That sounds awesome! Too bad North Carolina is juuuuuust a bit outside my travel area.

Yeah, me too.

I was thinking the same thing. We could do our own here in the Midwest though... You know, but without that running, biking and swimming crap. :lmao::rotfl2:

Well, it looks like we have a team here for the midwest running.... without the actual running (per Andy).

Maybe combine the events into the following:

Breakfast at the Machine Shed in Rockford

a quick "Lightspeed Minivan" trip to Chicago

Al's (or Portillo's) Beef Sammich (yes, I said sammich) for lunch

a quick "Lightspeed Minivan" trip to Indianapolis

Dinner at St. Elmo's Fire (just because I'm a product of the 80s)

Waddaya Say?

Diet must change!! no more Pepsi and Reese's!!

:scared1::scared1::scared1:

In all seriousness, it could be done if you workout and diet. I took a lot of weight off last year using meal replacement shakes and fruit for 2 meals a day. It is hard to make yourself do it, but once you get into that routine it isn't bad at all. I'd get Lean Shake powder from GNC and drink a shake for breakfast and then drink a shake at lunch with some fruit. I only did this on weekdays, and really I did it to save money at lunch and get out of the house quicker in the morning as much as anything, but it really helped me shed some weight quickly. I'd eat a normal dinner and eat what I normally ate on the weekends, but I did do a good job of cutting out those extra snacks and junk food. If you can do something like this and workout regularly, I think you can have some success.

Now if I could just get myself back into the mode of practicing what I preach.:rolleyes1

The getting together and eating part sounds great!

We need to make that happen.

Hey guys,

Congrats on the noteworthy achievement of closing down a thread in one day! Wish I could have joined in on the fun, but I was busy contemplating suicide by Powerpoint in an all-day seminar.

Don't have time to check the boards lately. I have a construction project that's kind of blowing up on me right now. If you think of it, keep praying for me and my family. When it rains, it pours.

From what I've read 1-2 lbs per week is a safe rate. You're also less likely to keep the weight off that way.

Are you saying this correctly Barry? Don't you mean more likely to keep the weight off that way, or perhaps less likely to put the weight back on that way?

Scratch St. Elmo's. If you want a steak, go to the Beef House at Covington, IN.

You have had a lot to deal with on your plate lately. Even without asking your family has been in my prayers Mark. And will continue to be. Take care of yourself and that lovely family. We'll still be here when time frees up a bit for you. :grouphug:

An all day seminar on your bonus day????:scared1: Wow, February really was a brutal month for you.

Good luck, we'll keep you in our prayers... praying for a better March.:thumbsup2

Good morning all! Well, good mid-morning! Hate I couldn't be more involved in the festivities yesterday. I know you guys had fun.

I talked to my son in central Kentucky yesterday. His family spent part of the morning hiding in the bathroom while a thunder storm/tornado blew past. It went south of the town and they had no damage but I know the mid-west got hit pretty hard. Did any of our group have damage? Everybody okay?

That sounds great, but there is a disturbing lack of deep fried cheese involved. :sad2:

Good to see you back, Mark, if only briefly. And I'm guessing the construction project "blowing up" isn't in the literal, pyrotechnic kind of way.

Serves me right for taking a phone call in the middle of a post and not paying attention. :sad2:

Thursday morning ownage.

So, DW and I talked about the October trip. The new plan is to try to get Beach Club for the week, or if not the week, the first 2 nights. Since that is F&W festival, I said that was highly unlikely. So, I need to check my dates, but in 2 weeks, I'll be at the 7 month mark and will see what happens.

Good luck, hope you get it. Really wish we could go in Oct again, just can't see it happening any time soon.

Still praying. I keep monitoring here and FB for updates, for things to get better. Hang in there. :goodvibes

Sure thing! Hang in there, it can't rain forever.

Hang in there Mark! It is getting tougher and tougher to keep up with 3 sites to check, nevermind all the stuff going on at home and work. Praying for Julie's mom still!

Glad to hear about your son! Scary stuff from the news this am.

Doing the single digit dance OWNAGE.

I highly recommend a quick trip to Disney with your wife the weekend after a family trip. Really helping with withdrawal symptoms...

I think I'll take your advice. :thumbsup2

On a related note, any chance you wouldn't mind watching a 4 and 1 year old for a weekend in October??? :confused3

;)

Fortunately, none of my kids have facebook accounts! :rotfl2:

Our plans:

Dinner tomorrow night at Bistro de Paris.
Saturday morning Segway Around the World Tour
Saturday night dinner at Victoria and Albert's.
Sunday, DW leaves.

Then, I'm going to the MK to play Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom (by myself), maybe have a Dole Whip, and get some dinner. Go back to the room to "watch" Amazing Race with the Oblivious Family, DW and whoever else is on-line. Then back to the MK for a 2am EMH.

Monday, breakfast at the Poly (Kona Cafe). Then, off to my conference. Dinner with big wigs (off-property).

Tuesday, back to my conference to give my presentation. Potentially a park and home that night.

I will post pics/updates on FB!
