I'm glad you're one of the people who consider meeting Fed to be good news. I wonder how many people have had their day ruined by meeting him over the years.

He thought my minivan was a "pretty sweet ride".

stay and play, most likely around Louisville

We did a long weekend in Louisville two years ago. Louisville Slugger factory tour & museum, really nice water play area down by the river, Louisville Bats Baseball game and Lynn's Paradise Cafe is a must.

Ok. I'll post pics but today ranks pretty high on the awesome factor:
1) work didn't suck
2) DD had her first karate class
3) my Disneyland book came from amazon
4) my Disney store package arrived
5) DD got to race live ducks and won twice (against other ducks, not her)
6) we both got to play with snakes and DD was a champ
7) I ate a fried Twinkie
8) I have a disdads meet on Saturday

Thanks for letting me cheer. I don't get non vacation days like this often!! And I know you all have totally awesome kids too.

I'm guessing that they saved up all of their snack credits, then blew them yesterday at Goofy's Candy Shop or the Main Street Bakery. No doubt that Fed was able sniff out all of the contraband without even opening the doors.

It might be a local name for the variation on funnel cakes where instead of a stream of batter, they fry it up by the large ladle full and the result looks more like an oversized beignet. Down here they call ‘em “Elephant Ears”

Maybe the dust has finally settled and we can return to our version of normal.

Normal is not a phrase I would use with this group.

I've had that issue too. What I do is make a Mickey behavior chart. When DD has ten good stickers in a row, we send it to Mickey for his okay. He sends a Disney dollar to use on vacation. When we have two or more sad stickers in a row, we send it to Donald and he gives us a task to do to tell Mickey about. That usually gets DD back on track.

Nice idea. Wonder if it would work with SWMBO?

Peanut Butter Beverly kind of night tonight. Right bear the end, got into it with a customer over being carded. Will spare you all the details, but it got really bad, and I think I am in for a rough next three days.....

Sorry it was a bad night. I haven't been asked for an ID in many years. Back in my day the age was 18 and wasn't even carded much then.

I'm 2 hours away, not that that would provide an incentive. I might be able to meet you. Louisville Slugger Museum, chocolate restaurant, and a little further drive to distillaries. Or, you can just take your kids to downtown water area for extra hydogen in their water. That's where I met up with Mark.

I will let you know if it develops, I think we will for sure be planing something next year. Cant stay away from the distilleries for long.
