Well my Dad got his surgery time for tomorrow.

So I get to be up at 4:15a tomorrow morning to be on the road by 5a to be at the Hospital by 6:30a for his procedure at 7:30a.

Kind of funny how now that the Super Bowl is over, the local news doesn't make everything out to be all roses anymore. Instead of hearing about how wonderful and perfect everything is, we're seeing stories about the SWAT team at work and stories about a police cruiser getting damaged by the crowd at the LMFAO concert Friday night. Kind of odd how they managed to keep that under wraps all weekend.

Nice. Before our second daughter was born, our first daughter was genuinely worried about how we would handle the Daddy Daughter dance if it was another girl. Hasn't been an issue yet. DD2 will start coming with us next year.

Well, mine weren't worried, but I had been to them in the past as singles only. Actually, I think having them both together worked better. It was difficult dancing with both at times, but then, one would go bounce away with a friend, then the other would go bounce away as the other would return. So, it worked out well.

It was weird though. When I arrived, more than half of the dads were sitting on the bleachers. I got to sit down about 5 minutes the whole 2 hours we were there. I'm not the best dancer, but was the only dad who pulled off the moonwalk.

We were informed that dads will be allowed to attend the AHG Camporee this year. Are you going with your daughter?

I have receipts for all my deductions and don't try to claim the cat as a 3rd child. My risk bar is always in the low range. But, I always was afraid if you get audited - then what? I think I've bought it some years and some years not, which probably doesn't do much good.

In the very small chance that you ever did get audited, the auditor would just work with you to make sure that what you claimed/reported was correct. If there were any errors they'd rectify and charge you/reimburse you the difference (highly doubtful they'd audit you for a reimbursement though! ). As long as there is no intentional fraud, you really don't have anything to worry about. Government auditors aren't all that bad, I've worked with a few and they all hate that reputation.

Can't tell you whether or not the peace of mind is worth it in individual cases, but I would never get it.

dont forget the penalities and intrest. oh, and they will find it 6 years from now and at there low intrest rates, i guess your payments wont be to bad.
i have never ran into it but i could give you a few of my clients phone numbers who have. just because you didnt mean to rip them off just keeps you out of jail. you still owe them the amount, intrest and pens.
