Weather for upcoming trip. Not bad at all.

Weather Ownage!

Nope, not bad at all...gonna' be nice. Good for the fishing too;)

I thought having a conversation with myself would be more theraputic than this.:rotfl:

Speaking from experience...not so much:lmao::lmao:

Sorry haven't been getting much sleep.

Wonder why that is?:confused3:rotfl2:

Thanks, Brian!

It wasn't swollen & kind of an all over tenderness, rather than a specific point. Plus the painwas really minor (but persistent) & the mechanism of injury was very minor as well. (which is I guess why she got the splint not the cast!) Neither DW or I can believe she broke it!

Horseplay on couch eh? I had 20 bucks on a Pinewood Derby victory dance:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Been there done that...:rolleyes1

Mornin' Guys....

So we're having a bunch of people over later for the Superbowl. What does that mean???

It's house cleaning time!

I swear - it's a good thing we have parties so this house gets clean!

Just finished my second toilet! :cool1:

I think it's Beer thirty!

Oh...and for those of you wondering...the DW has not heard anything from the lady with the car damage. Maybe she realized that she was in the wrong and needs to pay for it?! More than likely she's just a procrastinator and will call us when we least expect it!

Have a great day guys...Sun is shining here (a real rarity for February in Ohio) and it's going all the way up to 37! Woot! Woot!

:thumbsup2

I never understood why we clean for the people who see our house 10 times a year but don't clean the house for the people who live there 365 days a year.

We went to the newer Logan's steakhouse close by with our free certificates. Our meal was excellent, so it looks like the problems were worked out. Texas Roadhouse is still better.

Rainy day as well.

Off to church in a few so I thought I would see if things were moving quicker. Rainy day over here as well. The ways things are looking budget wise I thought this by Longfellow was an appropriate reminder

"The Rainy Day"

The day is cold, and dark, and dreary;
It rains, and the wind is never weary;
The vine still clings to the moldering wall,
But at every gust the dead leaves fall,
And the day is dark and dreary.

My life is cold, and dark, and dreary;
It rains, and the wind is never weary;
My thoughts still cling to the moldering Past,
But the hopes of youth fall thick in the blast
And the days are dark and dreary.

Be still, sad heart! and cease repining;
Behind the clouds is the sun still shining;
Thy fate is the common fate of all,
Into each life some rain must fall,
Some days must be dark and dreary.

Which would you ride - if you could only choose one?

Space Mountain or Splash Mountain?

I would say Splash Mountain at WDW - Space Mountain at DL (I way prefer DL's Space to the MK's - much smoother + there's music!)

Splash Mountain - So much fun riding the storyline.

Where would you eat?

Cosmic Ray's or Pecos Bill's?

I would choose Pecos Bill's.

Cosmic Ray's - Where else can you be serenaded by a piano playing alien?

Where would you rather sleep?

Port Orleans Riverside - or - POP Century?

I'd say Port Orleans.

Only place on property that I've stayed was the Disney Villas, but if i were to pick one of these two, it would be Port Orleans. (Although I would really like to stay at Wilderness Lodge or Poly one day)

Where would you go if you could only go to one of them?

Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios?

I think I'd go to the MK.

Magic Kingdom.

Which would you rather enjoy - again, if you could only do one?

A round of mini-golf at Fantasia Gardens, or a lift up in the Characters in Flight balloon?

I'd take the Balloon.

Mini-golf at Fantasia Gardens. Wonderfully themed.

Which would you rather enjoy?

Expedition Everest or Kali River Rapids

I'd take Everest.

Everest, hands down. There's just not that much to Kali other than one steep drop. :confused3

50's Prime Time Cafe or Sci-Fi Dine in Theatre?

This is hard, I love them both, but I'd probably go with 50s Prime Time.

50s Prime Time. - I like seeing DW get fussed at for not eating her vegetables. :lmao:

Who do you like more?

Minnie Mouse or Daisy Duck?

I'm partial to Minnie, myself.

Minnie - Daisy is too high maintenance.

Which is your preferred option?

Extra Magic Hours Morning or Extra Magic Hours Evening?

I'll take Morning, myself.

Love the mornings.

The monorail or the ferry to the MK?

I like them both. Most often when I've been faced with that choice I would say ferry.

Monorail to, Ferry from.

Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach?

Typhoon Lagoon for me when solo - Blizzard Beach when with the family.

Typhoon Lagoon - WATER COASTER!!

Haunted Mansion or Pirates of the Caribbean?

Haunted Mansion - definitely.

Haunted Mansion

That was fun! :yay:

Morning, Guys! Can't possibly catch up, but cute picture, Christian! Nice use of the rent is too high guy, Paul!

Busy few days, here. On Thursday, my 91 year old grandmother went into hospice. She should have done this literally 2 years ago (when they started doing things "to her" rather than "for her"), but I'm at least glad she's focusing on comfort care now. So I spend the morning with her on Friday

On Saturday, we had our pinewood derby. Those scout leaders here know what a logistic challenge that is to organize plus the stress of your own kids. Only 3 crying tiger scouts this year, so not too bad. I talked to all of them (which no one did when my kids were in the same situation) & showed them my sons horrible first car (which made them feel better)

Molly and Dan both got second in their respective divisions (Webelos 2 & Ultimate). Plus Dan did EVERYTHING for his car, so I was very proud. And Molly and I learned some electrical engineering building a fan jet for the back of her car. Very cool!

But on Friday night, Molly was fooling around and feel off the couch hitting her wrist. She was still complaining of pain (although really not too bad) on Saturday, so after the pinewood I took her to the ER & yep, it was broken. Fortunately, they're doing removable splints for this minor distal forearm fractures, and hoping for no cast!

Glad things are more comfortable for your grandmother, congrats Molly and Dan, and speedy recovery to Molly as well.

Chris, so sorry to hear about the bad stuff. Saw some of it on FB. Glad that you had a good time with your Pinewood Derby. I do (& don't) miss those days. They were enjoyable at the time, but am happy with the stuff going on in Scouts currently.

Praying for your grandmother and the family. These times can be very difficult.

Glad to see you here though.
