Heh...when I got to work this morning we found out that yesterday the whole place went to Beverly. To the point the boss called in HIS boss in to discuss the matter. Let's just say, a little Karma was dealt.:rotfl2: NOt sure what the fallout will be, but isn';t going to get me! :woohoo: Spent the morning fixing things, tomorrow is a big load of stock, all for me to tear down. Lots of angry people I get to show up. Best early present EVER!:lmao:

May want to think of an Annual Pass if you are going to make 2 trips this year. Then maybe you can sneak in the convention, and take another 2013 trip before the year is up, and get full value out of it.

I would just book a package deal onsite for a Nov trip since I already have the tickets for the Aug trip at the great price of pretty much nothing, love those gift auctions, no way I 'm going to be able to get off to pull the convention, but we will be taking at least 1 WDW trip in 2013, so I guess I'll have to check the numbers:confused3

Thanks guys on the comments on the pics. I enjoyed living in NY and haven't visited the big city in a while. Will post some more later.

Got back from the game a bit ago. The Marlins stunk up the place. Down 3-0 after two innings and didn't get a hit until the 7th inning. The ballpark itself is nice. Definitely has a "Miami" feel to it. Took forever to get a couple of dogs and a beer. One line I was in ran out of beer just before I got there. Oh the horror. Took mass transit and it was easy to get there. You guys need to get down here and catch a game.

Barry - No tailgating at the new ballpark and I can't afford beer and dogs for 4 hours before the game.

Paul - You are a wimp. Big deal 26.2 miles. I could do that (driving, not running)

Brian - Glad the neck is feeling better. Enjoy Passover.

Will post some pics from the game after I download them.

At my son's karate class today my wife kinda shocked me:confused3 I was talking Disney with one of the parents there since they are going to WDW during the summer and they asked how many times a year we go, I said once a year,, my wife said well maybe this year it will be twice:confused3, so I said really, she said maybe the 1st week in Nov, I'm on vacation and she only works 2 days that week she was going to see if she could get off, I told her she has a month to decide since I don't want to miss the 180 ADR window:rolleyes1

So we will see what happens, I'm in no position to say no to another WDW trip:thumbsup2

Trip without 180 ADR window :thumbsup2
Trip with 180 ADR window :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Wednesday night vacation ownage.

Dragnet on the radio, hot chocolate, sharpened pencils and the 1040 form. I refuse to leave until it is completed.

Maybe you can count the basketball team as dependents and get an extra refund?

I told her she has a month to decide since I don't want to miss the 180 ADR window:rolleyes1

Don't give her that long. Call and book it right now.

I asked for my ticket at the gate and they said they couldn't find it.

HI STEVE!
its been slow on the other side also. i was even answering my own questions today and carrying on conversations with myself.:

Talking to yourself again. At least you are always right.

I am seeing a light at the end of the tunnel for this neck pain. The pain killers, and anti inflammatory meds seem to be working.

I know most of you have Easter and Good Friday, we have Passover starting this Friday. We have a bunch of people coming over for dinner for the first night. On Passover it is customary to have 2 big dinners to start off the 8 days. So we've been doing cleaning, and cooking to get ready.

Glad to hear you are feeling better. Best holiday wishes to you and to all.

May as well start to take after my Nemesis...

137 Days!!!

Ahhh, who am I kidding, way to early for the countdown.

Never to early. We planned Spring Break 2013 in the car ride home.

This forum is getting s l o w e r and sssllllooowwweeerrrr :snail:every day. Sheesh. Glad the other forum is all peppy!:lmao:

Morning, dads! :cool2:

I keep forgetting to check out the other forum.

A few days later, we were in Times Square and walked by the Disney Store

Sorry about the Beverly, but happy it wasn't you. Maybe some bargaining power for a future raise. :woohoo:

Morning guys!

Ok, need some coffee myself, but I'm showered and up and moving. Going in a little early today, try to make up some time from the last few days where the wife has been sick. Its gonna be a long day, with a very boring phone conference meeting this afternoon. Wish me luck!

Hope the teleconference has ended.

Morning guys :surfweb:

I hope all dads in Texas made it safely through the storms yesterday :thumbsup2

I hope all are well. Followed the weather here.

DW was concerned about gaining a bunch of pregnancy weight during our last trip. We ate a lot of less than healthy food and she had a Dr. appointment the day after we got home. She was concerned about how much weight she was going to gain since her last appointment and afraid the Dr. wasn't going to be happy with her. She weighed in 2 pounds less than her last appointment. I kept trying to tell her she'd walk all that food off, but she didn't believe me.

