HA! I have no idea who is going to win this thing. I think it is soooo wide open this year. I actually hope it is a mid-major. That would be awesome!
I know... there are a lot of really good teams, but not really 1 or 2 that are just great. Should be a fun tournament.

One thing I noticed in my blind picks was that I have South Florida in the Sweet 16. I kind of thought they might make some noise, but I never would have picked them to beat Temple and Michigan without that blind bracket. Who knows? :confused3

So yesterday I go into work and have to fix ANOTHER problem the manager and/or assistant made in regards to orders placed. Last week, they placed an order for the wrong week, and if things got messed up too much, they would cancel the load, which is a BAD thing. Monday morning I worked with logistics and got it all straightened up, no probs. I go in on Wednesday and find out the assistant placed an order for Friday which is not a delivery day, so another problem that I had to fix yesterday. Fortunately it was an easy fix, but word got round to one of the district managers who came around to see what the problems were.
It was funny trying to see a couple of the clueless people all hover around trying to act like it was all easy to do/fix when they were not even involved. I had come off of lunch and went into the office where they were having the little meeting (which they tried to keep me unaware of). When Eric the boss saw me, he waved me over, confirmed what I had fixed and gave me the thumbs up, told me to keep them in line.

He pulled me aside soon afterwards, and commented that the other DM said it was too bad I wasn't around those mornings, I'd have had it adressed sooner, if not caught it outright as it happened, and made me feel like a million bucks, commenting "trust me, we know what you do around here, it's noted" which is the first real compliment from the higher-ups I've recieved. Really made my day, and a huge confidence boost, which can only lead to better things. :thumbsup2

I don't have time to dig through the pictures to find the right ones to quote, so I'll just say this:

Stopher: that panoramic shot is awesome. :goodvibes

Thheaton: Those safari pics of your little girl are just about the cutest thing ever.

::yes::Taking tomorrow off. Golf early and brats and basketball the rest of the day for our annual guys weekend.

That sounds just plain heavenly. Can't waste weather like this!

As far as March Madness goes, I always enjoy entering my brackets without being able to name a single player on any team. This is when I start paying attention to college basketball.

Good Morning everyone....

We are currently sitting at DW's work while she takes care of a few important matters before we head off to the Science Center for the kids to blow off some steam:lmao: This is the only part of the day the girls know about. After that it's off to the Spagetti Factory for dinner, then the big surprise for the girls. They have no idea DW won tickets to the Disney on Ice show a couple of months ago, so this should be fun. :thumbsup2 They are not the greatest seats, so I'm not sure what kind of princess pics I can score, but we'll see. Still, shoudl make for a memorable day.

Wonder if the thread will still be around when we get home tonight..:confused3:rotfl2:

Sounds like an awesome day... Have Fun Brent.

Is it me or does it seem like all the Canadians are doing anything but watching BB today? :confused3 :lmao::lmao::lmao: :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I can't speak for ALL Canadian's... but March Madness is not as big here as it is in the US.

Although there are plenty o' people who do follow it closely here, I am not one.

Do I have to hand in my man card...? Or can I keep the CDN man card, and just lose privileges to apply for a US Man card?

Brent sounds like you need to have a secret private meeting with the "higher ups".

With your track record, longevity, and loyalty to the LCBO you should DEFINITELY be at VERY least assistant manager by now, and realistically Store Manager.

The DW has most of her things packed and most of the DD's. I won't take long to pack mine.

Still have to make our T-shirts up! We printed our iron-on's this past weekend. Just need to find the time when my DD's aren't around to get them ironed on! :thumbsup2

Nice. Sounds like if you're patient, good things will come your way.

I love coming to work on tournament days. We have pools and everything here in the office, and there's a 42" HD TV hanging on the wall just over my left shoulder. I have to turn my chair away from my desk to watch, but it's a good day at work. People coming in to BS and watch basketball on TV. Basically a paid day of slacking. :thumbsup2

Doesn't your whole state close down this time of year? Since I work at home, not much productivity is planned for the next couple of weeks.

I will say Goodmorning for those who are going to have a good one but for me it is a 50/50 day on the happy side wife is working and i get the computer and house to myself again all morning :cool1: but on the flip side my vacation has come to an end and i have to go to work tonight :sad2: and hoping to post some pictures from my trip today :3dglasses

It is always sad that a vacation ends. Pictures would be cool.

I checked out your link. I picked UCONN losing in the first game and Kansas winning it all. :lmao::lmao:

Did not pick UConn to go far this year. Still hurting over the Florida loss to Butler last year. Cost me the Dis Dad Tournament title to some other guy who picked UConn to win it all.

::yes::Taking tomorrow off. Golf early and brats and basketball the rest of the day for our annual guys weekend.

Sounds fun. Can you fit me in?

Always nice to be recognized for your worth. Great job.

And we know how you hate to travel and take vacations! Congrats to her and good searches. My only advice - don't overpay. The fancy degree from a certain school may get you the interview, but it's still character, appearance, and who you know that get you the job.

Agreed. Trouble is I think she wants to go to school in NY. Her intended major is Psychology and there are a lot of research opportunities there. If she stayed In-State, it would be paid for. The two other schools are kicking in $20,000 to get her to go there. So, not paying retail. Luckily, we can afford it. It also gives me an excuse to visit NY.

my bracket is beyond belief and hope.

You haven't seen mine.

I have a case of ipadittis. Supposed to arrive today.

I want one. Going to get a 3 when the price drops or I can get a refurb.

Careful. I may cut you.

At least I wan't piling on Casanova.

Tip off starting soon. Can't wait.

... well, almost noon! Taking a morning at home since I have a busy weekend ahead of me. Just got the last Disney Visa bill ... :confused3 ... we bought that many souvenirs!?!?! Now, I have to pay off that bill so I can get ready for my January '13 trip with my DS and DDil and 3 grandsons! Isaac (5) :darth: Aiden (3) :ewok: and Eli (1) :yoda: This will be my first trip with my grandsons and my first trip with my son in over a decade. Wish I didn't have to wait until July/August to book the trip!

Just noticed how close we are close to the 250 page mark. When will the rush toward closing this thread begin? I go away for a day or two and find 15 pages when I get back. So, I'm trying not to blink this time. Oh, wait, I have to be gone Friday/Saturday for an overnight meeting at a retreat center where there is (gasp) NO INTERNET!!! :badpc: (Yes, those places still exist!) So, just in case this is my last post ... I'll see y'all (I can say that, I live in Alabama) in the next thread!
