Ahhhhh….

I miss-read that and was thinking June 31 (which doesn’t exist, so I fouled that one up trice :headache: ).

Apparently Wendy’s does consider Poutine to be a celebratory offering. Tell ya’ what… you send me the airfare and I’ll head up that way Sunday and try some of the stuff.

I will send you some tickets from SouthWest.

Aren't those fiddleheads:confused3

Yes they are.

Gonna Watch Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol...

Haven't heard many good things about it, but not much out there for rental now... and rental places are becoming more few and far between.

We saw that at an Imax, thought it was pretty cool there.

What do they taste like, never had one, only thing I really know about them is they are in season for like 2 weeks a year:confused3

They are a lot like many other greens. We usually steam them but you can boil them as well. Serve them with some butter and maybe some vinegar. They are excellent with salmon.

We can get them for about 3 weeks maybe 4 a year.

I'm going to have to try them one of these days:confused3, don't they turn into some kind of bush:confused3

They are actually from the fern family. You find them in damp area like along streams and riverbanks in the spring. Once they open up they are no good.

If they are made by Dole I probably got them, also carry the Variety pack & the Tropical pack:thumbsup2

I tried to make some homemade pineapple vanilla ice cream in the Ice cream machine. It turned out ok, but not as good s th dole whip swirl..

So, has anyone else tried the DisBoards App for iPad? I am posting these messages right now on it. I'm not sure I like it though.

And I figured out how to multi quote from it. The posting ability and speed is better than posting thru safari, but I like the appearance on safari better.

Well, the posts look better thru safari. Plus, I get the emoticons and my signature here which I don't get to see on the App

Evening folks..

Back from seeing Brave, very nice. Girls loved it, Audrey was pretty good throughout, for her anyways. Not a lot of true Disney fans in the crowd though, only we stayed till the end to see the post-credit scene. :lmao:

Work was crazy busy for a long weekend, two shifts to go. Moved a LOT of beer today.

So you are portable now... :rotfl2:

The trail will be blazed with flying bits and bytes...

I'll be the kettle. You be the pot.

Do you have it on your iPhone? I tried it but just don't care for the appearance. Probably just because I am used to it thru IE or Safari. I've always been portable. How else would I have all these posts?

Yahoo! Happy Friday everyone! Overnight trip for a golf outing tomorrow with my brother and a couple of our buddies. Then a strange, chopped up work week for the holiday (which I hope will fly by). This time next Friday I'll be looking for an excuse to leave early so I can start my vacation!

Andy, were you lucky enough to get any of the storms that popped up last night? We got some hail up here.

Nope... I'm in Kentucky today and tomorrow for Nascar races. Talked to dw this afternoon and we got wind that took down limbs and removed some siding, but no precip.

Had the same front move through here too. We lost a pop up canopy that took off when the wind hit. Retrieved it and fixed it with duck tape. I saw others in worse shape, including an RV with the awning flipped on it's roof.

Congrats on the solo trip.:thumbsup2 I'd almost take you up on the room offer, but I've already got one for a couple of those days.:rolleyes1

Good luck on the job front. At least you have something lined up in the meantime in case you can't find something you want.
thanks Andy and when you going ?

Currently 107. Heat index 109. Dang Al Gore for inventing Global Warming.

wow... that's pretty hot.

Yeah, it's pretty kewl. Our house is in a great spot - basically, when the Blue Angels do their high-speed aerobatics, they wind up a couple of miles away from the airport by the time they are getting turned around and lined up for the next pass. Or, as we call it "Look up, 'cause there they go again!"

We have a small airfield a couple of miles from our house. We seem to be right in line with one of the approaches, and get to see a lot of small planes fly right over. Memorial Day weekend is usually pretty cool because of the airshows at the beach, and we get to see the planes going there and coming back.

no balloons though. (though one time we did get a blimp)

Another Friday ownage.

Today was a great day. We all slept in late. Paid all the end of the month bills with some left over, which means I can buy new tires next month that were greatly needed. Then, I was able to download some songs from D-Cot, moved them to my iPad and Windows Phone, which can now means I can play them anywhere, especially without wifi or 3G. Took the dds to lunch at Logan's Roadhouse and I got the Roadies - three sliders with their yeast rolls instead of the bun. Yum! My oldest got chicken nuggets and oldest loves their ribs. I topped it off with 22 oz Sam Adams draft. We came home and played Disney Trivial Pursuit game. I started drinking some wine. My goal is to drink my way thru the heat wave. Keep cool everyone.

That does sound like a great day. I wish you luck reaching your goal.

I told DW that the dds and I would move to WDW, she could keep working and mail us money, and we could come and visit her in KY a few times a year. She didn't like that plan.

why not? :confused3

For the next week I have orders that ice cream & ice are priorities, So I'm the Ice Cream Man (got to get my Van Halen 1 album out) also I will hear the phrase the Ice Man Comeith, a million times this week

what? no vanilla ice? Ice Ice Baby (too cold... too cold) Vanilla Ice Ice Baby...
