Well, despite the recent success, the previous 100+ years for the Phillies was full of abject misery and failure. So I think it's safe to say there's no bandwagon in Philly sports.

Last full day at Aulani. Pretty sad. At least we have a few days at Disneyland coming up. The vacation has flown by. Crash has a day at the spa. I don't know what I am going to do other than take some pictures. Maybe lounge by the pool bar. Life sucks.

I feel for you there CJ. Should we initiate the DisDad Extraction Team before you get suicidal?

Ok, for the iPhone/iPad and Android users out there...

I got an e-mail from Disney promoting a new app earlier this week. And because I'm a sucker for things promoted by Disney, I checked it out and spent 99 cents to buy the app. It was "Where's my Perry?"

Cool game, but basically the same exact thing as "Where's my Water?" if you've ever played that. There's a free version of that one out there if you aren't familiar with it and just want to check it out. I think it is worth the money to get the Perry one though, just because you get to hear Perry's theme music, Doofenschmirtz and Major Monogram while you're sitting around killing time at work. Lots of fun.

Got that for my IPad. My kids have not stopped playing it.

Back at the beginning of March, I set a goal to lose 40lbs by the time we went on vacation. that gave me about 21 weeks to do it. Here I am, 18 weeks into it, and I've reached that goal.

anything else in the next 3 weeks is gravy, and the best part is that I know that even if I gain some of it back, I'm capable of losing it again.

But, when we get to the Falls, I'll see if can convince DW to make the trip. I've thought about opening my own restaurant, but that whole effort thing then hits. I applaud you and all those who own their own business. A lot of work.

I can put a side menu together, love it!!
The biggest about running your own restaurant is that it is the biggest time suck ever. I have come to the conclusion that if im going to work hard I'm going to play harder!!

You just may get a surprise DISDad meet in the near future...

Uxbridge is the trail capital of Canada. You can hike the trails and if you geocache there are some decent caches around town and on the trails.

Congratulations, I lost a pile of weight a few years ago and unfortunately some has crept back on. Got to get back on track, you may have just inspired me to get my butt in gear.

Have to brag a little. The Pirate Princess got her scores for her International Baccalaureate finals. AND SHE PASSED. Not only did she get her HS diploma, but she added the IB diploma. She has worried about for the last few weeks. A lot of that stress just vanished.

Off to the hardware store to buy chains and locks for the doors. They are going to have to blast me out of here.

Next planned trip is January. Seems a long way off. But then again, my UK friend is coming down early August to go to the Keys, then we have the road trip to drop her off at college and I probably will go to the Bahamas in October to swim with sharks. OK, I'll shut up now.

That's a ton of work and a huge accomplishment.

Thanks. She already knows two kids that did not get enough points to get their diploma. It was a ton of work (12 years worth) and I am happy for her.

Another early Friday evening for me I believe. I have to meet a grower in middle of nowhere tomorrow morning. The good thing is there are only a few roads that cross the state line in that part of the state so I shouldn't be able to get lost as long as I stay on pavement.

Cooler weather on the way for early next week but the drought situation doesn't show much sign of easing.
