Did you ever have one of those nights when even though you almost bit your tongue off it was a good night? Spent over an hour looking for my daughter's girl scout cookie order form that SWMBO swore she didn't have. Found it stuck in the back of her nightstand where it got caught. Decided since the BP and adrenaline were up I might as well come in to the office and get some work done. Time to make a cookie spreadsheet!

Ended up not going to MIL's for the holidays. Apparently, it's quite cold there and, thus, there is no running water. With a small home, full of up to 10-15 people, DW decided against going (plus the 8-hour round trip, which is almost like a once a year vacation distance here in Korea...and lack of fundage).

Since she started her job, she's only used her car (an Audi A4, not sure of the year) maybe once every two weeks or so. She works only about two blocks away, and I take the bus everyday. So now, we're (or rather, she's) thinking about selling it. We have only come up with to reasons to keep the car: grocery shopping, and visiting her mom's. The grocery shopping isn't that big of an issue. As for visiting her mom, we could always take a bus (we just can't come back with as much homemade kimchi.... ).

Anyways, yesterday, we wanted to drive to Busan (to get some use out of the car). We left Pohang in the wrong direction, and instead went to Daegu (another large city in Korea, only about an hour away, as opposed to two hours to Busan). Did some clothing shopping, including getting some clothes for me for running.

Today, I went for a run, and DW is currently at a nearby sauna. She'll be home in about 45 minutes. Then, we're going to see Journey 2: the Mysterious Island in 3D (DW LOVES 3D movies, but hates the smell of popcorn, it makes her sick...so we don't get to the movies too often). I just saw that it's not released yet in America. I feel special. I'll let you guys know how it is.

Don't know if you heard the news but a plane from Brazil to Miami hit really bad turbulence and a number of people were hurt including much of the flight crew. One passenger reported that a flight attendant flew up and hit the ceiling and the cart she was pushing landed on her when she fell back to the floor.

After it happened, they still had a couple of hours flying time before they landed in Miami. Many taken to the hospital but nothing life threatening. Talk about an E-ticket ride.

My worst experience on a flight was from NOLA to Miami. On takeoff, I felt the plane wasn't gaining enough speed and all of a sudden the pilot reverses the engines full blast and hits the brakes hard. The woman next to me grabbed my leg like a vise and started screaming. The pilot came on and said. "This little ole light came on when we were going down the runway so we had to stop our departure. We're going to head back to the gate and let the mechanics look at that little ole light."

girl scout cookie time!!!! i think i paid for the local girl scouts bus just on peanut butter paties alone!!! tammy and i both buy from work and i find myself going to walmart this time of year. theres always a girl scout out front of the place where i can score fix for lunch. i make my deal through the car window!!!
