but still plan on letting chase front me the cash for a few months.
