Dry fits are great. I am taking a couple with me for the Sept. trip :thumbsup2

Too bad you can't get October free dining. What about an Indy visit first weekend in August?

Picked up on that one did ya’?
The general opinion ‘round here is that there is no professional basketball in this part of the country.

A while back this area heartily supported a mediocre to bad team by offering up the leagues best attendance record for better then a decade. George Shinn then made it his personal mission to screw-over, alienate and embitter the entire area so thoroughly that I doubt even a good team will evoke much of a following.

But, you get to watch the good teams when they visit to play. I'm not sure I would do season tickets unless they were cheaper, but I would want to see them play the Heat, Bulls, etc.

Bacardi here, coke and lime! We even with to the factory when we were in Puerto Rico.

Do you prefer clear or gold:confused3

I drank the clear. Is the gold that much better?

:thumbsup2, just looked at the link, they are owned by same company as King Dominion, did you do Dinosaurs Alive, if it's anything like the one in VA you got to see it, they look so real::yes::

Before they rolled out to the cedar fair parks, they were at the Toronto Zoo.

We went to see them there. Was quite impressed. But did not see them again at wonderland. Wasn't going to pay the $20 again for the family.

Billionaires arguing with millionaires and nearly all of them a stunning failure as a role model. A pox on all their houses. I’d have to be given the tickets and then I probably wouldn’t go. There’s no entertainment value in watching a “good” team walk all over a “poor” team. One is taking a break and the other is simply being abused.

Like I said, we’re just a might bitter. :rolleyes2

Oh, I think it's way passed bitter.

I'm sorry, did you say something? :lmao:

No. DW asked me to post something so she could navigate over to the Dis families thread because her view on the kindle was messed up. Or, so she said.

Ahhh… you’re picking up on the subtle implications invested of the phrase “a might” as it’s used down here in the “Deep” South.

:lmao: :rotfl2:

Kinda like the phrase "bless (their) heart". You say that, and it's all fair game. Bless her heart, she uses the smoke alarm as a kitchen timer.

he's just fashionably late...

Never understood that one either.

Precisely.
Although generally a proper Southern Bell (say like my DW) is more likely to us that particular turn of phrase (and at times within ear shot of the designated target).

In your example it would probably be phrased as:

“She’s been known to use the smoke alarm as a kitchen timer… bless her heart.”

And the pause in the middle of the sentence is just as important. In any case, having your heart blessed down this way is the last thing you’d want.

Sounds frustratingly good to me (being as there is no way my overlords will allow me to travel that early in January). Y’all make sure to take and post copious amounts of pictures during this outing. The rest of us will be able to look at them and feel even worse… errr… I mean take part in spirit at least.

;)
