First full day back, and didn't accomplish much. went to the grocery store and got enough to get by for the day. Also went to Target for a pet urine spray because DD had an accident in her carseat while we were on I-95. ugh.

The washing machine keeps stopping now. It will agitate for a while, but it stops before getting to the rinse cycle. Beverly!

and I put DW's brand new DVC mug in the dishwasher with everything else. Apparently it was a hand-wash only item. OOPS! She says it is ruined. Now I have to get her a new one.

would love to sleep in for a while tomorrow, but got to take DS to the doctor for shots. should be fun!

goodnight all!

Welcome back! I really enjoyed the pics on FB :thumbsup2

Morning Guys!

Had my first travel mug of coffee already :surfweb: and waiting on the pot here at coffee to brew. Not alot going on here, trying to invent things to do for a while. Got a long meeting this morning, then might run to Newport News for a little while.

Considering asking my boss to transfer to another program. I've been working on this program for 5 yrs, and with subs for 20. Just starting to get bored with working on the same things over and over. :confused3

Anyway Happy Humpday!

Matt

Good morning and Happy Humpday :cool1:

Morning Matt!

Getting ready to leave for the State Fair in a couple of hours. We washed the kids FFA/4-H country hams but I don't have great hopes this year. Out of 10 hams our county is sending I only saw 2 that looked fair worthy. Hopefully they can do well on the speech part of the competition at least. Not much in the way of ag products either. Looks like the fair will be heavy on baked goods, sewing projects, and woodworking projects.

...

YOu sent your malcontent rain cloud to my house. Took car to mechanic to replace starter. While AAA is at house to tow, DW drops her phone into storm drain. Of all places outside - the storm drain. Got it in rice. Then, oldest dd is taunting youngest dd outside by stealing her bike. Youngest dd tries to run down listen and goes hands and knees and first on street. She is bloody. I go to help her and roll my ankle off the curb. It swelled up like there was an extra fist on the outside of my ankle. Elevated, ice, and ibuprofen and pain.

I need a giant reset button.

Sorry about that. Anyone that gets near Joe Btfsplk knows to beware.

Feeling a bit off for the last couple of days. Nausea, muscle cramps. Happens once in a while mostly because of the meds. Nausea is gone but if it comes back, or the cramps don't go away, it's a trip to the Doctor for some blood work.

Wow... your story sounds very much like my own journey... except I'm about 5 years ahead of you and smoke free! I started when I was 17 and smoked until DD got old enough to start noticing... about 4 years old. I'd attempted to quit may times before... tried the patch, gum, even medicine... nothing worked until one day I really set my mind to the fact that I did not WANT to smoke any more. Sure, I went through withdrawals, but once I mentally told myself I wasn't a smoker anymore I found it much easier. Prayers helped me too. Good luck fighting the good fight! It's worth it in the end :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement. its def tough but i know i can conquer it. Im also trying to think of the disney trip as a reward for quitting so thats helping

Wow...quite the welcome-back from vaycay....:scared1:

:scared1: There is a theme going on here...quite the rash of bad luck....I'm going to hide. I've had enough misfortune over the past few years.

My DW has a similar problem about every 28 days or so. :rotfl2::rotfl2: Just saying.

Seriously, I hope you are feeling better.

PTL! :worship:

My ankle feels great. Thanks Chris for the consult as well. After rolling my ankle, it swelled to 4 times it's normal size on the outside of the ankle. Elevated, ice, ibuprofen. After 1 & 1/2 hours, I still could not put any weight on it and hopped to bed in terrible pain.

Not much sleep last night. The night stand was my triage unit. Wrapped with ice, more ibuprofen. Most importantly, I said a prayer for healing.

Today, I am able to walk without assistance. Still some minor swelling and pain, so I will go to Dr this AM for some steroids than may assist in the healing. I am a big believer in the power of prayer. I won't go any further than that here because I don't want to break any DIS rules.

He's younger than we are.

:rotfl2:

I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was. (at least in my own mind)

Haven't been to the state fair in years. We probably should take the dds, but now the fair starts after school begins. :confused3

I did that one trip. Now, I won't buy any collectible glass if I can't put in dishwasher, because if I can't wash it, then I'll never use it.

And brazilian tour groups or middle school cheerleaders (Unless you are Norm)

Once again, you are not familiar with the educational system in KY.

I'm sure in your future, plutonium is available at every corner drugstore. But in 1955, it's a little hard to come by

What a great practical joke. Find someone that looks like you. Put on a white wig and give them a sports almanac and tell them to buy a safe. Now, if I could only get the settings right on the flux capacitor.

Need some help guys. DW dropped her smartphone in the water. It was powered off and it is sitting in rice to absorb the moisture. Any recommendations?
Yeah. Don't drop your phone in water. :rolleyes1

its alittle grossier then that, some friends and I somehow got some kodiac wintergreen on the way to go see mars attacks, I had never dipped before, they kept telling me about the buzz i would get so i put some dip in and alittle bit i started getting a buzz, some point i swallowed alittle and started feeling sick, in the middle of the movie I got sick all over the back of a couple in front of us (they didnt notice) until the guy reached over to put his arm around the girl and the rest tells it self, they were not happy at all and I was sick for about a day

Good luck with the effort to quit smoking! :thumbsup2

I have a colleague who dropped hers in a port-a-potty once. Some volunteers fished it out for her and put it in a baggy with some rice. Surprisingly it did start working again but she couldn't being herself to use it.
I wouldn't use it again either. I wouldn't even touch it. :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

I've changed my rules over the years of things I will not allow, but 2 rules have stayed firm

1 - No foreign vehicles allowed in the driveway
&
2- No Veggie Burgers of any shape or form allowed on the grille
Great rules! :thumbsup2

Does that car come with joe Pesci or ray liotta?
:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

I still think he needs some gold spinners on it. Make that Caddy 90's gangsta.

Wow. Welcome home, but I'm sorry you're knee deep in peanut butter right now.

Is the nausea due to the meds or is it a result of seeing the Seton Hall bill? :confused3

I used to be all-american vehicles but now it's hard to find anything that is made in the USA anyway. I have already had to replace a window regulator and "fix" the parking shift solenoid... and I've only had the car for a week! :headache:

Does that car come with joe Pesci or ray liotta?

:rotfl2::rotfl2: No... but it does have OnStar.....

You could take the money you'd normally spend on the smokes and put it into buying gift cards or something. Buy yourself some good souvenirs!

Morning Follks...

Hey, guess what's up for this weekend...

:dance3: :dancer: party: :yay: :dance3: :dancer: party: :yay::dance3: :dancer: party: :yay:

You're going line dancing?? :lmao::lmao:
