Hey guys. We can't thank everyone enough for the prayers. The CT scan came back negative. No sign of strokes, tumors or bleeding. We still need to schedule the stress test with the cardiologist. Having said that, DW is really, really tired today. She stills has some numbness in her jaw and some pressure in her upper chest.

I appreciate the continued prayers. It is comforting to both of us to know that I have you guys to lean on :thumbsup2

Glad that you got good news. Hope she continues to improve.

Barry are you kidding me!!!:scared1: Just read the Gatorland TR!:scared1: Your kids look like dinner.:scared1: I can't wait to convince margie to do it. She is gonna kill me.

Did you use TurboTax? I think they make it pretty easy, and in most cases negate the need for an accountant.

Full disclosure, I'm a CPA, so my opinion might be a little biased... ;)

I used to use Turbo tax till a couple of years ago when they messed with their software and I couldn't get them to load. Now I use Tax act. Same type of thing. I haven't had any problems with them and for me to do both fed and state this year cost 13.95. Got my state refund in a week and fed came the following week.

Rocky Mountain oysters are bull balls.

Lamb fries are sheep balls.

I have not tried either.
Suuuuuuuuure you haven't. popcorn::

I would post more often, but half the time I can't get the page to load! Whats the deal?

The other half, I just can't keep up!
I hope you didn't watch the Uconn game last night. That was the worst display of basketball I've even seen.

Home from the daddy/daughter dance. This was the first time I tried with both at the same time. We ate at home as they voted to skip the spaghetti supper offered. I bought them a couple books from book fair, took some pictures at the saddle and hay photo area, and it was a live cake auction. I let my dds bid on some cakes to a certain point, then had to wrestle the number slip out of their hand as they had no limit. They had a "live DJ" who did a great job of reading out UK basketball scores. I thought of Tim when he played Cotton Eye Joe, Cuban Shuffle, and of course, the chicken dance.
Those dances are given at father daughter dances. ::yes::

Weddings on the other hand. :sad2:

Awww… go on ahead and post away.
We can’t keep up either and most of the time no one’s actually reading anyway

Wrong shoe size but…

Paris to Normandy.

It’s got nothing to do with Disney. The unrest in the area would be the driving factor at this time. With the ruling Junta is starting to crack down more on the dissidents and arresting activist left and right, it’s just not a fate I particularly want to be testing at this moment. Where things more stable in Egypt right now, I’d reverse that answer.

That is definitely in the back of my mind, and why I haven't jumped at this one. Always been on the list, but yeah, it's not quite as "peaceful" there as it was a few years ago.

It's close, but I'd take Paris to Normandy. In addition to Rob's reasoning about the instability in Egypt, the ability to add a few days at DLP is intriguing. But more-so than that would be the history around Normandy. Yes, Egypt has history to - probably a wee bit more of it - but the recent history around Normandy is much more tangible to us. It is intertwined with (use your best Tom Brokaw voice here) The Greatest Generation.

Especially so, after having just very recently stood on the USS Arizona there in Pearl Harbor. I have a great uncle who fought in the Pacific theatre - wasn't in Hawaii, but was on Guam & Midway. I've wanted to go to France since I was in high school. And seeing Normandy is a dream of mine - I have a great uncle who was in the brigade who stormed the beaches there. And of course - a trek over to DLP wouldn't hurt either.

I'm still not sure which I'll choose - but the points are valid and well taken. Unfortunately there's a third choice as well, but it doesn't have quite the same impact on me that these two would - at least not in the same way. There's a St Petersburg one as well, and seeing the palace of Catherine the Great, and the Czars. I really want to go to Russia, but mentally I've already edged it out by the other two.

I'd love to the China one on the Yangtzee, with a trek to Beijing and the Great Wall - but even with the steep discounts for TA's, that one is not within the right $ range right now. Perhaps in 2013.

And then of course there's the trek to Antarctica that I would love to be a part of. It looks amazing.

Oh the decisions...

Facing them was easy. Turning around was the hard part. ;)

Braver than me. Facing them, ok - I could do that. Not so sure about the turning around at all.

What a fun idea.

Disney is allowed to enforce a policy they used not to enforce? Will my FP from 2 years ago still be allowed?

