Reading back through the past few pages, I just want to say I appreciate the kind words and concern from everyone.

I can't imagine how rough of a year it's been for you. Praying it gets better.

Hi guys. Rough day, it was one of those where I almost said screw it, packed up the family, and go to central casting in Disney and beg for a job.

Well, SWMBO's Mother and I had workds again this evening when I got home. She did not like how I was handling a discipline problem. I had to remind her that I was the parent and she was not. Dear Lord help me make it two more weeks when the kids go back to school and we dont need her services anymore until next summer!!;)

Don't mean to 1 up you, but remember my mooching BIL? His dad (my FIL) booked his family a Disney trip this week with his credit card and gave him his truck and his credit card for gas and food. Last month, MIL took $16,000 from her bank account and paid off BIL's two vehicles as well as the extra fees to get them out of repo. This on top of all the past mooching. I can't wait for the next holiday when he tells everyone to vote republican because there are many lazy people mooching.

Sounds like yesterday was crappy all around. The good news is, yesterday is overwith! :cool1:

I seem to have those days quite often.....I wonder what I might be qualified to do at Disney??? Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day!!

Every once in a while I check their job postings. They don't ever seem to need a civil engineer. :sad1:

For all who responded to my work over the weekend - thanks for the comments :thumbsup2 It's always a good feeling to see what you hands are capable of accomplishing. And every time I do something like this I thank God that I do not have to do manual labor like that every day.

I looked at the work you did and thought, "Thank God there are people I can pay to do this stuff for me!" :rotfl2:

Ohhhh.... did ya hear, Disney's new off site policy?

Parks will not be available to any off site guests, but only in the month of June.

Good luck with that!

:thumbsup2 <------not thumb

Cool....never been in June...

Me either. Supposedly, the week we're going is one of the "slower" weeks in June.

Anything is better than when we're used to going. Spring Break with 9's and 10's on the crowd calendar!

Evening nemie. :wave2:

Where are the Illini going? the MAC?

Hey - watch what you're saying about the MAC!

Go ROCKETS!

I'll be there August 4th
Whereabouts? Renaissance Faire?

There can never be too many Chris/Christian/Christophers... just sayin'. :cool2:

Now there CAN be too many Andys, Nathans, Brians, Norms, ... you get the point.

Just wanted to clear that up.

But there is only one Barry. :thumbsup2

Good to see you around Stopher. Don't be a stranger!

Reading back through the past few pages, I just want to say I appreciate the kind words and concern from everyone. It is a trying year for farmers, and sometimes when you see people on the news, you really wonder if the public actually understands what is going on because the ones reporting the news really don't seem to have a clue. I should know by now to expect better than the general public from this group though.

:grouphug:
Thank you all,had a good night sat. Most of you would think My wife and I went out and had a nice quiet dinner for two. Well you are kinda right. We went out to diner, but took the whole family!!! yep the whole crew :grouphug: went out to eat.I figured heck they are part of our 22 yr marriage so why not let them go.They felt special being able to go with us and celebrate.
We usually do that too - bring the whole family out to celebrate. We don't celebrate the start of a marriage so much as the start of the family.

Of course, that being said, we're dumping the kids with grandma & grandpa for a few hours when we're in Disney World to go have a meal - just the two of us. We've never eaten in Morocco before and are going to give that a try.

I seem to have those days quite often.....I wonder what I might be qualified to do at Disney???
You know that person in the parades that follows the horses and pushes that little barrel on wheels with the shovel? That. :thumbsup2

Good Morning fellow Dads, My DM (I assume thats Disney Mom) and I have been talking to my DD4 about pin trading, so we ordered her this years Halloween Lanyard with a few pins and also got a lot of 25 pins so she could pick and choose which she wants to trade, we got them last night and went through them, theres a good mix of ones she wants to keep and trade, I also got a lanyard (Jack Skellington and some NBC pins) so all 25 are not on her lanyard but it cracks me up everytime she wore it last night cuz the lanyard is so big on her and all the pins she rivals Mr. T, shes excited which makes me happy

My kids are into pin trading too. Except they like all of their pins too much to want to trade any of them!

Thats great i have been working on my DS3 to get him to want to trade.

mourning al, I just got the news I dont have to go in to work tonight. i dont know what to do with myself.

In all seriousness. my DD's are eagerly counting down the HOURS! until they get to hang out with his DD's. I am just a glorified driver and wallet :confused3

I guess that makes sense... If I know anything about Norm, it's that he is looking for someone's wallet.

I'm guilty of this myself! :sad2:

Although - I did trade for a monorail red pin with a CM on our last trip.

And, I was run down by an 8 year old on my way into EPCOT last trip. Turns out, I had a blue puffle pin that he was needing to complete his set.

I told him to buzz off buddy! :lmao:

I traded with him for a pirate mickey pin.

