another weekend in the books. disappointing baseball games the last two nights. oh well.

weekend was good. quiet night at work saturday, but came home to find DW and college friend had emptied 2 large bottles of wine and were watching New Kids on the Block DVD. :scared1:

today was softball in the morning, followed by a little light grocery shopping, some family time in the pool, and then our 4th family theme night! Tonight was "Lady and the Tramp". We ate spaghetti and meatballs and enjoyed some spumoni for dessert while watching the movie. I'll have to post the pics of all our theme nights thus far. We've also done Lilo and Stitch, A Bug's Life, and Princess and the Frog. Next up is Toy Story 2.

Joined a FE group for our upcoming cruise. Now trying to come up with ideas for gifts to give. Think it's time to go shopping at the other site. I have to get my t-shirt anyway. On that topic, I think a visor or hat would be pretty cool. Then I could easily wear it the majority of the trip, instead of just a couple of days. just thinking out loud...

Good morning guys.

Got a busted lip during softball yesterday. Some people don't know to warm up away from people :confused3

Anyway, they can't stitch it because it is inside the upper lip. There is a hole you can see when I pulled it back so that was kinda cool.

I am traveling with my boss today to see some customers. This is going o be weird. I can't talk normally because my lip is swollen, and it still bleeds a little.

Oh well, thanks for letting me vent. Have a great one guys :thumbsup2

Morning guys!

Sitting in the hotel room in Kingsland GA, listening to it rain. Something about a tropical storm or some crazy thing like that. Have to go and sit in on some training today and then (hopefully) fly out tomorrow mid morning.

Still a little sore from my surgery last week, still got a decent amount of bruising. Hopefully this to shall pass!

Matt

Morning everyone...

Got the deck pressure washed and only took it down about 1/4". :lmao: My plan is to get it thin enough in a few years so it falls apart so I can rip it off without SWMBO complaining. I don't need 900+ sq ft of deck to maintain for the few times I get to use it and SWMBO has issues about being outside so she will never use it. Washed the back of the house and pressure washed the sidewalk, mowed the lawn, did 8 loads of laundry and plumbed in a utility sink. Good thing I have a job to go to so I can rest up.

:scared1:That is one busy weekend

Ouch... good luck with that lip in front of customers. Maybe it's best to let your boss do most of the talking. ;)

New Kids, women, & wine. I thought about the fish extender, but my cruise is really far away. I was thinking about practical jokes like throwing a softball at ....

Short attention span's... ;)
I'll bet if they get a letter from FreezinRafiki about how they're going to see me this summer, they'd be bouncing off the walls with complete indifference. :thumbsup2

weighed in yesterday at 202 lbs!! Just 2 more to lose to reach my goal of 200lbs!! May do it this week!! That will be a full month ahead of schedule.
Nice Job!

hey everyone ...Im home!!!:wave2: Did you miss me? We had a fantastic 7 day cruise on Fantasy and just got home this evening. I see you guys have blown through nearly 40 pages already!@!!!! Let me tell you...everything you have heard about how great the Fantasy is true and then some!!!! We need to do a DisDads cruise!!!
Welcome home Steve!

Thursday is my younger dd's birthday. She turns 8. Since she has 4 softball games next week, we are celebrating now. Today, DW took her and friend to Holiday World and then there is sleepover tonite. Ahhhhhh! Two giggly 8 year olds. Thankfully, I stocked up on alcohol yesterday. My mission today was to get birthday cookie cake. As it is softball season, I think this will suffice.

I would have complained to the bakery that I ordered a softball cookie- this is clearly a baseball cookie. See if you could fanagle some kind of discount on it. :thumbsup2

12 pounds in 3 weeks! :thumbsup2

You are really rocking the family theme nights. One of those things that we always have the best intentions of doing but it never comes together.

:lmao: I'd almost forgotten about that show. I think that originally started as part of Bill Cosby's Ed.D. program or maybe I have it confused with his segments on Captain Kangaroo.

Morning guys. :coffee: Gotta get through this week, then headed up to the lake on Friday for a week of vaca... :cool1:

Hi, Paul! Saw Brave today. Decent, but not my favorite Pixar movie. Moms will love it.

Hey Chris! DD has been begging me to take her to see Brave. She is 4, and not a huge fan of scary stuff, but loves most of the disney pixar stuff Do you think she'd enjoy it?

not sure what the refund policy is on rooms, but my brother had to drop out of our big family cruise coming up because he lost his job (none of us could afford to pay his way, otherwise we would have), and as long as he canceled by the 75 day before cruise mark (when balance is due), he got 100% refund. After that, it is prorated, less and less as you get closer to the cruise.

75 day window makes sense. I think disney vacations has the same policy, though room only you can cancel up to a day or so before. Thanks for the info! :thumbsup2

Cruise was fantastic...Shari tried to keep a journal so I will try to look at her notes and see what I can come up with..the last time I did a trip report I was not very good at updating and it was hijacked by pirates! :rotfl2:
Really? Your TR was highjacked? I couldn't ever imagine that happening to a Disdad. :rolleyes1

Welcome home.

Ok, if you get a busted lip because you put your body in front of a grounder and it took a bad hop, that's something. But getting hurt during warm ups???? :rolleyes1

Just kidding, that isn't fun. I hope it heals quickly.

Ouch... good luck with that lip in front of customers. Maybe it's best to let your boss do most of the talking. ;)
Yeah, what he said.:thumbsup2

Sorry you have to endure that torture Don.

Sun glasses on the T-shirt... is that DISDad protocol?

:lmao: I guess it is now!

Don't forget cargo pants! :cool1: :rotfl2:
:lmao:

I learned something today that I don't want to repeat, so I know you guy's will remind me next year if I ponder the idea:confused3

Father's Day is not a good garage sale day, I got up at 5am, set up the yard, hung all the signs and was open by 7am:thumbsup2, cooked Bacon on the grille and popped open my 1st cold one by 8am:rolleyes1, by 1pm I made a big $7 for the day so far that's right $7:scared1::lmao:I did get a lot of yard work done, but for my great idea of getting a few extra $$$ for VA this week, let's just say that I drank more than I made today:drinking1

Ouch... hard lesson learned there. Thanks for taking one for the team! :rotfl2:

Happy Monday, guys! Been a very busy and fun week around here. Meeting Scott and Mike definitely being one of the highlights! :thumbsup2
We found Myrtle Beach to be a great place to stay and relax but also have plenty of others things to pass the time. Even found an improv comedy show that is kid friendly! Emma LOVED the show and has asked if we can find one around here. Still looking into that. If you find yourself in Myrtle Beach and want a good nighttime laugh, check this out:

Carolina Improv

Didn't get to meet up with Ron or Rob in Williamsburg this past week. :confused3 One day, Ron. Some day. :lmao: Sorry to hear the lottery ticket didn't pay out this time. I guess I really am good for nothing now! :rotfl2:

Have a shortened work week and will be traveling to Ohio at the end of the week. Have another opportunity to meet with Scott while we are at Cedar Point on the 2nd and 3rd of July. :thumbsup2 Anyone else in the Sandusky area at that time?

OK... back to work for a little while. Still getting caught up. :surfweb:

Don -

I have to work both Tuesday and Wednesday next week until 6 or so. So we'll have to meet up in the evening.

Which day are you doing Soak City?? If I remember correctly you did the 2 day ticket with Park one day and water park the second day.

DW and the girls will most likely be at Soak City both days, maybe you guys could get together while I'm stuck at work! :thumbsup2
