DIS Dads DDC XXIX: We’re Over 750 Dads, With A Disney Problem!

No, probably not. I wish I had the time to actually make that long of a list. Do you have all of those movies in hard form? I have a good friend that has been buying movies for years and the room he keeps them in makes him look like a hoarder.

Off to DD final hoops game of the regular season before the playoff. Will check in later. Over and out.

I can just imagine. Sadly, not yet. I’ve got maybe a quarter of the ones on that list. Which is why I stop and watch ‘em on the telle when they crop up.

Now here’s the rest of that story (feel free to ignore it)…
I never get what I want for Christmas: which is cold hard cash. The reasoning (by my in-laws in particular) is that everyone figures that I’d just use such to pay bills… and they’re right. But I don’t really want anything else that doesn’t cost more than is proper for a gift. To combat this I sat down and put together a long list of mostly old films and that I would like to have on DVD. I offer up three of four of those each year as something I’d like to receive. So when David asked the question, I already had the list (and I only picked some of the ones from it). There are really only about three to five films from any one year on the master, but it goes all the way back to 1934 so in total it’s fairly lengthy. Heck, I didn’t even include any of the Marx or Ritz Brothers films in my post (and that’s a grave oversight).

Morning guys. I am spending the day with a rep from one of adhesive/tape suppliers. He is from Germany. All I've been told is he eats steak for lunch and dinner and there is no way he can be out drunk.

Agreed. I usually get cash from the relatives. I tell them I got fatter and I need a larger size. They laugh, but it doesn't work.

Beyond NCIS, old movies are just about the only thing on television that I can watch.

I never got into NCIS. I'll watch occasionally, but I really liked Law & Order with Goren & Eames.

Bummer, looks like you'll have to buy me a Dole Whip in January. I am pretty sure I'll be there to cheer on the runners of Team Sparrow. Just finalizing an Orlando seminar.

Good afternoon Gentlemen. It only took a year and a half but I'm finally getting the hang of working graveyard shift. I can fall asleep at about 8pm on my Sunday night without too much effort and I can nap 3 hours right after getting home. So naturally I am going to keep submitting for a shift change until I get it.

I liked that shift. I have to get up between 6:00 - 6:30 AM to get child to school at 7. I can't stand getting up that early in the morning. Only two more years until she moves to middle school which starts at 8:00 AM. Then, I can sleep in a little later.

Congrats on the new car, condolences to the emergency fund. I guess if the light has been on for 3 years it was to be expected. Just think. If you ruin the Aztek, then you can get a new car too..

The Aztek has 112K miles, so I plan to at least get another 6 years out of it. But, I can put 15K - 20K per year.

Sounds like the new car was the right choice. I drive a Lexus ES which is basically the same car, but I got to spend a lot more money to buy it. Bought it used in 2008 (it's a 2006) and it has 110K miles on it and have done nothing but the normal maintenance. The Camry will last a good long time.

Hmmmmm, a DVC contract. Let me know if you decide to sell and I'll check with Town Hall. We have talked about it, but I seem to keep getting vetoed.:

That's why I picked the Camry. DW should be driving it for a long time. As for the DVC contract, David asked first, then Chris, and you third. But, I will keep you in mind.

That's a good question. I like the other answers, other and I'll add the documentary, Alone in the Wilderness, about the guy who builds a cabin and lives in Alaska.

You're second on that list after David. True about emergency fund, and maybe it would just make sense to not worry about it. But, I worry. It is just a contract - can always save up extra and buy another later. And, I'll still keep one of my contracts.

Is it not letting you book? You should have a box on the top left to put in your dates, then a tab under for coupons and then a tab for your insiders number. Is that not what you get?

I can't get to it on my phone, but will take a look when I get home tonight and confirm. I was able to enter the coupon code, then signed in with insiders as well. Then entered the VISA code once in the rental page.