Now, I purchased my refillable mug back in 2000 on my honeymoon and no where on it says that my refills were limited to that year. Besides, I'm still thirsty. I just paid $20 million to get to Disney this vacation and I'm not paying 1 penny more for a coke.

Really. How dare there be people in line for TSM. It's not that popular of a ride. We drove 10,000,000 miles to WDW only to stand in line to wait in line for 7 hours. Not fair. I want my whole trip refunded, including gas money and new shoes for standing 7 hours.

Hey, I'm on vacation. And, while I can go swim in my pool, how dare you say that I can't get on my swimsuit, and my whole family get on there's, pack up all our inflatables, cooler of food and drink, and then get on a bus to ride to a TP for 30 minutes, get on another bus to ride to a resort for 30 minutes, and swim in the pool. By the way, the water in this resort's swimming pool has magical healing powers. Of course I should be allowed to pool hop.

My children are in public school and this is a free country. You are not allowed to take your children out of public school in a free country that my tax dollars pay for. I haven't worked in a decade, (cousin Eddie - holding out for management position), but the tax money I would have paid prohibits you from taking your children out of school early.

What? I make ADR(s) at 6 months out for every character breakfast at WDW for my family of 4. We aren't sure where we want to eat and need to wait 1 day before we make that decision. It's not like other people want to make ADRs, the parks have to be empty when I'm there.

Don't get me started on illegal immigration. They should never be allowed in the parks. And, how do that many people all find matching t-shirts at the Wal-mart? They should be banned. I paid more for my tickets than they did.

And, since I'm on a roll .... You can't post this here. It can only go on the DISdad rant thread. You are violating Dis, Federal, State, International and Brian's Universe law. No FPs for you on the next trip.

Wow, that was fun.

Very nice! :thumbsup2

Wow, that was fun.

The folks that post things like this seriously, as opposed to the funny parody above, only serve to prove my thesis that the ground state of humanity is ignorance, arrogance, intolerance and violent self interest. Only the realization of some far distant ancestors that a group will survive more readily than an individual did we attain some form of societal advancement. Unfortunately, all too often we are confronted with throw backs. It's so frustratingly annoying. Its a good thing that the explosives and automatic weapons at work are kept under lock and key. And I don't have the keys.

So tired right now...fortunately, only ten more minutes and I can go home. Only two more days till the weekend!

Morning guys :surfweb:

Here I am eating my breakfast when I read this on the boards :scared1:

Rocky Mountain oysters are bull balls.

Lamb fries are sheep balls.

I have not tried either.

not so hungry right now. Way to go nemesis :thumbsup2, not a thumb :rotfl2:

morning guys! Things are ok here in beautiful downtown Manassas. Pulled a 14 hour shift yesterday, not sure when I get to drive home today, but I have to pay the bills. :surfweb:

Not that I am trying to figure you out... like women, I accept it, deal with it, smile about it, and end up paying for it eventually.

Oh, and Good Morning Mom's. :rotfl2:

Good Morning Men!

Christopher, really no contest, Paris to Normandy River Cruise! Take the wife, leave the kids at home. It is the City Of Lights.

Do I need to post pictures?

And good morning to you Pot! My name is kettle… glad to meet you.
:lmao:

My wife is so thoughtful:confused3

I got a cold, was actually in bed by 8:30 last night

so she tells me to take it easy today, so I only have to do the laundry, go to Target, drive to the movies to get tickets for Star Wars for Fri, go to costco, make a Dr appt., and make a few stops in-between:eek:

The only rest I know I'm going to have today is between 10-11 when Let's Make A Deal comes on, I'm waiting one of these days Wayne Brady is going to bust out and start singing Tiki Room:laughing:

You be careful not to overexert yourself while you out there taking it easy.

Of course one of the alternatives to running those errands would be to spend the day at work.

Thanks everyone for the Plaza reviews. Still not sure if we'll go or not - DW seems to be on the fence, muttering something about a $15 cheeseburger. :confused3

Lucky you. I was home with a sick DS on Friday. I had a whole bunch of projects around the house that I wanted to get done, but every one of them required a trip to the hardware store (I wanted to paint the hallway, for example, but was out of paint rollers). DW texts me and tell me to just take it easy and rest for the day. :confused3 I've been working on remodeling the house since September in preparation for the new baby. I don't think I remember how to rest anymore.
