I think you were at WDW last time:confused3, I was thinking May or June, this way everyone has time to plan, one thing Randall & I liked was the picnic area, it could be the 1st Dis Dads picnic:woohoo:

Sounds like a plan! June 1st to the 10th we will be in Disney.

Just got the kiddos down.

:scared1: I think they said this year they accepted 4500 students.. It was chaos but she will be commuting back and forth. No move in/out day and no meal plan. 10 minutes on the broad street subway. I am just glad I have a really good kid. With her scores and commuting its going to be relatively cheap for her to go to temple.

anyway you can save money on school these days!

Morning Guys!

On a sad note, I have to report that once again, it is Monday. :sad2:

Had a long weekend, long as in bad, not long as in multiple days off. Youngest DD had the stomach bug Friday and Saturday, and was doing the technicolor yawn until the wee hours of Saturday. Wife had to work a few hours on Sunday, so it made for a rather uninspiring weekend.

Matt

sorry to hear. hope DD is feeling better.

Has anyone read (or Written) any good trip reports lately? I'm in need of some happy reading, after reading the depressing novel that is Game of Thrones.

Feel free to post a link or two of any TR where nothing bad happened.

um... avoid my TR then. :rotfl2:

Well, I have 5 days till we leave and guess who starts feeling a cold coming on?

Yep, I started feeling it yesterday. Took some night time cold stuff last night and slept like a baby. Unfortunately, this morning I'm having a hard time keeping my eyes open. Feeling lethargic and just blah.

So I'm hoping and praying I get over whatever I've got before Saturday morning!

And since I know you're all "counting on me" - I'm gonna try real hard. :thumbsup2

Sweet - Feeling like crap ownage!

plenty of time to feel like crap before you have to suck it up and be happy!! Feel better by Saturday... or else!

Something else, I'm not sure about how others react, but I find I feel worse the day after taking cold medication. I am very reluctant to take it unless I am A) really really that bad or B) know I have a day afterwards to rest and not do anything to make my head spin.

I avoid cold medicines if I can. I usually just overload my system with vitamin C and if that doesn't work, I try to run it out of my system by being extra active even if I want to be in bed.

Tonight's going to be a late one. Year-End Inventory counts. Should be...interesting :scared::headache::rotfl2: Let's see how many $$thousands I can write off tonight!

have fun? :confused3

Yesterday we drove out to Ennis, Texas (about an hour and a half drive from us) to try to get some pictures of the kids in the bluebonnets fields around that town. Man, I have never seen so many bluebonnets in one place before! Check these out:

:wave2;

speaking of frozen planet. now thats its spring, its starting to get cold around here. we have frost warnings and its heading to the mid 20s.:sad2:
good thing i put all my winter stuff away.

that's why I don't pack things away. I just move them to the back of the closet! :rotfl2:

Back in the office after a day on the road. Man, I wish I was hourly. No signs of blood on the floor so I don't know what to make of the situation. No emails, Skype, phone messages, nada. I am going to assume it is positive and see what tomorrow brings.

good luck!

no before and after?? random thought. Would they let you hand out cups of beverly to runners during marathon weekend??

Baby Update:

There is nothing new to report. As of Friday, DW was dilated to 4cm. A few random contractions on Saturday, but nothing since. We did a lot of walking this weekend, but to no avail. Ryder is still firmly entrenched and does not appear to be letting go anytime soon. Another doctor appointment on Wednesday, so we'll see if there is any progress.

Good Luck!! Keep us posted!! (words are fine)

A whopper of a Monday. I get to work and boss calls and offers me a position as a COA reviewer. We are hosting the nation wide training, and while it wouldn't mean more money, it would be a resume builder and paid travel to locations in the US. Then, I am driving this week to Bowling Green, a 150 mile commute. So, while I escaped the building move madness, I had to work to get in the new application stuff. Then, it's home late, workout, print DVC documents for BWV, go to fantasy baseball draft. I get to start tomorrow at 6:00 AM, get a cashier's check for DVC, and still pack to leave Thursday night for Hilton Head. My head is spinning. All caught up and time for bed.

The highlight of the day was getting to be on the WKU college campus with the temp in the 70s and watching the girl students walk, I mean, study across campus.

congrats on the opportunity!! have fun in HH! too cold in nyc for many of the girls to be walking around.

Sounds like a great first day! Thanks for the update!! Wish I was there right now!!! July can't come soon enough!! Oh wait... too much to pay for, July is coming too fast!!! :rotfl2:

Evening guys...finally home, counts are done for the most part, just some double checking for the morning guys to finish. Just under $10000 short, which sadly isn;t too bad what with the theft that goes on and other things that happen (unreported breakages, recieval errors etc). Everyone worked hard, and I got a lot of laughs as usual with my jokes.

If you ned to dispose of anything, let me know. ;)

Only some stale-dated beer, I don;t think you want that.

