Mornin fellas! :surfweb:

My Valentine did not want candy or flowers. She wanted and got this:

She's really into the Jim Shore Disney stuff. She really loved these bookends.

So, what did everybody else get for their significant other?

Looks nice!!! We have a few of those pieces but not many...

I bought mine some new beads for her Pandora bracelet

OH yeah one more thing about 45's...if you played them backwards you could hear hidden messages from the devil. :lmao:

Really? The bands I listened to back then put them right out in the open when you played them forward.

You can get that now by reading between the lines of a lot of DisDad posts.

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2: It's funny cause it's true

OK, what CD's are on your desk right now?

I have 8, all Disney....any surprises?

Disney Wishes
Magic Kingdom Event Party Music
Nemo Ocean Favorites
Celebrating 100 years
Beauty and the Beast Soundtrack
Mickey's Splashdance
Rock Around the Mouse
Celebrating 50 years of Disney Music

OK, I stole a couple of those from the kids but hey, it keeps me focused on the important stuff at work! :rotfl2:

The laptop is on the couch, all our CDs are in books, and the music also stored digitally. We heavily play the Magic Kingdom Event Party Music, Celebrating 100 years, and 50 years /Disney Masgic, as well as Four Parks, One World, and of course, anything by The Beatles. :thumbsup2

And we liked it...WE LOVED IT!!!

Hated Pong, loved my old Atari 2600 though!

True.

Remember 45's...I used to love the Flipside songs...some of those were better than the song you were buying. :lmao:

I remember them well, my brother and I used to have an old record player in our room. One of our absolute faves was the Ghostbusters theme, the flipside having the music-no lyrics. :lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl2: You think there will still be scotch in that bottle 11 months from now?? :rotfl2::lmao::lmao:

So you're gonna be that kid who pulls the gum out in front of the whole class then keeps it to himself??? :confused3

Sharing is caring Aaron. :)

Taken out of context, this statement could get a lot of us into a lot of trouble...

I read it out of context and was thinking...what the Beverly did I miss while I was out for lunch. :lmao:

that's nice! :rolleyes1:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

You guys are sick!

Actually, I can't believe I missed that... :rotfl: Good stuff! :lmao:

Sure! (Somebody's got to finish that leftover Glenmorangie)

Actually, I'm actually quite partial to Glenmorangie....

Heck, I'll drink any scotch that's free!

where's the tag fairy ...that's good material!

I know there are not that many NYers on the DIS Dads' Board, how have the rest of the country been reacting to this Jeremy Lin with the Knicks?

I am not a huge pro basketball fan, but I've been getting caught up in it as well. I know people who have not watched a game in 10 years are, all of a sudden, going nuts over this kid. It has become appointment television here in NY. All over the City, it is all anyone is talking about. He and the Knicks basically shoved the Giants off the back pages and talk shows by the Wednesday after the Super Bowl.

I've had Francessa on every day listening to the craziness. I'm not a huge NBA fan but LIN makes it exciting. He better play some D and stop turning over the ball as frequent.

You can really appreciate what's going on here in the CIty listening to Francesa. I've never seen anything like it here in NY.

They are now broadcasting his games in China even though he is from Palo Alto, CA. Someone asked him if they could ask him a question in Chinese and he replied only if he could answer it in English. The pride and appreciation from the Chinese community across NY and the world is awesome.

People have been comparing it to Tebow, but Tebow was a super star in college and a household name for years. This guy has literally come out of nowhere to take the City by storm. When they won the lottery to draft Patrick Ewing, there was a huge buzz because Ewing was already a star. This is beyond even that.

People at my office were leaving yesterday (who never watch basketball) so they could get home by 7:00pm to watch the Knicks play the Raptors. Not exactly the NBA Finals.

He has to play better defense and the big test will be when Carmelo ANthony comes back and how they play together.

I've been following this sort of peripherally - I'm a big college basketball fan, so that sucks up most of my sports attention right now, but this is a great story. Have you read the zagsblog.com piece about how Trent Johnson blew the recruitment of Lin at Stanford? It's a good piece. Johnson comes off looking like kind of a jerk - http://www.zagsblog.com/2012/02/10/coach-says-jeremy-lin-was-misled-by-stanford-coach/
