No, we should have off tomorrow to sleep in and recover.

I'm half tempted to talk trash since the Bears play the Colts...

not that I think the Colts will win, but if they lose they lose and it is just expected but if they win the Bears just suck.

at some point I'll go back and peruse the last few days of posts to see what's been going on.

Today is DD's first day of school!!

I'm sure i'm not the only dad here with an educational milestone this year, so congrats to all you guys and your kids. I hope they all have a successful and memorable school year!!

I also want to share that I've been sucked back into my family tree research after a long hiatus, and I've got the fever again!! A lot of new records available.

Yesterday, I discovered a cousin we never knew about!!

Congrats on all the milestones, dreading/looking forward to that day next year with my DD, I've always been a little curious to look up family tree stuff but knowing my luck I'll find out my great great great great great grandfather was like an ax murderer that no one in the family wanted ever brought up again

Me too! But now it's Wednesday so it really doesn't matter.

Sent my 7th grader to middle school for the first time today. Pouring rain from Isaac left overs. Asked, "don't you want a jacket or umbrella?". Was told that umbrellas are NOT cool and that it was too warm for a jacket. How about a swimsuit? Kids!

Happy labor day everyone, it's gloomy and raining here so prob the plan will be to take DD to the bouncy place and let her burn off some energy, I get to jump too so it's an added bonus

When it rains around here, we usually take the kids to "Monster Golf". It's an indoor mini golf with haunted house type decorations that are animated. Golf is neon and in the dark. Lot's of games. Not sure if you have anything liek that there.

We were just talking about the football game tonight. Someone asked what channel it is on and I said NBC. Someone else starts spouting profanities and says he's calling Dish Network... I'm sitting here wondering what's going on.

Apparently Dish and our local NBC affiliate have been in negotiations and we haven't had NBC on Dish since this weekend... so it ain't looking like I'll be watching football tonight.

And ever since the switch to digital TV, I haven't been able to get our local NBC station through my outdoor aerial antenna either.

You might be able to get a bill credit or free premium channels out of it. I know when DirecTV was having a squabble with Viacom a few months ago, a lot of people were calling to complain and getting their NFL Sunday Ticket Package for free.