I feel the same way. I refuse to take the "daytime" cold medication. It always makes me loopy. Or if you ask my nemesis, loopier. :sad2:

The worst for me is nighttime stuff. Nyquil makes me all light=headed for days afterwards.

Back in the office after a day on the road. Man, I wish I was hourly. No signs of blood on the floor so I don't know what to make of the situation. No emails, Skype, phone messages, nada. I am going to assume it is positive and see what tomorrow brings.

Video or it didn't happen... :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Just make sure you get inside before the banjos start playing. There are parts of Eastern Ky that are beautiful.

I agree, I've been to Kentucky before, late April, just don't recall any "hidden" parts. Any hidden parts of any place scare me (Yet make for for awesome road trips)

Okay, I'm jealous... :thumbsup2

all caught up.

operating on only a few hours sleep. Got out of work last night and then fell asleep on the train. I woke up right as the doors were opening up for my stop... perfect timing! but as I got up my phone fell and the cover and battery fell off and by the time i gathered up the three pieces, i missed the stop! :rotfl2: ugh. long walk back from the next station.

hung out with the kids and did grocery shopping. loaded up on frozen foods now that we have the new (to us) freezer cleaned out and running in the garage.

DD and I took out a couple of bushes from the front yard in the afternoon. Slowly but surely getting around to landscaping it how we'd like it to be.

work was good. My producer's new boss was up from DC. She kept introducing him to people by simply saying his name, and he felt compelled each time to add "i'm her boss." I thought it was hysterical. Who was he trying to convince??

Missed out on partaking in the live baseball draft, but team could be worse for an autopick.

As I was leaving work, I used a sharpie for something and then put it in my pants pocket... without the cap!! didn't notice til I was on the train about half an hour later. Those pants might be ruined! :scared1:

time for some zzzz's.

must feel good to be done with that! good job!! take the rest of the night off!

no before and after?? random thought. Would they let you hand out cups of beverly to runners during marathon weekend??

Reminds me of an episode of a variety tv show over here called 1 Night, 2 Days. Four of the members run a marathon (not sure offhand if it's a full one or not) that has a few stations. Each station had something different. At one of them, they had a bunch of water bottles. Some were filled with water, but others were filled with soy sauce or fish sauce. I'm sure the reaction would be similar to Beverly. Here's a clip (I'm at work, so I didn't have a chance to watch all of it, but the marathon part of the episode starts, I believe around 3:10 or so):

Yes, it has English subtitles for most of it.

Got a chance to watch it. Definitely not a full marathon, probably just a 5k, but quite amusing. Unfortunately, the video cuts out a couple minutes before the segment ends.

Morning Men!!

Its now Tuesday, hopefully it will be better than Monday. Still have to go work though. :sad2:

Matt

MIKE!!! tammy and i were just talking about you guys last night. we ate at the colonial.i hope things are getting better for you guys. your in our prayers. :thumbsup2

Wow! I haven't been to the Colonial in years!
DW had a very tough day on Sunday; she probably overdid it Saturday. However, she had a "great" day yesterday ("great" being relative). Maybe things will finally start turning around for her. I'm being very cautiously optimistic as this has happened before.

The 2012 airshow season is in full swing! If anyone is planning to attend a show to see the Blue Angels, let me know. David has about 1/2 of the shows this year, mostly midwest and east coast.

So, I made another appt. for the wife's car to get worked on yesterday, after waiting weeks and weeks for the dealer to call and say that the part is in. They never called, I just got fed up waiting for a part that cost me 115$. So I called and setup the appt. It was for 4 in the afternoon today, and I told the wife to just head on down there and I would leave work and pick up the kids. Well, swmbo has to go shopping today for Easter stuff. Really? So, we end having to trade cars, and now I would have to run down and get the car worked on.
This morning, I get to work, and find out that I have a meeting this afternoon and it goes with an 18 slide ppt and an excel. Looks like I will be cancelling the appt this afternoon.

DOH!!:headache:

Sweet! I'd say you did quite well considering the crowds and just an afternoon!

Enjoy Doc! :thumbsup2

...The worst for me is nighttime stuff. Nyquil makes me all light=headed for days afterwards....

Me too Brent. So I opted to avoid the nighttime stuff last night. I still slept like a rock and I feel less groggy this morning than I did yesterday.

Hopefully when I wake up tomorrow, I'll be a little more alert.

And Oh yeah....

4 Days!

Video or it didn't happen... :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:
You've got a very odd fetish....

Good luck on Wednesday! Will be praying for Bambi. Come on out Ryder!

Let's not see pics. :scared1:
Seriously, prayers for the baby and the family.
Thanks Guys!

um... avoid my TR then. :rotfl2:
I don't know if I'd call that a "trouble". More of a minor inconvenience :rotfl2:

Good Luck!! Keep us posted!! (words are fine)
Thanks!

How long is your train ride? I know some of the people around Chicago that take the Metra in can be on it for close to 2 hours.
