Thursday night blizzard ownage.

Careful, CJ seems pretty comfortable talking about shiving people, and just so happens to go scuba diving out where he can drop off bodies Dexter-style without anyone ever finding them... Not someone I would anger...

Well, I guess that is one way to get to be closer to Florida.

Says the guy from a state where college sports are the definition of meaningless :rotfl2:

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

It is 0 here again today. Looks like we will get up to 15°F today. And possibly get a little snow. Just a dusting though.

We are supposed to get up to one inch of blizzard conditions starting around 3:00 AM, which means school will be cancelled for tomorrow around midnight.

One inch of blizzard conditions?? That doesn't sound right.

In my city in KY, people are already buying out the stores for milk, eggs, and bread to make French Toast in the week they think they will be snowed in here.

It's a Native American word for "Winner" :thumbsup2

You should write a book :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

after almost 32 years i think ive herd everything.:lmao:
the best one was last winter, i was at the counter in the store, a guy comes in and shows me a picture of what is called a HOT SURFACE IGNIGHTER. (remember that name) i said we had two of them and i went back and brought one up to show him. he tried to pick it up and i told him, you never touch the element part of the ignighter. the oils on your hand can cause them to burn out when power is put to them.(remember that little bit of instruction). he paid $100 for it and out the door he went.
came back 2 hours later with his hand wrapped in gauze about 4 inches thick.:confused3 he said, do you have another one, i dropped this one. sure i said. i asked what happened to your hand? he said he has to get to the e.r. but has to get his family heat first. here, (now remember the name of the part and the little bit of instruction i gave him) he plugged it into the boiler, wanted to see if it would light before putting all back together, turn the switch on!!! HE WAS HOLDING IT BY THE ELELEMENT!!!!!! that part glows red hot in about 1 1/2 seconds as soon as 24 volts is sent to it. it burn his flesh off to the bone on his two fingers!!!!!!
now, we are talking about an adult human, with thumbs. why on gods green earth would you hold something in your hand called a HOT SURFACE IGNIGHTER and PLUG IT IN???????
didnt want to pay someone to do it. so let see, you have spent $200 on a part,on your way to the e.r. and you still have no heat!!!!
so thats my hot surface ignighter story.:lmao:

reason i got......" i didnt think it would get that hot". its called a hot surface ignighter..... not a warm ignighter, miami breeze ignighter, a cold but moist ignighter, a hot surface ignighter. not to mention, when power is sent to this ignighter, the main gas valve opens. yes i said opens allowing nat. gas to flow out. you are holding the ignighter in your hand??? :confused3
sad part, could of blew himself, his family and the house next to him into a million pieces and killed everyone.

Sad. I readily admit I have little to no skills when it comes to anything mechanical. My dad never taught me how to do those things. So, I will gladly pay for someone to install these things into my house. Fortunately, I have a friend who is a handyman who likes getting paid in cash. It works out well for both of us.

Old Key West. my wife and kids, my mom and 2 siblings and an in law. it'll be a great time!

So, you have a 2BR or a GV? I've never stayed in anything over a 1 BR at WDW, but did stay in a 2BR at a resort in Gatlinburg. Those are really cool. Enjoy.

We have a grand villa. my dad bought into the DVC when I was 13. He always said we'd be able to take our kids (his grandkids) there. We went in 2010, but my dad has passed away since then, but we're still takin' his grandkids.

That is why there are warning labels on coffee cups!

Sorry to hear that about your dad, but glad you still get to take his grandkids. That is a pretty cool legacy.

Evening guys. Pretty sick of this cold weather...

Anybody have a hot surface ignitor I can borrow? :confused3

You sick? Or, just too big a party.

Not self inflicted. Still a holdover from when I was sick on the trip. It came back with a vengeance. Was able to eat something for the first time in a couple of days. Feeling better.

Taking the Carnival Pride out of Baltimore to the Bahamas. Took this same trip (on the same ship) for our honeymoon, and decided we wanted to do it again.

As I mentioned earlier, I was looking to also do this trip... was talking about this summer, but your post got me thinking... so I checked into an earlier cruise to escape the winter... and well...

WE JUST BOOKED!!!

We are going in 2 weeks... February 10 - got a balcony room. :cool1:  :cool1:

Congrats!

You could have booked the Dream on March 3rd and we could have started out own DDC, maybe even convinced a few more dads to get out of this deep freeze. :goodvibes

You get a TiW card now, DVC member.

.

I just don't think I will get the $100 value out of it on our march trip (only good for WDW) we have 3 ADRs for 3 adults and a child, and will try for BOG QS (isn't covered), I've roughly figured out we would prob get the cost of the card back but is the 20% discount before or after gratuity?

Are y'all doing any WDW before the cruise?
