Hey guys messaging you from my bed. Very sick, serious bronchial infection, 100 fever, sweating, been to night doctor said if I am still like this by mornings need to go to ER. Not looking for pity guys just been absent from here and not posting a lot. I have been looking in every hour.

Prayers. Feel better soon.

Wow, first Andy, then Brian and now you Donald, I hope you guys all start feeling better quick! ]

These computer viruses are contagious.

Good morning everyone. We are having some severe t-storms here so I have been up monitoring the radar.

Keep it up there and away from GABP

I was telling the DD's some of the Disdads we are going to meet and showed them the video of you drinking Beverly. They wanted to make sure they did not have to participate in that challenge in order to meet you :rotfl2:

I'm not doing that challenge.

Nope, everyone had a great time, no kid meltdowns either, my bro's eldest daughter is severely autistic, and you can never predict what will happen, but she seemed to have fun, actually, she has been getting so much better at our little get togethers, adapting well to the stimulas. My SIL did an incredible job decorating and comming up with all sorts of ingenious Harry Potter things and games.

Glad family stuff went well. We also use our gas cook top as well.

Morning guys!

If there wasn't that difference there would be a problem.

Here is a picture for old times sake.

You Canadians sure are good at hockey. Speaking of, when was the last time one of your teams won the Stanley Cup? :confused3

Thanks my friend.

Is there any dads here in law enforcement? I need to ask them a question on an unrelated issue maybe a federal level. But that's all I am going to say here on open thread.

I do criminal law

I want to mock the Bruins. But I just can't.

Speaking of teams, when was the last time a team that won the Stanley Cup or just any team had more US born players than Canadian? Wasn't the Bruins made up of mostly Canadian players?

Holy smokes! Listen to your doctors and get better soon. Prayers.

It got mentioned for us too, but I doubt it'll be very severe, not in the same way you guys have to face. Keep safe.

Sure you can!

Ugggg. get better, and don't spread that around WDW.... ;)

The B's are a fun team. I'm not a big hockey fan, but the current team is enjoyable to watch.

You're right, the good Canadian Hockey players would rather play for US teams than teams in their own country. Wonder why? :confused3

Remember I while back you asked who FED was... well, now you'll find out.

PM him your question... :thumbsup2

Better money and less pressure. In particular Toronto and Montreal.

Wouldn't have anything to do with about 75% of the teams being based in the US would it?

I know Randall... I wouldn't feel so bad for you guys. One day if your guys work hard enough and train hard enough, they too will be as good as the Canadians!

See they way I see the numbers are on a per capita basis.

Total Medal Count": USA/CAN = 54/10 = USA has 540% more medals than Canada.

Total Population to pool athletes from: USA/CAN = 311,591,917/34,482,779 = USA has 904% more people than Canada.

So with our 10 medals - you should be at 90 to be on par with our superior athletes.

Unemployment Rate in Canada is 7.2%
Unemployment Rate in USA is 8.2%

Which means we have a great percentage of our smaller population working, instead of training to be Olympians.

I don't think that has ever happened.

Nowadays, the least Canadian make-up you'll realistically find is half Canadian and half other (US, Russian, Swedish, etc.). Just look at the NHL Entry Draft. More than half of the players drafted each year are Canadian. In 2011, more than half the NHL players were Canadian (53%) and less than a quarter were from the US.

Once you get out of the big hockey-producing areas in the US (New England and Minnesota/Wisconsin), hockey just is not as popular/available for young athletes in the US. In Canada, there are ice rinks everywhere, not to mention the longer/colder winters which allow pond skating. I live north of NYC and I'm lucky if a pond by me freezes for more than a day or two each year. For us to skate, we have to drive 15 minutes to a rink and pay for it.
