Trying to do online dining for our May trip since last night. Got one in and 10+ attempts to add a second one I keep getting Donald telling me the server is busy. Very frustrating. Luckily I am not really tied to getting this specific reservation so am not going to call them.

I was able to link my DVC and the one reservation on the My Disney Experience page though.

I would call. I had trouble reserving on line and when I called, everything went quick and easy. OF course I am enjoying Donald telling you NO!:lmao::lmao:

‘Morning all…
Been on Beverly of a work week down here.

So… what’d I miss?

Norm is going on a cruise in 2015. The penguins are still here and it's Friday. That's about it.

CJ threw out his shoulder trying out for the Marlins.

The sad part is he actually made the roster.:rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks for remembering. And...no.

Partly because I have a near-constant pain in my abdomen, but lately just depressed because I can't be as active as I'd like. My gut already threw a wrench in my half-marathon but my 10k (which I already paid for ) might not happen for me. That's a bummer because our 10k in Richmond is one of the biggest and most popular races in the country. Everybody in town gets excited for it and we're quite proud of it. And at work there's a fun-run at 3:30 today followed by FREE BEER and I'll probably have to skip that too. I'm probably in shape for all these runs, but my gut says no.

That stinks! Any way to get the appointment moved up to get it taken care of sooner. With my knee, I found that I felt better about an hour after running even though it was tough to run. Mentally and physically. Get better.

Beverly! Thats' the part that stinks the worst! I sure hope the Dr's can help you feel better soon. I ran for the first time since the HM last night. I had been doing some other exercise for a while but man those 2 miles were not pretty. Have to gear up for the 8k Shamrock Shuffle in Chicago in 3 weeks.

Good luck training. I am still at about a 14 minute mile and the kids are laughing at the way I run. Starting to think I should stop working out at home and join the gym.

Whoa, whoa, whoa..... is there a requirement that I have to be competent at fantasy baseball? Sorry I'm a Cubs fan. I've got the fantasy part, but baseball?

:thumbsup2 If I can get in, that makes two of us.

Did the race to close down this penguin thread start?

It would appear Randall has had a premature ejacuposting. :lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

I can see what that little guy is thinking.....Penguins can fly! Penguins can fly!.....:lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

Florida just killed LSU 80-58.

Just call them CJ. Do you need the number?

Didn't really care if I got the ADR and wanted to test the system. Had to call Member Services today so I added it them. I also have all the Disney numbers on speed dial so I don't need to know the number.

CJ threw out his shoulder trying out for the Marlins.

But he's still favored to crack the rotation. :lmao:

If you’re gonn’a give up the body, one would think you’d pick a better cause
:lmao:

...and get traded to Toronto.

I throw right handed and this is the left shoulder. I messed it up sliding into third. Turned down the Toronto trade, too cold.

Sorry to hear this Chris. Hopefully the wait list comes through.

CJ, when in May are you going? We're planning on being at WDW May 19-25.

Cool. We are there the 22-25th. Lets figure out a meet up.

Good luck training. I am still at about a 14 minute mile and the kids are laughing at the way I run. Starting to think I should stop working out at home and join the gym.

Glad the taunting lessons I gave the kids are paying off.

Managed to make thru noon before I left the office. All my projects are completed thru the end of the year, so I have to sit in the office chair until my cell phone battery dies from all the game playing. I guess I need to start bringing my iPad more to work for a second battery life. Did manage a nice fish lunch at Long John Silver's with DW and oldest dd. Tomorrow is the big Spring dance production, and today were the school performances. They finished around noon and it was a nice relaxing afternoon. I need to check my work email to see if anyone even noticed I left. :surfweb: :lmao: Soccer practice tonight and first game tomorrow.

Hmmmmm 2015 cruise.:scratchin I'll start working on the spouse now.

Have fun planning the October trip.

The more the merrier. The October trip is starting to focus.
Sat - Lunch at Earl of Sandwich; Dinner at Olivia's
Sun - DHS (no ADRs)
Mon - Resort at Fulton's Crab House for Dinner
Tues - MK - BoG dinner
Wed - Resort, Welcome Home Wednesday, and ESPN Club dinner
Thurs - Epcot - Akershus Breakfast
Fri - Wolfgang Puck Express and depart

The theme park days could still change and we could still drop one to add a MNSSHP. But, I like those three days as it gives up park days and relax days. I may just try to book BoG each of those three days, and whichever one we get is the day we'll go to MK. I've never done a 1 BR for 7 days. I'm really looking forward to it.

Where is the polar bear in that picture? An amazing disguise.

Did the race to close down this penguin thread start?

:lmao:

Definitely. Will Crash be joining you? Just want to know if I should prepare our girls with their own shivs.

