Hey guys!! What's a movie, that no matter what you are doing if it's on TV, you stop what you are doing and watch it or a movie you go to in order to feel good or get out of a funk? Anyone...anyone??
Here's mine:

Has anyone else noticed how clean Norm's garage is?

Yeah, now that you mention it........... What the heck Norm, how does a garage not have anything in it other than a car and dart board on the wall?

Wow... I don't even know where to start. I guess if I was just in the mood to watch something from my DVD/Blu Ray collection just to clear my mind, I'd probably have to say Transformers... the first one. I always seem to reach for that DVD whenever I just want to sit around and not think about anything.

As for movies that I will stop channel surfing and watch on TV (even though I've probably already got them in my collection without commercials)

Any Indiana Jones movie
Star Wars (Episodes 4 - 6)
Any James Bond movie
Any "Vacation" movie
Bueller
Blazing Saddles
Jurassic Park (definitely the first, maybe the second, not the third)
Meet the Robinsons (watched it last night - hands down the most underrated Disney movie ever)

And I'm sure I could name about 50 more if I really wanted to. :rotfl2: Pretty much, any good movie will stop me in my tracks when I'm channel surfing.

Pick one?
Can’t do it.

There is so little on the Telle that is even watchable that I’m generally looking for some type of move or the thing is turned off.

But here are some the things (that actually can be found on cable from time to time) that will keep me from switching the channel (and I had to work to cut the list down)…

First off:

Star Wars IV V & VI
Star Trek II & IV
Goldfinger (really most Bond films but the older ones more so)

Comedies (in order of release date) = = = = =
Mister Roberts
Some Like It Hot
Father Goose
M*A*S*H
And Now For Something Completely Different
Blazing Saddles
Young Frankenstein
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Animal House
Airplane!
Caddyshack
History of the World: Part I
Stripes
My Favorite Year
A Christmas Story
Yellowbeard
Ghostbusters
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
The Princess Bride
Bull Durham
Major League
Men in Black

(unfortunately most of these are badly cut up in the regular channels.)

Adventures (in order of release date) = = = = =
North by Northwest
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Kelly's Heroes
The Sting
Three Days of the Condor
Raiders of the Lost Ark
The Right Stuff
Memphis Belle
The Hunt for Red October
The Shawshank Redemption
Apollo 13
The Green Mile
The Bourne Identity
Curse of the Black Pearl

Dramas (in order of release date) = = = = =
The Maltese Falcon
Casablanca
Dial M for Murder
To Kill a Mockingbird
Cool Hand Luke
In the Heat of the Night
Die Hard
Goodfellas

and way too many more...

Looks like I will be putting the kid on a plane and not driving her up. So it is doubtful I will be stopping by the World until January.

Bummer, looks like you'll have to buy me a Dole Whip in January.:worried: I am pretty sure I'll be there to cheer on the runners of Team Sparrow. Just finalizing an Orlando seminar.

Morning! Two more weeks! :hyper:

Awesome! We are pretty much done except for the US Cash. This week I got the photopass CD ordered, and booked the boat tour. http://www.islandboatlines.com/ Just pretty much packing and trying up loose ends here.

Original plan was to leave really early Thursday morning and push as far as we could, but as it turns out we'll wait till I'm paid that day to get the last of our cash, so we won;t get on the road till just after 9, only downside is we will hit traffic on the evil QEW of hell now. But all is good.

Yup, don't enjoy traffic. Looks like everything is in good shape. We fly out on the 21st and arrive at MCO around 10:30. Should be able to get to the world by lunch time, have a swim and try to decide if we want to hit a park that night.

We have direct deposit so no checks to cash or money to collect. I just use my debit card.

I'm glad it was just a short list.:rotfl2::lmao:

It may have been better to let us know which movies you won't watch.:thumbsup2

Yes sir! Go to the Visa website and click on the discounts tab. They will give you a customer ID and promotional code. You get 20% off plus $15.

AND you get to add it to any other discounts. It allowed me to us a different 20% discount, the insiders discount (not sure of the %, they just start you at a certain rate. I guess I could go figure it out if needed), upgrade to higher class and another 10% off for prepaying. I believe they call it "stacking" the coupon codes.

:listen: I heard THAT! Thanks so much for this tip! I hope I'm not the only one that benefits from this knowledge! Off to Alamo's web site now!