I'm still carrying pregnancy weight from first child 10 years ago.

I got that email, its for $15 off the marathon or half marathon entry. I don't think there were any room discounts included, but could be wrong...

I'm planning on running the full marathon (due in large part to the promise of a new 20th anniversary medal), anyone else in? :confused3

I'm sure that's it. I saw the title and three price discount and figured I would read it later. I knew I wouldn't be running but wanted to get the word out.

Great pictures and updates Norm!! I have always wondered what the DVC resort and beach area looked like as we passed it!!! I wish I could recall where we ate breakfast on the way out of town. It was on tripadvisor..that is how I found it. You trip has made me want to get back there before August!!! Safe travels home!!!

It is off the main path, so to speak, so you really have to know where to find it. We had a great time and definitely plan to return.

Looks like some great memories to draw upon when the man has got you down. How many more years until retirement?

10 more years before I'm eligible for parole, er umm, retirement. I'll have to stick around 4 more years after that for my dds to get that tuition benefit unless they decide to attend Seaton Hall. :confused3

Have a safe trip back Norm.

Norm- Awesome pics again. Sorry it's home time, drive safe!.

Have a safe trip back..

thanks for sharing the pics. Get home safe!

Great pics Norm. Nice way to end the vacation. Safe travels.

Made it home. Thanks again for the well wishes everyone.

Final Pic Live Trip Report.

We are all home. I couldn't sleep tonight so I thought I would post these last pics from today before we left.

Our room. I would have preferred a room with a view of the marsh, but this was still nice.

Picked up one of these. I hope they are the same for Fall Break.

temporary-52.jpg

Our final act was breakfast. The Mickey waffles are full size here - warm, soft, and served with whipped butter and syrup.

temporary-53.jpg

One last walk out the pier and a shot of the marsh. What a beautiful day.

We left around 11:00 AM today. With young dds, you know it's stops for bathroom breaks. But, we managed to get to Atlanta by 3:45 PM. And, wouldn't you know, praise the Lord, no traffic. Almost on the other side of Atlanta, an RV must have just run out of gas, battery, or blown a tire and looked like it was trying to pull off the road and didnt make it. It blocked the right two lanes, but that was only a few minute delay. I did not stop for pics. Then, we hit Nashville around 7:00 PM (CT - no, Barry did not send the jet rocket for the minivan) so we again escaped traffic. We made it home at 9:00 PM.

This truly was another special vacation. We had perfect weather the entire time, with only a t-storm one time that closed the beach, but it was around 2:30 PM when we had planned to leave anyway. It was in the high 70s or low 80s the rest of the time. Thank you for letting me share my vacation with you. I still have 2 more vacation days this week, but will be washing clothes and the van tomorrow, and then Friday, who knows. Maybe a trip over to the zoo. We'll see. Maybe I can go and fall asleep now. Good night.

Federal taxes done. State taxes tomorrow. :scared: Oh well, at least I am employed so I earn money to pay taxes on.

Tomorrow is DD and my dad's BDay. I will get her up in about 6 hours and she will call him and say "Happy Birthday to us Poppy!"

I don't think ADRs are the problems they used to be

NO raises, other then 3 % a year, all in the contract.

Lets just hope the outcome is not - Brent you are not allowed to have a day off EVER:scared1:

Me and boss cannot have same day off anymore I think

Glad you are safely back in the Bluegrass though I wish you were settling it at Golden Oak instead. Less than two decades at least!

Thanks for sharing the TR and the pictures. If I can't be there at least I get to experience a bit of the magic vicariously.

Mine may go to Seton Hall because you didn't adopt her. If she does you may or may not want to mention her name when the girls apply. I'll let you know.

Looks like it was a great trip and thanks for the live TR. Glad you made it home safely. More for the family than you.

First of all, this rocks!! where can I get this?? Secondly, it beats the pants off my snack posting:

ce55d6f5.jpg

They had a selection of candies at several of the gift shop at WDW.
...and you can use a snack credit![/QUOTE]

Where can I find this snack stand?:confused3

I know we have been banned from buying the DIS Dad's T-Shirt but I WILL be wearing the one I bought before the ban in two months!:thumbsup2

Morning Guys!!

Meeting went well yesterday afternoon, but ran long. Nothing like a long meeting when you have already been at work for 10 hrs. I left in a hurry to get home and cut the grass before the monsoons hit, only to find out that DW did it when she got home that day. :woohoo: Now another fine day of paperwork!

Matt
