Weather.com says I'll be getting plenty of rain and 4 or 5 straight days of strong winds. We already need a new roof and this might clinch it. Anybody got an extra $7000-$8000 sitting around?

Can someone direct me to an agenda for the DDC? I thought I'd find one on the other site but I couldn't locate it. I just want to see if I will be in the same place at the same time as any of the other guys besides at the race.

Any help here for those of us who don't do facebook?

Had my annual physical. Dr doesn't know if I am alive or not until they get back my lab work. The suspense is epic.

Let us know if you're dead, lol

Took yesterday off, and what a great decision it was. End of October, 75° and sunny most of the day. Took Ryder on nice walk down to Lake Michigan, then I put him in his jumper on the back deck while I did yard work.

Got a 15K race tomorrow morning in Milwaukee on the lakefront. Temps should be just above freezing by the time we start. :cold:

Nothing like early morning going for a run shrinkage

:thumbsup2
Thanks, but you forgot the link.
I didn't forget, I was just too lazy to add it. :lmao::rotfl2:

Saw this the other day and thought about you and your fellow farmers. Scary stuff, but always a tight community. :thumbsup2
We had something similar to this around here several years ago. The circumstances for it to happen aren't exactly good, but it is kind of an impressive sight to see all the neighbors getting together and everybody's combines in the same field working to help someone out. :thumbsup2

I have a bunch of friends who are planning on running the Marine Corps Marathon in D.C. on Sunday. So not only are they running a marathon, but they could be doing it in a hurricane.
There's a fine line between dedication and stupidity.

It's kind of like someone saying they're going to run a 15K in freezing Wisconsin weather. :rolleyes1 :lmao::rotfl2:

DD and DGD are doing just fine.

Thank You for the Congratulations!

All semi-quiet on the weather front. Very little rain and just a few big breezes. Maybe Sandy is done with us.

Still trying to figure out what is going on with the cable in the family room (home of the big screen). Box works, TV works, cables changed and connected but still no signal. The signal on the dinky TV in the living room is fine. It is going to take forever for the cable company to get here so I may spend Saturday in the bedroom where the second flat screen is located.

TGIF :cool1:

In laws are coming in town. FIL is going to help with some repairs on house. I told him we have to be finished on Sat. In time for ND vs OU. It is going to be a good college football weekend :thumbsup2

Lots of good games tomorrow. Looking forward to that one and of course Florida/Georgia.

Happy Birthday Natalie Nicole!

Does she have room for the extras with all the beer and party supplies in her room?

The beer and party supplies are hidden in nooks and crannies. These supplies she can keep out in the open.

It was a couple years ago that the Disney Half was run in sleet. Consider this weather conditioning. Good luck.

I'll probably jump in the lake to cool off when I'm done. Or warm up. Depends on the water temperature.

Yeah, that just sounds crazy. :crazy2:

Join us over in the Pub, link is on page 1 post 3. To get to the agenda you might have to be a subscriber, it cost a $1 for one year.
Thanks. I'm a subscriber but I didn't think to look on page 1. I thought it might have its own thread.

Got it. I think I'm only hitting the parks one day and that will be Sunday mostly at MK. I may be able to hobble over to witness the podcast if my legs let me walk after the race.

Looking forward to the weekend. I can safely say that the Bills won't loose.

Great news and congrats!! Glad everyone is doing good..

Hope it clears up for you.

It's already feeling lessened thanks. Winded after the drop off to school and back, but any deep breath hurts. But loads better then last night.

Glad you guys made out ok. This is not looking fun:

Nope, not good for anyone. Right now the projection is for it to hit us by Wednesday, for heavy rains and strong gusty winds. Amelia watched the weather and I could see her heart breaking with the report.:sad1: She missed out last year on Halloween, getting really sick, and the thought of it again....
I pointed out to her though, it's a projection, and the path/storm can change alot in 5 days. At least at best it'll just be rainstorm here, notsomuch for others earlier in the path. Prayers to all..

Hey guys. Hope everyone gets through the storm unscathed over the weekend and next week.

Happy Birthday to Natalie! :cool1:

I know you'll pay me back for all of these one day.

Live it up!

I had a bacon egg and cheese biscuit from McDonald afterward. It's a start.

I just want to say good luck. We're all counting on you.

COunting what?

Good luck. If we make tournament championship, it will be in the 50s for soccer, which is a lot cooler than most are used to.
Weather.com says I'll be getting plenty of rain and 4 or 5 straight days of strong winds. We already need a new roof and this might clinch it. Anybody got an extra $7000-$8000 sitting around?

Won't your homeowners insurance cover it?

Any word yet? You could be our first zombie dad. Watch out for Fed.
.

Let us know if you're dead, lol

Exciting, huh? He laughed it too after I said it back, but it makes for a great pending diagnosis. I wonder if zombie is covered by my insurance company?

If I could just convince the family to quit eating we would have some extra money, until then, probably not.

There's always something, isn't there???
