Thanks Carl and hope you have a good week as well. Thankfully I am on the road soon to the hidden parts of eastern KY and will be in "dead zones" so I don't have to deal with continuing drama.

It will either completely fall apart today or will be a truce rather like the DMZ in Korea. The more educated people are the more difficult they are to deal with.

Man, just when I think things are bad where I am....hopefully it'll all sort out. At least if there is fireworks, you'll not have to be there for it. Although there is something unsettling about "hidden parts of eastern KY" . Within two months, I should be seeing our store "blown up" (transfers) now that the new boss sees where things stand, and that the distruct manager is back in action fully from surgery he had a few months ago.

Well, I have 5 days till we leave and guess who starts feeling a cold coming on?

Yep, I started feeling it yesterday. Took some night time cold stuff last night and slept like a baby. Unfortunately, this morning I'm having a hard time keeping my eyes open. Feeling lethargic and just blah.

So I'm hoping and praying I get over whatever I've got before Saturday morning!

And since I know you're all "counting on me" - I'm gonna try real hard.


Sweet - Feeling like crap ownage!

Ugh, well, better now then right after you get there. I've gotten a bad cold near the tail end of a trip before, what a miserable experience. Get a lot of vitamin C going too. (Incidently, a Dole Pineapple Float uses pineapple juice, which is a source of vitamin C). Take two a day, as needed.

Had to read the post twice to figure out how many days left. Don't leave THIS Canadian in suspense...

Something else, I'm not sure about how others react, but I find I feel worse the day after taking cold medication. I am very reluctant to take it unless I am A) really really that bad or B) know I have a day afterwards to rest and not do anything to make my head spin.

Same here. I usually feel like I'm in a fog the next morning. It's good for getting to sleep though.

I usually take a ton of vitamin c when I first feel a cold coming on. They have those drops that taste decent. Seems to help.

We did! Had a great time, and pulled off the surprise as well. So she had a happy birthday. Only problem was that it didn't last more than 2 days and I had to go back to work.

We also got our new (to us) minivan last week. So that's taken care of as well. Hopefully life is starting to return to normal.

Morning Guys!

On a sad note, I have to report that once again, it is Monday.

Had a long weekend, long as in bad, not long as in multiple days off. Youngest DD had the stomach bug Friday and Saturday, and was doing the technicolor yawn until the wee hours of Saturday. Wife had to work a few hours on Sunday, so it made for a rather uninspiring weekend.

I feel the same way. I refuse to take the "daytime" cold medication. It always makes me loopy. Or if you ask my nemesis, loopier.
