Goodnight, Norm!

I'm just getting this party started.

:
Aaron wins this round of stories. Can't imagine topping that!
.

That's nothing. Did I ever tell you about the time time I walked across the bonfire ....

Thanks Norm, I'm glad he didn't drunkenly mistake this forum as a sexting forum, that would be a bit awkward

Fortunately for us both, I wasn't that intoxicated.

California Grill is also amazing. THe Flying Fish has a Chefs Table too, but I haven't been too impressed with the Flying Fish.

Flying Fish stinks. Worst signature.

For those of you who don't see me on FB, this is DW's self-picture. Guess which one had more to drink?

A wonderful night at the bourbon bar at the miller house restaurant in Owensboro.

I was able to try three new KY bourbons tonite - Buffalo Trace, Makers Mark 46, and Basil Hayden. Of those three, Makers 46 was the best. We had a wonderful dinner. We had a cheese plate appetizer, and house salads and split a Pinot noir. DW had a filet and risotto for dinner while I had shrimp and grits. I had a amber bock with dinner (no draft beer). We had a Kahlua chocolate cake For dessert. After a 4 block walk to downtown and some time to sober up, it was time to walk back and drive home.

Alcohol induced anniversaries are the best.

Bourbon bar? Second greatest invention ever?! (after Bacon Bar)

Norm brought up a good point. If anyone wants to add me on Facebook search for Philip Holt the picture is of myself and DD in Nashville predators shirts

Just added you.

Or by the time reads this and comprehends.... Good Morning Norm!

Good thinking.

They said there were more than 100 bourbons. Many from KY. They had a New York bourbon that bartender said wasn't good (Hudson?) and a Japanese bourbon they can't call bourbon since not a US product, but it is over 50% corn mash.

There's a button now to add people. I didn't think I could add people before, but it appears I can now. Probably anyone can if I can.

I added you, Phil, pending administrative approval

YOU TOO?!? I think I might have been a little younger than 16. The only time I remember really seeing double! :lmao:

I don't remember if I was 15 or 16 so I thought I'd be kind for now.

My run in with Gin was definitely 14. We still don't talk.

Tequilla and I had an on again off again relationship for years, we finally split about 15 years ago due to irreconcilable differences.

Vodka and get together every once in a while when I have a craving for Ceasars and I've picked up a bottle of Clamato at the local store.

Irish whiskey and I also see each other occasionally and its usually a nice visit where we both say why don't we see each other more.

Ouzo and I don't speak the same language. Its all Greek to me.

Canadian Whiskey will always have a place in my memory, but just like High School there are times when we just can't go back home.

So that brings us to today. Beer, wine & scotch are in the regular rotation, depending on my mood and whether or not it is a business function or social.

So...was I the only one who waited till it was legal to drink? Honestly, I was in no rush. Seen too many stupid people.

My wife has had to strait up grab me and pull me away from someone doing that. They looked at me and they walked off not saying anything to me. Like it was my fault. I do good deeds everyday for people and believe in paying forward but why is it I get so many "A" holes outside of work??? LOL Sorry I felt a rant coming on.:offtopic:

I get a fair share of ***** customers....had a doozy of one back in July that I don;t want to talk about again. :headache: I already find that WDW has too many people who complain about things that are not worth complaining about. Reading restraunt reviews is a hoot. Unless I was REALLY wronged, I can't bring myself to complain...

And I have enough Tiki stuff that I don't need to take it from a hotel/resort.

It was a Costco in Maine.

;)
Funny...we were over shopping in Port Huron. Good thing we are stimulating the US economy again..:rotfl2:

Happy Anniversary! Got a bottle of Makers 46 earlier in the year. Very nice. Think I'm aiming for Woodford Reserve next. You've got me sold on it.

Friend Norm, now. He and I have over 30 friends in common, all Dis Dads. That list is a good place to start.

Obviously, yes, I had my first gin n tonic at 8 and my first beer at 10. My granddad worked at the distillery.

I think Woodford reserve is too peppery. I'll buy the makers 46 next time at the store after I drink the rest of my Woodford rerserve.

Makers 46 is great, still want to try basil hayden.

The eggs I had for breakfast looked like they were burnt for the amount of pepper I added. I can live with that ;)

We have the Buffalo Trace and the Basil Hayden at the store. The only other one Iwould bute on is the Eagle Rare 10yr old, I've read that it is nice stuff. Newest bourbon we've got is Elmer T Lee, but I'm not sure on age etc.

It ws good. Or, I was too drunk to tell. I thought Makers 46 was the best of the 3 I tried tonight. I may try Basil Hayden first the next time. Ther really is a KY bourbon named "Big A$$" out of Bardstown. Might have to try that one eventually.
