We have the same problem sometimes with finding good coaches. most of the players here play club as well as town so having 8 is not possible with illness and conflicts. I have 12 on my roster and I think we have played with 10 most of the time. I agree the smaller rosters make it easy. Indoor season starts in couple of weeks. Looks like we have 11 for that which lets us have 2 full lines and goalie if everyone shows. Do you play a winter season? Here in the northeast, we move inside for the winters (hard to play in 25 degrees and snow).

Yes, she starts indoor in a couple weeks. I don't coach her in that and it will be nice for the time off. They practice once a week and play on Saturdays. She struggles a bit in indoor because the one area of her game she is lacking is speed. But, playing indoor helped her ball handling skills when she plays outdoor.

Not a lot you can do when you get in to PKs. To make it worse we controlled the game and hit 2 or 3 posts again. Oh well, it was a fun afternoon and a pretty food season overall.

Yeah, I hate to hear that. Overall, it was a fairly even posession game, although I might give them the advantage on that, with a few more shots.

Not that the other team probably didnt deserve the win, but that you girls did so well to finish with the high ranking second place finish.

Thats a whole lot to be very proud of.

Thanks.

My turn to do the proud poppa thing. Similar to Norms weekend silver medal story&
my son brought home some silver competitive hardware this weekend.

SC held its State Band Championships Saturday. This year our school got been moved up into a tougher class with some of the larger schools in the state, but still performed very well and pulled off a second place finish against some perennial favorites.
.

Congrats to him on the accomplishment. And, bravo to the proud dad.

Well done to the team! and I suppose the coach had a little to do with it as well so....

Thanks.

Had I known that keeping power through this storm would mean that DW would be spending the evening watching all her dvr'd shows, I would have gone outside and cut the power to the house at noon, and blamed it on Sandy... :headache:

I posted on the bragging wall. Thought I would mention it here. My DS started 7th grade this year at the middle school and took accelerated classes for each subject. His grades for the first trimester.....A+...A+...A...A...A-...A+. He really did an awesome job adjusting to the new school and worked hard onhis studies. really proud of him.

As you should be! :thumbsup2

Said the the Wife: Sounds like we should reward him. How about a trip to DW.
Wife: No, we agreed 2014 is when we would go next.
Me: But he did so well that I am sure he needs a relaxing vacation.
Wife: We don't relax in Disney.
Me: We can this time, I promise.
Wife: Can we bring my mom and dad? (MIL/FIL)
Me: OK, 2014 it is.

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: Hopefully, you'll still get the football game, although I'm not sure the Cardinals actually play offense.

So you are waiting out the hurricane As the World Turns at the General Hospital?

:headache: I would be sitting outside in the middle of the hurricane if she were into those shows. It's mostly prime time shows; Revenge is on now. The only saving grace is that the star of that show is easy on the eyes.:thumbsup2

Watched the previews. Yes, she is easy on the eyes, but couldn't make it thru the first opening cliffhanger of an episode. I feel your pain. It is ok to have more than 1 TV in your house. :happytv:

I figured that was coming. Not going to wait by the mailbox.

The way the wind is blowing here, I don't even know if my mailbox is still here! :lmao:

I read this to Jodi, Paul, and SHE wanted to know what your DW was watching! :rotfl2::rotfl::laughing:

You bring up a good point; The easy solution would be to go watch TV in another room. But, then I'd be conceding the TV room. I think it's important for me to keep as strong a grip on this room as possible. DW and the kids have taken over all the other rooms, even my office... ;)

I've conceded everything. We only have two TVs in our house, but as long as I can watch sports on one of them, then all is ok.

Well hold in to what you can and stay safe.

I feel your pain. Can't stand the show, but my DW loves it too. I just tune out and play on my phone or the laptop. Multi-tasking.

I need a nemesis. Anyone have season tickets to a team I would want to watch? Can reciprocate with Dolphins and Marlins tickets.

Hey CJ. I'll volunteer. I have Pats season tickets. It would be fun to have you come up/me come down to games. It really works with being a division rival as well, especially since we always win.:rotfl2: Sorry, thats what a nemie does.:thumbsup2

I don't know if the Marlins ever play the Sox, but if they do games on.

Guess who gets to watch this week's Colts game from a suite!!! :woohoo::banana::yay::woohoo:

Now don't get me wrong, I'm grateful, but a little more notice would be great. Our company gets a suite to a game every year and invites some employees and some brokers from other companies that we deal with. This is the third time I've been invited, but the first time I can actually go, because they never tell anyone about it more than a week in advance and if you already have plans that Sunday... :headache::sad2:

Is it catered?

I'm in Louisville the next few days. It is cold outside, but no rain.

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: Now we know what he retired to spend his time doing. :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

Youngest dd had all As for the first quarter and she got $20. Wow, a trip to WDW is great. I can't believe you let the inlaws deter you from a trip to WDW. You should have countered with "are they paying?".

Congrats to your daughter!

Any reason I can find, right? You don't know my inlaws!:rolleyes1 Believe me, I would end up paying for them as part of the deal.:headache:

Hey Gents!

Just in from work. Still on call until tomorrow morning...during my down time between cases I have tried to check in on Dads within the storms path...Dave is without power, Ron is without power but both are fine....Harbesons still had power last I heard and Doc was headed to work...Hope everyones is safe and dry!! The rain has been non stop here!!! I saw animals lined up two by two earlier this evening.....:confused3

Mine is still on as well. I'm stuck watching Dancing with the Stars. And now you know why I am here. We lost power a couple of times for about 5-10 minutes, but it seems to be OK now. It is certainly windy out there.

To all those in the direct path, stay safe!

Our CEO and his wife are season ticket holders and often even travel to away games. The suite is primarily an event to reach out to some corporate customers, but they always bring several employees within the company who interact on a daily basis with those customers.

From what I hear, our CEO's wife puts together a menu for a full meal before the game, snacks during the game and several bottles of wine as well as other beverage offerings. There are also swag bags with Colts gear for everyone. Pretty excited about finally being one of the privileged ones to get to go.

Kind of awkward though... One of DW's best friends works in my office and has been with the company 3 years longer than I have. DW was excited to go and asked if she was going to be there too and I had to explain that it it's just managers and merchandisers.
