Morning guys.

I was "wild and crazy" last night and a) turned OFF the computer - wow (for me that is a wow), and then b) at about 11:10 went upstairs to get my DW13 out of bed and bring him back downstairs to start a movie, but not just any movie - a 3+ hour movie! He's been begging me for the past couple of months to re-watch "Fellowship of the Ring" with him (he's a HUGE LOTR fan), and I haven't watched any of the films in a couple of years. Sure a scene here or there when he watches, but never just sit down and watch from beginning to end. He had asked earlier in the evening but I put him off yet again as I was hoping to go to our Men's Bi ble Study at churhc this morning, but got a message around 10ish that it was cancelled due to the coming weather (snowed through the night, at least here in my area of Central Indy it did). Anyway - I thought for a while, knowing I'm going to be gone for nearly 2 weeks - and decided it was the "good dad" thing to do. He was flabbergasted and thrilled. By the time we started (after making the popcorn, getting blankets to add to the cozy factor... we didn't start it til almost 11:30. Since I didn't need to be up for a 7am study, what did it matter if I stayed up til 2:30ish? DW watched with us. She's still asleep, but I have a meeting to go to at noon, so I had to get up. But it was great to give my son that "your special" feeling once again.

Cool Dad and Son time... ;)

Morning Guys. We have some snow here in Detroit. Fluffy now but it is supposed to warm up. My dd 3.5 is obsessed with having a snowball fight after all the Christmas cartoons. She has obviously never been nailed in the head by an ice ball or slush ball!

When we got snow a couple of days ago, DD went out to play in it. She begged me to come out too - so after a few minutes I did. Guess what she was waiting to do when I arrived outdoors? Yep - pelt me with snowballs. Her giggles were so wonderful to listen to, I didn't mind that a one good size one hit my neck, and went down my back inside my collar! Cold, but felt very warm inside.

Nice list - nemesis comes through... maybe the tides are changing...Naw, still a nemesis.

Touringplan's - do you need a subscription to view crowd calendars? I would think so - much like their website.

::yes:: Subscription needed

Undercover tourist has one though that will still give you wait times...I believe it's free as well.

The other one we use (my wife and I) is OurGroceries. It allows us to keep our grocery list in sync and at any given time always know what is needed. So we both have the app and can update our list as we need things.

Kinda nice.

Happy to report that I have survived after a night with five teenage girls in the house. DD14 had two friends over and DD 16 had one as well. Add in a 5 yo DD and wife (not putting that number out here), and that's a lot of estrogen. princess:

Looks like a wet day here and for many others in the club with rain on the east coast, snow for our northern members, Duck replacing a faucet, and a fishing Fed. Wish I was fishin' too. :thumbsup2

Have a great day and keep yer powder dry!

I can usually get a day and a half or sometimes two days with light usage out of mine.

One of the keys to long battery life is to make sure you minimize the use of location services by the apps you have installed. GPS kills the battery quickly.

My favorite apps:

Live365 - streams DISRadio
WDW Lines - Touringplans.com app
Pandora
Flipboard
EPSN ScoreCenter
TV Guide
Photobucket
Flashlight
Waze - Free Navigation App
The Weather Channel
Crackle - free movie streaming (older ones, but still free)

All of the above apps are FREE (atleast in the US - don't know what that conversion to Canadian Dollars would be ) :rotfl2:

I can't get more than a day. :confused3

Also, not a heavy user.

That is awesome! :thumbsup2 I can't wait to do stuff like that...

:thumbsup2 NICE!

Game time with DD5. She and DW are playing Toy Story Mania on the Wii. DD16 is waiting her turn to play the new game that DD14 got for her B'day... Epic Mickey! :cool2:

When I get home from my meetings (these are Scouting related - not business related - and they're gonna last most of the afternoon) - I get to come home and help DD build a snowman! The snow is great packing snow!

If the snow is good, build an igloo. And take pictures!

Wow, snow jealousy. All we got was some freezing rain last night. No snow just about a 1/4" layer of ice on everything. Haven't had a need to go anywhere today so just staying at home for the time being. A couple of cars have gone by, but moving slow. I'd much rather have snow anytime.

I am glad my daughter can't throw a snowball very well yet!

We just had a great time in the snow with DD. The snow was a little fluffy so not good for snowballs or snowmen but she helped  me shovel. I burried her in the snow which she pretended was a race car. She did not want to come in but I got her up early ever day this week and I new she needed to take a long nap. She fell asleep in less than 3 minutes.

That is a tough spot for any dad glad you are still with us!:thumbsup2

Great picture Christian, she has gotten so big and cute! Cute she gets from her Mom, I'm guessing. :rotfl:

"A funny thing to do is, if you're out hiking and your friend gets bitten by a poisonous snake, tell him you're going to go for help, then go about ten feet and pretend that *you* got bit by a snake. Then start an argument with him about who's going to go get help. A lot of guys will start crying. That's why it makes you feel good when you tell them it was just a joke."

"After I die, wherever my spirit goes, I'm going to try to get back and visit my skeleton at least once a year, because, "Hey, old buddy, how's it going?"