He was ecstatic. I made his day and he made mine seeing the look on his face! :thumbsup2

We bought a lot of 25 from eBay and it looks like we will need to get one more, because we did get some no one wants to trade. I am looking forward to having the kids engage more with the CM's. I need no excuse since I envy them all :thumbsup2

Morning gentlemen.

I didn't mean to dis the MAC. It was the first conference I could think of.

I've got some good memories from Bristol Ren Faire. You even make it to the Minnesota Faire let me know.

Amazing what these kids do in the Olympics. Missy Franklin, a 17 YO kid was in a semi-finals race and then 10 minutes later has to swim in a final. In the Olympics. And she wins. Oh, she goes to high school in Aurora, Co. and is a welcome relief to that community.

George, only one thing to say to you. GO GATORS.

You are right Missy is a bright light for that community. She dedicated her swims last night to the victims.

George has been known to route for the Gators and has been seen occasionally Tebowing.

Nemie - I never said the Illini were awesome but the MAC? They have enough probs. I might make a trip to the Minnesota ren faire. When is it?

For our trip a couple of weeks ago, since it was a no-parks trip, I didn't bother buy any pins off of eBay in advance... we just took our lanyards with ones from the prior trips that we still wanted to trade, and came home with all new pins! Now the next time we go, we'll need to buy more from eBay - as - at least for now - no one has any pins that they're wanting to get rid of.

We have one of those zipper folders - the really big kind - to store our pins in. All 5 of us have our own section in the book, and it's FULL. After six years of trading, and so many trips - that thing weighs a ton. Not literally, of course, but seriously, it's up to nearly 10 pounds now with hundreds of pins in it. Thankfully most were purchased cheaply on eBay! And everyone has some really cool pins. It's a fun little past-time.

I think it starts next weekend and runs through the first weekend of October. Let me know if you plan on coming up.

SEC real conference ownage.

That's called pin collecting. That's what I do.

Hey, I ain't a mooch. I'm just willing to not work as hard as the next person. Actually, I do my job well and efficiently but am salary on a number of hours as opposed to performance. Just picked the wrong career and it's too late to change.

Excellent.

Tigers cheering for Gators. Ahhhhhhhhh! The Mayan prophesy may be true after all.

A very early good morning to all of you. May head down to the Keys this morning and spend the night just to hang out with a couple of friends. A couple invited me to dinner at their house so I thought why not? Cheap trip. Not going to go underwater though, even though diving conditions are good right now.

Hope everyone has a good Tuesday.

The hard life of CJ. Florida keys, diving, vacations. My hero.

Morning Guys!

Sitting here in the hotel room in Northern VA (again) trying to find a good reason not to go jogging. So far Im struggling but I'm sure that something will come to me.:lmao:

I never go jogging. I didn't know one needed an excuse.

Good Mr. T reference. Have her keep her and your favorites at home. Some pin traders are ruthless.

Morning CJ and everyone. I have to prepare Indy for a visit from Norm this weekend. We will see how much damage we can do at a Children's Museum :lmao:

I am sure we will behave properly around our children and wives :lmao:

I have to get clearance from customs for him to enter Indiana. He is considered an illegal otherwise :rotfl2:

In all seriousness. my DD's are eagerly counting down the HOURS! until they get to hang out with his DD's. I am just a glorified driver and wallet :confused3

Sure. Keep em coming.

Boo Blue Devils - I agree. I will cheer for the Crown, just a bit softer than I do for the colts. I'd send you Crown souvenirs but I hear your mailbox is like Norm's.

Well that explains much

You lead a rough life CJ.
Rough indeed.

Looks like another boring day for me in the lab working on a 100 slide or so power point. How will I ever contain my excitement.:faint:

Matt

You and CJ need to trade places for a couple of days

mourning al, I just got the news I dont have to go in to work tonight. i dont know what to do with myself.

Ehhhh…
You’re young… imaginative… still basically a newlywed…

You’ll think of something.
Enjoy the windfall

Ouch. You can't please everyone so you've got to please yourself.

I need to go to GABP one of these days...we have NEVER been to a Reds game!:scared1:

Almost 10 years in OH and we never made it either. Did get to Jungle Jim's, the Cincinnati Zoo and King's Island though.

I would be looking for a reason to not do the Powerpoint and jogging would be a good enough reason. So would a root canal or a vasectomy.

Morning... very jealous... when not travelling or diving, you are visiting friends, and partying.

All I do is work, and count days until I don't have to do that!
...

I quit counting when I realized I would be about 123 when I could afford to retire.

Been a reasonable day so far. DS has done a good job in getting his chores done without supervision for the last two days.

We checked the bees as well and may be able to get 2 honey entries for him to go with his country ham entry for 4-H at the state fair. Disappointing honey year though. Not enough for the bees to forage on with the drought and the swarm I hived lost the queen so they won't overwinter. We only pulled three frames and will leave the rest unless it looks like the goldenrod will do something this fall. I keep trying to tell DS that raising queen bees would be a good sideline for him to try out but he is just into the honey and hasn't learned yet that an income is necessary in life.
