DIS Dads DDC XXII - End of Summer Bash

Been a wild couple of days around here. Had a busy day at work yesterday and didn't get lunch until 4. I had to stick around after normal office hours and then go to Lafayette late last night with some corn samples for work. Got home at 11:30 and was woken up with a phone call an hour later to tell me they didn't pass and we have some train cars to unload Monday.

Also, need some prayers. Yesterday my boss's father passed away after a week in hospice, and my MiL's best friend lost her husband in a motorcycle wreck on his way home from work.

Not a great couple of days, but working on the farm this afternoon listening to the Boilermakers beat up on the Herd, so I'm definitely in a better mood now than I was this morning.

2) DD loves ToT
3) cars land is flipping awesome
4) there are far to many gopher fans here. I saw 3 and that's 3 too many.

I am about to head off to a 12 hour shift at work. (when you add in the commute, that's about a 15 hour day.)

Both my dds like TOT. DW hates TOT, and squeezed the hand rail so hard the last time that she bent her engagement ring band. She is not allowed to ride it anymore.

DW made me breakfast casserole. What is it?

5 eggs
16 oz. shredded cheese
1 pound sausage
2 cans crescent rolls.
Optional bacon (which really isn't optional).

Scramble eggs. (don't cook).
Fry sausage. Fry bacon. Need them hot when you go to next step.

Bottom layer roll out crescent dough as one big sheet. Cook in oven for 5 minutes at 375.

Add crumbled sausage & bacon, eggs, cheese, and then top layer is the other can of crescent rolls.

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

(if sausage isn't hot when you add the eggs, the eggs may not cook up enough)

And, just to make it even a little more unhealthy, serve with a jelly on top. I prefer strawberry.
