my son brought home some silver competitive hardware this weekend...

I posted on the bragging wall. Thought I would mention it here. My DS started 7th grade this year at the middle school and took accelerated classes for each subject. His grades for the first trimester.....A+...A+...A...A...A-...A+. He really did an awesome job adjusting to the new school and worked hard onhis studies. really proud of him.

Did you chastise him for the A-? Good for him.

Landfall for the storm has been moved up to around 5pm, Ground 0 will be anywhere from Atlantic City to Toms River, so where am I Toms River is the next town over, I'm a little over 3miles inland, everyone who lives over the bridge on the barrier island (point pleasant, seaside etc) had to leave yesterday

All you can do is hope for the best, but I got a light at the end of the tunnel, will be in WDW Sun

Just talked to the Pirate Princess Pirate. She woke up around 1:00 today. Oh to be in college again. Right now about 40 mph winds and some rain. SH gave her vegetarian meals that included 2 Uncrustibles, cheese stuff sandwich things and bagels. Plus bottled water. She also bought her own water and energy bars/snacks. They are looking at this as an adventure and rolling with it. Plus they have glow sticks if the power goes out.

Said the the Wife: Sounds like we should reward him. How about a trip to DW.
Wife: No, we agreed 2014 is when we would go next.
Me: But he did so well that I am sure he needs a relaxing vacation.
Wife: We don't relax in Disney.
Me: We can this time, I promise.
Wife: Can we bring my mom and dad? (MIL/FIL)
Me: OK, 2014 it is.

There was some disappointment in our ranks as well. With three straight wins, second seemed somewhat lacking. I’ve had to give a couple of folks a bit more perspective on it. The truth is that there are 30 other schools in our class alone that didn’t get that far, and a couple hundred in all the classes that didn’t either. We have much to be proud of. In only six years of existence, our school has three firsts and three seconds; never any lower (as of yet). That’s a record to be very proud of.

Just talked to the Pirate Princess Pirate. She woke up around 1:00 today. Oh to be in college again. Right now about 40 mph winds and some rain. If you go to bed at 6 AM, getting up at 1 PM is reasonable.

Even though she is a vegetarian you need to send her this in her next care package. She can always use it to barter for wine...

Just rain in the eastern KY at lower elevations. Higher elevations along the VA border are starting to see some light snow.

Youngest dd had all As for the first quarter and she got $20. Wow, a trip to WDW is great. I can't believe you let the inlaws deter you from a trip to WDW. You should have countered with "are they paying?".
