I stopped in American Jewlry and Loan, from Tru-tv's hardcore pawn. It was Tuesday afternoon and the place was packed. There was almost as many people in there as in the local Target. The people on the show were just standing around taking pictures with people and selling autographed t-shirts. I don't think they do much work there anymore. I was amazed watching the people line up to get there picture taken with pawn brokers. Disney characters I understand, but pawn brokers?:confused3:rotfl:

I hadn't thought about that. With celebrity chefs that are on tv pretty much anyone can get in and buy something to eat. Their fame can pretty easily be turned for financial gain. I think the family on "little people big world" has done that too with their pumpkin farm. It seeme like it'd be more difficult for the pawn stars to use their new fame for financial gain beyond selling t-shirts.

What is going on with the rest of the DisDads?

Ownage somehow.

In the office trying to keep from getting further behind. When the Dean of the College sends around an email and says we are facing our toughest year ever it is grind, grind, grind at that grindstone.

The board was really moving fast when no one was on. Maybe that is the secret, nobody log on or post and this baby will fly.:rotfl:

Much quicker tonight

Evening all. Looks like its about 4 pm HI time. Hope you have a good diner Stopher. Lots of us want to see pics of the Dole corn/pineapple plantation.

If they really did switch to corn I wonder if dole whips will be made with cream corn?

Halo-Halo, the Filipino version of shaved ice has corn in it. They also like sweet corn flavored ice cream.

My spanish rice and pork chops were very good, though DW & DD17 said they were a bit spicy. I was drinking a glass of Bandit Sangria. For boxed wine they are pretty good. I really enjoy the Sangria and the white I have is pretty good too.

Just sitting here watching a NCIS marathon. Dinner tonight was take out Chinese. Beef and Broccoli and fried rive with shrimp. Good and plenty of leftovers. DD had vegetable stuff. Desert will be birthday ice cream cake.
Beef = good
Ice cream cake = really good
Tv = good

Sound like a nice evening.

Seems to be faster for me too.

Given our cultures desire to put corn syrup in everything, it's not surprising other cultures would use corn as a dessert flavor. Our mall has a cart selling little tubs of buttered corn.

Andy said corn so I used our bathroom code #2. Corn = poop. Where is Barry, he can explain what I was trying to do with this joke. :rotfl2:

I have no idea what you're .....hey, when did I eat corn?

I like the math practice angle. Given the legends regarding your minivan, that means she's dealing with a lot of subtracting two-digit numbers from three-digit numbers.
Nah, I go easy on her and let her do single digits. Mach 3 - Mach 1. That type of stuff.

So I walk into Costco tonight for some milk and chicken and come out with the mentioned and a leather recliner :rotfl2:

Don't you love how that works? I saw the chair last year and liked it alot, and as it would go it was gone. I ran in tonight and almost waited to come back for one until I found out it was their last one :scared1:

That's a bit of a stretch. But you gotta sit somewhere to eat that milk and Chicken.

Currently we have an oversized microfiber chair that I despise.

Now i'll just have to remember to turn every 2 hours so I don't get a bed sore j/k

They have a nice gel seat cushion to help prevent those. Not quite sure how an air mattress will fit, but may be worth a consult.

Blasphemy.

And, because it's a difficult year, one athletic team coach will not take a full $2 million salary for the one year. Oh, that's not a real option. Let's fire 10 janitors as their families can do without the income.

We are all ears...

:confused3

We were originally supposed to record it last Thursday. First, I was running late because kid activities ran late. I got online, we tried to find a third panelist who could help us out with Wilderness Lodge and struck out. We finally started recording about a 1/2 hour late . . . or so I thought. As I was congratulating David and Eric for doing such a great job, I go to upload the file for editing, and discover that I had missed when I went to click the "record" button on the recording software. So we'd chatted for an hour about Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge, but had nothing recorded.

So we rescheduled for tonight. But David was having difficulty maintaining his Skype connection, and with only three people on the call, it was difficult to work through. With a larger panel, we've been able to cover such situations in the past pretty seamlessly. But we couldn't cover it with just two people, so we gave up. We're going to try again next week - hopefully with at least one more panel member with experience at Wilderness Lodge.

Been a long day. Not sure the new boss is going to work out, he is very much a micro-manager and I'm used to being left alone to do my thing :headache: Oh well.....

woke up this morning feeling sick. I think I have the flu. I was praying to the porcelain goddess, and I've been achy and feverish all day. Can't really call in sick the second day of work, so i'm popping pain killers, hydrating myself, and hoping to tough it out.

DS is down for a nap, so a quick shower and a nap might help.

Hopefully you'll feel better soon. It feels like everyone here is on the verge of comming down with somethingm but nothing yet. Rest isthe best thing for you though.

You may proceed, but slowly and no furtive movements.:rotfl:

I can assure you I've never been described a quick :lmao:

:lmao: We still have the Christmas tree up:rotfl2:

Mine just came down Monday :lmao:

Thanks, I will take all the help I can get. Thanks to everyone else too. I am sure I will get something, sometime. Even if it is just part-time driving the shuttle vans at Seatac Airport.

Good luck! Hopefully something will pop up soon!

Not that an excuse to drink isever needed, but I forgot to remind one and all that today was Robbie Burns Day, hoist up a wee dram of scotch laddies! (tonight I have Glenmorangie Nector D'or)
