One down, two to go! :hyper:

And now for the fallout from Friday's escapades....:rotfl2:

Not much was said of it when I came in, boss had an idea but hadn't gotten to deal with it yet, she was tryong to catch things up from missing the week. After she left for lunch, her boss showed up with his assistant and the acting DM at the time, they walked around and talked a lot with the assistant (who wanted to intercept/deal with them) and stayed for a couple of hours talking to the boss etc, with what they want.
Apparently we need to have the store at 100% for Thursday, including having the floors stripped and refinished.:confused3:confused: :sad2: All and all, not too bad, aside it means no coasting to vacation, going to be a hard working couple of nights.
There will be some mild reprecussions on procedures, etc.

Assistant thinks there will likely be some moves to boot, and in a small and sad way I hope there is, at least one.

As for myself I'm in the clear, Boss pullled me aside later on since I'll be gone for a bit soon, and confided some things that I got to keep TIGHT lipped. Amongst the changes is I'm going to take over handling the beer section when I get back. Sales in that area are down, she knows it's my specialty. This is why I want the move, the only moral problem, is it's run by my buddy, and it could lead to sore feelings. He is the one always in her bad books, and hs wanted out for some time, I know he got in the ear of the DM today so maybe he will get what he wants, and no straining of a friendship, y'know what I mean?

On the BIG plus, the way things are going, there will be NO issues I will need to worry about when I clock out Wednesday, I can head to Disney with a CLEAR conscience :cool1::cool1:

Thanks for all the thoughts and wishes, I might just get a win out of this yet.:thumbsup2
Sounds like things went pretty well.

Considered Cosmetic surgery.... coverage = $0.00
And I thought Canadians had good insurance

So if you do believe in, and talk to, some sort of higher being, could you mention Ryder to him/her? It would be much appreciated. I'll try to pop on with relevant updates as I get them.
Hope it turns out well, best wishes.

Am I the only one who thinks this is overkill?

I don't see a problem. Could use more bacon though.

Well, let's seeeeeee....
I saw a bunch of you were following along last Monday on our Tower of Terror marathon. Sorry I didn't get on here, but it's a real pain to post pics from my phone to here. I'll get back here later with pictures and a write up, but this Monday was decidedly less magical.
DW took Ryder (16 months) to the doc to look at an odd mark under his armpit. We assumed it was some kind of infection, and that we'd get a prescription for amoxicillin or something and be told to make a follow up appt for 2 weeks later. Boy was I surprised to get the call from DW saying they had admitted him to the hospital for a few days of iv antibiotics and possible surgery if it doesn't clear up.

Grace and I added Ryder to special prayers. If y'all need anything, let us know.

So, the power of the British Commonwealth rears its ugly smile once again :lmao:

What about training camp? Get to go to those?

Yes! Training camp is about an hour from my office. I have customers that I must see on a regular basis in that area. They have a great play area for kids :thumbsup2

Glad there was no collateral damage.
Enjoy the trip sir. Sounds like you could use the time.

Yah… it’s a bit much.
Now if they were to lose the olive… that’d just about fix it.

Man oh man, I'm getting excited...Knocked off another thing off the to-do list this morning. Two more sleeps.

Ummm is this a serious drink? I mean isn't that going overboard? Unacceptable, who the hell puts a Brewers Flag in a drink?? :rotfl2:

Oh yeah, especially since it's the night before the big visit, everything has to be RIGHT. Since she'll be there that night, there will be no "I wonder if it's good enough" and I won't feel like I need to call the store in the AM to follow up.

Also by the time the big shots arrive, I'll be out of the country :thumbsup2

The only stupid thing is this wouldnever have come to this IF the higher ups didn't keep cutting back manpower and budgets. You can't fill shelves if there are no bodies. Another issue is our supplying warehouse, it never has half the stuff we need to keep the shelves full. This needs to be addressed too, best thing would to link us back up to the main warehouse, where we could get the stock we need.

Definitely praying for the little guy. He's in the right place and I'm sure they'll take good care of him.

Have to talked to Dr. Chris? I'm sure he can help out.

That's funny- I don't remember going to med school. But I'll pray for him anyway.

Don't count on the overlords ever making a wise decision though. The Peter Principle is accurate.:rolleyes1

Good morning

Brent, I'm glad that the $#!t didn't run downhill to you. I would be nice to not have to bust your tail the last few days before vacation, but all things considered, it looks like good news.

Barry, sorry to hear about Ryder. Hopefully they'll get it under control and he'll be out of there after a couple of days.

David, I'm glad the adoption process is moving in the right direction!

Sitting at home with DS today. He's had a fever since yesterday, and it got up to about 103 this morning. Hasn't had any other symptoms of anything though, except that he doesn't want to eat anything. I took him to the Dr and they don't know what it is. Said it is probably a virus. They took a few swabs to run some tests but otherwise we just have to keep getting him to drink and monitor the fever.

The good news is that when they checked his height with his shoes off, he was 39 1/2" We're sitting here watching the Disney World planning DVD right now as I type this so I think that might be helping him feel a little better.:thumbsup2

Did you at least stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night?
