Another Tuesday ownage.

The bounce back was 35%, but I had to ask them as nothing was in the room. The manager I spoke with mentioned that they are not leaving them in all the rooms anymore. She didn't really give a reason. Brent said his was a free dining BB at POP. I wonder if thats because we checked out before FD started while he stayed longer and into the FD period.

I think you will do better with that offer than the FD. What is the final amount of the bounce back offer plus the cost of 4 dining plans (4 X 56 X #days = ).

Yup you guys can take it out for a test drive. It's a pressure fryer for those of you who haven't figured it out.. I've only put chicken and potatoes in it so far but I've been told pork chops come out awesome.

I remember those, although our fryer was not quite as big. Still a lot of fun to cook up a batch of fried chicken. Not so much fun to drain it.

Okay vent time. Background, DS has an extremely mild case of Goldenhar Syndrome. As a result he sees a buttload of specialists once a year. That day is two weeks from today. DW just got a call that they want to do the CT scan to look for middle ear bones BEFORE the appointment! They also said he needs to be sedated and will need a physical first. On top of all this DW is switching jobs on Wednesday next week so the window to do this is super small. As result DS gets to miss his first day of preschool on Friday. Nice of them to give us two weeks to get this done when the original appointment was made a year ago!

Prayers. Sorry to hear about all the garbage they put you thru.

On the plus side, I got my birthday present from my in-laws this weekend (my birthday was in May) and they got me a new kraut crock. So yesterday I was able to shred and crock about 10lbs of cabbage. Now to wait 4-6 weeks for fermentation. (yes, I live in the fast lane )

That is some serious kraut. I've never made my own kraut, but it sounds good.

First time for us for MNSSHP!! I can't wait, I really need this vacation.

Will probably miss much of the rest of the thread. A mistake in a grant closing date that never got resolved left me with an extreme amount of work to get done on top of the normal work and little time to do it. I'll get it done or we will loose out on $11K but it is things like this that are why I encourage my kids to get training in a career so they can work for themselves.

At least I am still on the green side of the sod.

Hey guys. Been unable to log on over here for a while. No major issues, just life getting in the way of fun.

As I'm not catching up on the last 30+ pages, I'll say:

As for me, our youngest started Kindergarten this year, and so now we have a 5th Grader, 4th Grader and Full Day Kindergartener. DW is happy to have them in school full days now and is slammed with work. (support for an online math website) Me, I've been busy with work, work and more work. (documentation is a female dog)

Looking forward to Fall ball (softball for the girls) starting up next weekend.

Oh, and I got an email from our favorite apple orchard last night with their picking schedule. We head up to Twin Lakes, WI (Oriole Orchards) every year for their Honeycrisp apples. September 21st is picking day. Any area Dads looking for some good apples, I highly recommend them.

Welcome back! We have fall basketball starting up. DD made the Premiere team in our area (10 kids made it out of about 65 try outs). Of course she is 10 and 5' 3" so that helps. We do baseball/softball in the spring. Good luck with fall ball

Apple picking here starts this weekend (a little late this year). We have plans to hit the orchards this Saturday for some fresh apples, wagon rides and cider donuts.

You know that little red folder with all the resort info that they leave in all the rooms? (It's the one we promptly put the Magic Band box on ) As we were packing up the last things to go , I took a look at it, and it was a little brochure HIDING inside it, almost like a magazine insert. It offerred Free Dining for the period of August 20-September ??. I look through Hotel binders all the time, never do at POP because I am overly familiar with it.

Sadly, we know of some looming expenses comming up, so it is just best to sit back and wait a bit longer. Wouldn't mind going north again, and it'll cost a fraction of what we pay for a trip. We can also start saving up for the next trip, and get something through CAA again.

We didn't have a little red folder. Maybe that's why there was no offer in the room. We did have some info in a blue folder, but not a lot. Maybe I need to look a little harder next time. It looks like FD may be offered when we go so I'll have to see if the BB or the FD is the better deal as we get closer.

We are looking at some house expenses, but this last trip was pretty low budget with using cc points for most of it so we decided to rebook. We do have potential home renovations and such that may put a damper on things, but we do have the trip in the budget. I also need to take down a few dying trees before winter. If I can do it myself no issues. If I have to pay someone we are looking at a few thousand dollars. Hopefully I can do it, depends on the likelyhood of me dropping one of them on the house.
