Since it's so nice out today, I'm thinking for dinner I'll use one of BBQ GC's I won and order take out, and eat at the park, then my son can play awhile after dinner ( he want's a Happy Meal from MickeyD's:cool1:):confused3

Did the same on Sunday. DD and I grabbed a pizza and headed on down to the seashore. Had a nice lunch by the water and DD actually went in the 46 degree ocean to her thighs and then dunked her head. That girl would jump of the Titanic for a swim just to get wet.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

All is mostly well. Or- Mostly, all is well.
Wife's a good cook, kids are good-lookin'. Not much to complain about.

Gut issue has lessened but not gone completely. More tests came back negative which is actually a positive in some people's eyes but I viewed it as a negative. I've started running again so we'll see how it goes when I crank up the mileage.

Oh- I'll be playing hookie Friday morning to see Iron Man 3 in IMAX 3D if anyone wants to join me.

Anything new around here? I must admit, after my IT department blamed you guys for my pc's virus, I've been reluctant to come back so I have no idea what y'all have been up to.

Sorry you still have no answers. No IM3 this weekend, too many commitments. Definitely plan on seeing it next week. Glad your back. Staples has virus software for 30 buck, who needs IT?:lmao::lmao:

Don't look now. Randall's approaching a milestone.

Most penguins in Maryland?

Hey guys, I'm going to post here and on FB. One of our Polish daughters is having a birthday today. Please say a prayer for her, and that this is the last birthday she will have to spend without us.

Prayers for your daughter.......and a Happy Birthday to her as well!:bday:party:

After a long winter, the students at Seton Hall have emerged out of the darkness and were in awe (and with some fear) at this yellow orb glaring down at them. To toast their good fortune, they organized a celebration of Holi. Holi, as I am now aware, is a spring tradition of a festival of colors. It began as a Hindu religious festival which has since become popular with people of other communities, especially on college campuses. They basically throw collored powder at each other.

Of course the Pirate Princess had to participate. The result:

My school dollars at work.

In S. Florida, the weather however is not cooperating. This is day two of gnarly storms hitting the area. Yesterday it is estimated that our neighborhood got between 6-8 inches of rain. Some flooding and lightning hit a neighbor's palm tree. Storms just moved in for the night with predicted similar results. Tried to get the mutt I didn't want to go outside with a 2 iron in his mouth but he won't cooperate.

Good to see my retirement plans are working. Just how many campers can we get in your yard, CJ?

You said it. As long as her grades are there, it is ok to have some fun. Just as long as there are no boys involved - right?

That's not so bad then.

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

Good morning gents and happy hump day. To avoid a repeat of last weeks banter on hump day how about something like mound day, or bulge day, no wait that will start all kinds of noise:banana: I got it Happy Protuberance Day - that should be safe.:.

Good that your optimistic. I'm just hoping for bacon. At least I have my alcohol to comfort me.

Long time no see. Sorry to hear about the no results. I would like to catch the movie with you, but that is a long commute.

That my friend is what they call "bad time management". The goal is to space out your work properly so it eats up all 8 hours.:thumbsup2 Pretty soon they'll be "finding" things for you to do.

Nah. My boss is 3 hours away. I'd rather just get my work done and wait to post it closer to the deadline.

?

You have one of those too. Oldest dd did that year with the swim team and just loves the water. She scared DW by how far she would swim out in the ocean (even though I was out there with her).

Happy Birthday to her. Prayers the process continues smoothly.

So, we have a young girl comes into the restaurant with a resume looking for a job. She hands my wife the resume and asks "what time does this job start". My wife was a little confused because they had not even discussed any positions as of yet. DW answers "we open at 11:00. The young girls answer "oh good, it has been really hard to get out of bed in the morning"
:lmao:

Please pass this along to any sons or daughters that are looking for a summer job as a hint as to how NOT to handle an interview.
:lmao: :lmao:

BTW, her resume was littered with errors. Yikes!!

Will do!

It's amazing the quality of interviewing at all levels. I interviewed a Cardiologist the other day who had appalling body language and typos in his CV. People can be very very naive

She's got a future at the LCBO! (Yeah, that is the type of day I'm dealing with) where are we hiring these *******es from??

You got it and a very happy Birthday to her as well

Stay safe and the Pirate Princess thing is too funny. DD is going off to college in the fall - is this what I get to look forward to and as you put it so well, this is what we get for our money :confused3

Glad it is better but hope they find the root cause. Good luck with the running.

Stay safe CJ!

Hope your yard doesn't flood. There are a number of us counting on taking up residence in Normville!!

Don't tell Norm but if my yard floods it would have to be a heck of a storm. The swale sometimes but that is mostly it. Sending my birthday wishes and hoping for a great party for her next year.

You said it. As long as her grades are there, it is ok to have some fun. Just as long as there are no boys involved - right?

You got that right. Can't really have any complaints about her soon to be competed freshman year. Well, will be waiting on her grades for the second semester before the final verdict comes in.

Yikes! And hilarious.

A couple of huge bands went through but we are mostly clear now. It hit further up north this time. Life in Florida during the spring and summer. Hit or miss. Yesterday we got hit, today not as much. Tomorrow more is expected but who knows where?

As to the kid updates, just giving you guys with younger girls (NORM) a heads up that will keep you awake at night.

Hopefully, I've taught my two dds not to be that big of an idiot.

An idiot, but at least he's a cardiologist.

I told mine they are going to state schools if they want my financial assistant. We'll see how big of idiots they are.

I already knew that about your yard. I had it surveyed. David has a good plan to send them all to the convent.

Finally got pics going through Photobucket and thought I would share the family in true DISdad style. I caught all kinds of hell, especially from DD, for us wearing the same Christmas sweatshirt. We surprised the kids with a WDW christmas trip in 2011. We surprised them Christmas morning and headed out a day later staying through New Years. Despite the grief I caught, we have tons of great holiday pics with us in these shirts.

I am actually pretty lucky in that DD was leaning towards Alabama but realized on her own that out of state costs and lost of TN Hope Scholarship did not make sense. She Choose UT Chattanooga and we got in state costs plus she got Hope Schoalrship plus another scholarship through the university. So in state tuition and $7,500 per year in academic scholarships. Sorry if I am comong across as bragging but we are pretty proud parents.

Good stuff! :thumbsup2

That's not so bad then. I've seen this picture floating around on Facebook with comments about how Minnesota farmers are working on a new way of planting. Instead of no-till, they're using snow-till.

8698203571_42a35a583f.jpg
I can think of a few places on the western prairie where that might have been taken.
Sorry about that, my Blackhawks made me a nervous wreck last night. Wild played a good game, Sutter was tough, got to see a lot of him when he was here in Nashville. I swear the Presidents Cup is the kiss of death, I actually wantend the Penguins to catch the Hawks to remove the curse :stir:.

Goalies' best friend.

Go 'hawks. I thought for sure your boys would win last night.
Last night was the Wild's best chance to steal a game.

DW has told me horror stories about recent college grads. You wonder who is giving them advice.

In my interview for this job the HR person asked how I could handle having people being mad at me and swearing at me. Deadpan I responded, "I used to teach." Her response was, "You'll do fine."

Stay safe. BTW you should have used a 1 iron.
