Just got a call from the mechanic. That "clanking" sound I was hearing from the sway bar link? The ones we just had replaced four months ago? Turns out it was just a loose lock nut. He actually apologized!

:thumbsup2

That's free money! Think I can get DW to let me move the money budgeted for the car repair into our fund for the next trip??

Sounds like a good idea to me! :thumbsup2

Nice! Def should funnel that $$ away for WDW!

To paraphrase, money found is twice as sweet as money earned.

I vote to earmark this money for Disney. Then again, I vote to earmark all my money for Disney.

I second this philosophy!

The twins started doing a karate match this afternoon. I've got no idea where they learned it from. They watched some Judo yesterday but this was kicks and elbows. DS caught DD across the jaw with an elbow. DD countered with a kick to the sternum. They were not super violent. They were WWE style hits, just barely making contact. :confused3
When they start going off the top rope like Jimmy "Super Fly" Snuka, you have a problem. Or maybe just a great photo op.

My kids are using an old exercise trampoline, a chair and my chin-up bar to do gymnastics routines. I'm expecting a call from the ER any minute.
Touchdown Curiosity.
Did they make the extra point?
Onto the Holiday Inn that night in Cinci, Mass at St. Veronica's, and then onto the baseball game. We were there right when the doors opened.

We were on the 3rd base side and only got the Pirates players. Still, a great photo op.

Better view. Yeungling Draft.

While the Reds, AJ Burnett pitched a great game for the Pirates and McCutchen hit a home run. The Pirates also hit the Reds really hard this game. It was an expensive day with $9 beers, hot dogs, pizza, peanuts, but it was fun. We drove thru Louisville, visited my parents for a couple hours, and then home last night around 10:00 PM.

Awesome looking meet. I've always liked Cincy. I've only spent a day there for a Jimmy Buffett show once but it seems like my kind of town.

You've seen all of the manuals NASA has laying around. Somewhere in those it's got to outline the situation on where to go for two.

I was torn between a football joke or something about Curiosity killing the cat. Couldn't find the words to make the latter work, though.

‘Afternoon all…

Back at work after a long weekend on the coast.
That’s not as depressing as returning after time at WDW…
but it’s not far off either.

Looks like a good time was had by all.
Glad y’all go to meet up and enjoy the day.

Yes, I'm better now.

You mean you’re healthier now.
“Better?”… not likely.

But I am glad to hear that you are mending.

Did they make the extra point?

:lmao: Nice.

Considering that even the folks working on the mission were referring to the entire landing process as:

"seven minutes of terror"…

I’m amazed that it worked.
But it also makes you just a little more proud to be from around here.

Yeah, but your forgetting that the head coach cut the training budget.:rotfl2:

:sad2: Irrefutable fact. :lmao:

So much for that “a little more proud” comment.
It just crashed back down to earth.

:rotfl2:

Afternoon Gents!

It's a holiday Monday here so no work!! DS and I spent the morning volunteering at the U17 and U15 National Girls Basketball Championship going on here this week. We are back at it tomorrow morning before taking in some of the some of the U18 Boys Fastpitch Nationals that is also going on here this week. No duties these except to network and shake a few hands.

We are all heading to the Dark Knight Rises in about an hour. Can't wait! :cool1:

Sounds like a great meet and trip. Fantastic seats. And where were my tickets?

Did they make the extra point?

Not exactly but when it landed the Flight Director yelled, "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAALLLLLLLLLL."

Considering that even the folks working on the mission were referring to the entire landing process as:

"seven minutes of terror"…

I’m amazed that it worked.

It was interesting watching it live. Someone would frown and I'm thinking it blew up or something. I got caught up in all of it and was as excited as they were when they confirmed it safely landed. Got to bed around 2 and was up at 7. Dragging a bit now.

Morning gentlemen. Green side of the sod, breakfast eaten, employed. Could be worse. Hoping to get the desk and computer files cleaned some this week. Weather permitting I may harvest some hops.

I used to grow hops but they started to take over the backyard and DW put her foot down and made me rip them things out. I still cry when I see a rogue tendril try to grow back (and two years later we still get them. If they weren't so tasty we would definitely classify hops as weeds).

If you want to put it too a vote, you have over 700 DisDads that would vote for it.

I like this style of thinking.

Actually, we just booked an unplanned/unexpected trip for December over the weekend so I don't think I will have to twist very hard to make this work.:thumbsup2 (DW really is a sucker for free dining).
