Don't worry, NBC will be showing it "live" in the US as soon as it finishes.

Are you guys done talking about Crapintoshes yet?

On our way to the wife's family reunion. I'd rather be working this weekend.

Hey nemi, watch the apple-bashing. Have fun at the reunion though

It's a nemesisisis fight.

Good point, but luckily for me… my boy actually hates the idea of “parting”
Has no use for any of it.

Really…
.

Yeah, in High School, when I came home drunk Friday night and fell down the stairs, I told my dad that I had night blindness.

But not all opening ceremonies have James Bond!

Which one?

Daniel Craig, he picked up the Queen at the Palace and flew with her in a helicopter to the stadium.

I guess they could have dug all of them up for the ceremony. Did David Beckham get to do any part of it? He gave some classified answer when asked in MLS All Star game.

He was driving a boat up the Thames with the Olympic Flame earlier. They are just bringing in the Flag so the torch can't be far behind.

ETA: He brought it to the dock and then passed it off to the next guy, Steve Redgrave.

He gave it to 6 young athletes who represent the future.

Not a big fan of the Olympics, especially opening ceremony.

Norm, you are kidding right?

We’re back! Successful outing completed… perhaps too successful.
Now my son is torn between the school he thought was his first choice and this one.
He’s got a lot to think about now.

So where is he looking at going?

Good point, but luckily for me… my boy actually hates the idea of “parting”

Really…

Just like Catholic school kids don't party.

Just got back from a week in almost-Canada. Not gonna go back and read the 50 pages I missed but I happened to see CJ's post and felt compelled to make the joke I've been sitting on for months... Here goes...

I just figured she'd be taking "crash" courses! :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Thanks. Tip your waitress.

Well played sir. She told me she can't wait to race you in the half.

The actual lighting of the Olympic Cauldron was pretty cool.

Now on to Sir Paul.

Start of coverage for here. Looking forward to the next couple of weeks.

To paraphrase Sam the Eagle:

I salute all the athletes but mostly the Americans.

I like certain sports - basketball, soccer, but not a big fan of gymnastics or some of the others.

Well that's good news for me at least....

Paging Randall - Need a laughing Donald right about here...

So where is he looking at going?

Well since you asked directly…
At the moment he’s torn between Western Carolina and the University of South Carolina. He wants to study music performance / education and these two happen to have the best music schools in the two Carolina’s (and both he and his momma would rather he stayed in the area). They are radically different environments but he likes qualities in both. It may depend on how the separate auditions go and what kind of assistance we can come up with.

Just like Catholic school kids don't party.

Oh… they party. Especially at USC, but it’s Max that’s not all that interested in those shenanigans. He’s a bit of a wallflower. I expect he’ll change a good bit across the next five years, but he really has no use for any of the social games, finds alcohol to be undrinkable, and thinks anyone that would even consider “chemical enhancement” in any form to be utterly stupid.

May those sentiments not change too quickly…

Just put on a Hakeem Nicks jersey and nobody on the Packers will touch you.

Now, a semi-serious question.

Thoughts on the Hoop De Do Revue?? I've never been but doing a lot of reading on it. Lots of love-hate opinions.

I will be with a party of 10 (my family, sister-in-law and her hubby who have a 10 year old and a 3 year old, and in-laws celebrating 50th Anniversary).

Deciding on whether to go or not as I am finalizing our reservations.

Thanks.
We brought Juliana to HDDR when she was 3 and we had a blast. The food was good... I killed the ribs and I'm not a huge rib s fan (imagine that?) I had my share of beer and DW had her share of sangria. We were singing the songs for years after. I think we need to get back there to refresh our memory. :rotfl:

The show is corny but that is what it is supposed to be. :groom:

Well they were a pleasant folk. A bit odd but I attributed that to the proximity to Minnesota

:rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:

Wait a minute...... Did I just agree with a flatlander....

Converting anything to a ring tone on the Iphones are a nightmare of converting, converting, and converting. If you can find an easier way, please let me know. I tried to do that on my Iphone 4s and finally gave it up. I figured it was probably easier to get a house financed.

have you tried Myxer.com?

Sorry Jason, saw that a few months ago.

Why am I not surprised by that....

Sorry... watched it, didn't comment....

Thought it was very funny...

Ahh you weren't the only one.

Okay. So let me get this right, there's no quota limits on Canadians nor Wisconsinians in this club?

Thanks Tim.

I figured you'd get a kick out of the Nicks reference.