Hey guys!! What's a movie, that no matter what you are doing if it's on TV, you stop what you are doing and watch it or a movie you go to in order to feel good or get out of a funk? Anyone...anyone??

Ferris Bueller's Day Off

I look forward to everyones responses.

For DW and I it is Wedding Singer. I'm sure I'get a few of these looks for this choice:

For some reason my quote button isn't working, but Rob...I don't think you have given the favorite movies question enough thought?
:lmao:

All I can say is yes, to every single movie you listed. I've even gone as far as listing all of my collection and I have a column for those must do old faithful movies, along with a Bond and Disney tab.

I'm glad it was just a short list.:rotfl2::lmao:

Yah I kept it short just for you. :rotfl2:

I admit I got carried away but, it was hard to pick one or even one type.
Sorry ‘bout that chief… I won’t let it happen again
(so far as you know  ).

It may have been better to let us know which movies you won't watch.:thumbsup2

I don’t know…
Think about how many films were released in just the past six month.
And then think about just how stunningly bad nearly all of them are.

Do you really want to read that list? :lmao:

You may be right. I should probably reconsider my short list a might. :lmao:

I keep a spreadsheet of the films I’d like to own if I find tem cheap enough or can acquire them as Christmas gifts or such (I never know what I want for Christmas). When you sent out your challenge, I just called that up and figured I find the one that I liked best. Wrong… I just couldn’t narrow it down any farther :rotfl:

I knew I was going to catch a lot of grief for posting that, but I figured I’d do it anyway
As Bugs said: “If I do’d it… I get a whipping… “

“I do’d it!”

Looks like Alamo's web site is not working properly. :confused3

Is it not letting you book? You should have a box on the top left to put in your dates, then a tab under for coupons and then a tab for your insiders number. Is that not what you get?:confused3

I can't get to it on my phone, but will take a look when I get home tonight and confirm. I was able to enter the coupon code, then signed in with insiders as well. Then entered the VISA code once in the rental page.

No, probably not. I wish I had the time to actually make that long of a list.:lmao::lmao: Do you have all of those movies in hard form? I have a good friend that has been buying movies for years and the room he keeps them in makes him look like a hoarder.:happytv: :rolleyes1

Off to DD final hoops game of the regular season before the playoff. Will check in later. Over and out.

Another good luck tonight with your friends & let us know how you do

Good afternoon Gentlemen. It only took a year and a half but I'm finally getting the hang of working graveyard shift. I can fall asleep at about 8pm on my Sunday night without too much effort and I can nap 3 hours right after getting home. So naturally I am going to keep submitting for a shift change until I get it.

Nemie- shoot me a PM with your Address so I can send something from the world.
On its way. :thumbsup2

Ok I cooked up a pack tonight, opening the pack I noticed right away that the bacon looked like a mini football but made sense since a duck is not a huge animal, another thing I noticed was the fat to meat ratio, with reg bacon it is more fat, with duck it was more meat less fat, when I put it in the pan it had a gamey smell, while cooking I made a few calls and got together 4 male neighbors + myself to make 5 all from ages 22 - 74 to help in the taste test, each person had 2 slices of duck bacon, for appearance and texture it got 5 thumbs up, while we all agreed it was a little saltier then regular bacon it got 5 thumbs up for taste it had more meat less fat then regular bacon it made up for the salt with a flavorful meat:thumbsup2, next was the question is it more like pork bacon or turkey, across the board everyone said pork. Everyone agreed that the regular price was way to rich for our blood, if it was offered we would all eat it again.

After the test since I have 5 more packs we came up with a signature dish for my next BBQ, It was 5 thumbs up for Buffalo sirloin steak cut up wrapped in duck bacon:confused3

So what does Duck Bacon sell for:confused3 Regular retail is 11.99 for a 8oz pack so your looking at 23.98 a pound:scared1:
YUMMY!!!

Germans drink real beer. Not that beer flavored water you drunken Sconnies drink by the case.

We budget each day, so I'd rather deal with cash, besides we've had issues with debit in the states in the past. :headache:

We should hit WDW on the 19th fairly early on, just got to do the drive from Cocoa Beach to POP. That day is reserved for DTD and the pool, dinner at Park Fare