As if running wasn't difficult enough without an obstacle course and threat of death.

Wisc. 68 Mich. 59 Cheeseheads for everyone. The cold monkey must be happy.

Just have to save that raft for 2015 or plan to mutiny with me. Those would be some expensive beers aboard the boat.

The kid is whining about a cruise. The big trip this year is the UK to vacation with a friend. We may sail next year. Although I am lobbying for another cruise line (NOT CARNIVAL). Blaspheme, I know. She is pushing for Disney. Worse comes to worse you can look for me on the raft. Wonder if they would give me charging privileges after they pick me up? If they do, drinks are on me.

Probably one of the best things about DVC is enjoying the resorts. They have nice pools, water slides, good restaurants, community halls, and so much more. We still go commando on park says - RD to close - but we enjoy the resort in between.

Amen. I more and more enjoy chilling at the resort instead of running around the parks.

Definitely. Will Crash be joining you? Just want to know if I should prepare our girls with their own shivs.

Crash will be with me but don't worry about the shiv. That is used exclusively for Paul. And maybe Carl. She could give the girls lessons if you want.

It is the final leg of the trip to bring her home from school. During DDC time, Disney had a special on park tickets for Florida residents. Because I got sick, I only used one of the four days. The rest have to be used by June so I added this trip. I can't let them expire could I?

Only plans right now are lunch at the Brown Derby on 5-22 and dinner at Chefs de France on 5-23. Let me know if you have any ideas on a get together.

Got a message from Doc. He is going to again set up this year's bracket challenge. Get your picks ready boys.

Projects done through the year and it's middle of March? I can outsource some of my work to you!:lmao:

DW and I are starting to map out the meals. We are trying to get the character meals in before our girls could care less. We skipped Crystal Palace and CRT. So we need to figure out ehich new ones to try and which ones to recycle. We're doing MNSSHP while there and trying to coordinate with our DD's friend and family while we are there at the same time.

We also have to plan around when I'm going to disappear for 3 hours to watch the Steelers play.:cool1: Being at the boardwalk, I hope to have made myself a close enough friend to the ESPN Zone's bartenders on arrival day that they will make a spot for me on Sunday.:lmao:

Saturday evening UL & UK basketball watching ownage.

If you want to discuss payment, then outsource away. :lmao:

As for the meals, we have ate at so many, and now, we try to return to one or two favs and try some new ones. Eating our way around the world. Some meals we have skipped just because we don't like the menu. We have ate at all the character restaurants and mostly breakfast and dinner. So, for character meals, we usually just limit our rotation to CRT breakfast, Akershus breakfast, Tusker Breakfast, CM breakfast, & Cape May Breakfast, but we discern them based on which park or resort we are staying in. We've tried all the signatures, except V&A and the S&D resort, and the only ones we return now to are Fulton's, Narcoosee's, and Jiko, and those are usually determined based on the resort we are staying.

We haven't eaten at all the restaurants in Epcot yet, but during F&W, I want to snack everywhere as opposed to eat at the restaurant.

Hey Dads! DS and teammates won our semi-final game tonight. Woo-Hoo!:cool1: In the finals tomorrow! We lost to this team by 4 last time, but we plan to beat them tomorrow. Wish us luck.:thumbsup2

No shiv lessons please. I'm afraid as they move into the teenage years they'll turn on me.

As for May, here is our plans at this point for our cross-over days:

May 22 - IoA
May 23 - Dinner @ Hoop-Dee-Do
May 24 - DHS for SW weekend and late lunch at Sci-Fi

We will have PH tickets and haven't settled on a park for 23rd yet. 25th will most likely be either MK or Epcot (or both).

Sweet, sweet revenge. Good luck!

So as I'm responding to CJ, I realize I don't think I've posted our full (at this point) plan for our May Trip. I know there are a few others who will be there (zerf, I'm talking to you) during this time, so if you want to meet up, send me a PM and we can exchange Cell #s.

So here's the plan:

May 17/18 - Drive to Orlando
May 19 - MK Day. (breakfast @ Chef Mickey's; Dinner @ Ohana's)
May 20 - Epcot (lunch @ Akershus)
May 21 - Park to be named later
May 22 - Park That Must Not Be Named
May 23 - Park to be named later (Dinner @ Hoop-Dee-Do)
May 24 - DHS (Star Wars weekend) (Lunch @ Sci Fi)
May 25 - Last Park Day Hurrah (we let the kids pick what to do on the last day)

So one of the cool things about this trip is that DD2's birthday is May 18 and mine is May 26 so we will be celebrating both down at the world. Also this will be a milestone birthday for me (finally turning 21) :lmao:

Looking forward to fleshing out some more details on this in the coming few weeks, hopefully will be able to focus a bit more next week.
