I took 3 years of French in high school and I have no idea what the Beverly you guys were saying back there. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Guess that goes to show that if you don't use something you learn, you definitely don't retain it.

Took 4 years of french, and it hasn't done me any good. I can't hold a conversation at all. I do better when reading it.

Greetings gents - so it's time for my every-so-often pop-in visit - and I am just bursting today!! :cool1: :yay:

My son, the sophomore soon to be junior - pulled straight A's this year, one of which was an AP honors course, so the weighted average is higher then. Last year it was nearly straight A's, with just 1 B.

Next year's load will be even tougher, but he is setting himself up well. Next year has 3 AP courses, and 1 early-admission college course.

Needless to say - we're giddy around here today.

That's all. Just a proud dad moment here.

Hope you're all doing well.

If you saw the FB post that I put out there today, and are at ALL interested - please be sure to respond to it before noon tomorrow. I have to close out the list and get it ordered tomorrow afternoon. If you don't have a clue what I'm referring to... head on over to the FB page and see.

TTFN.

Congrats!!

It was all in French, so I figured somebody surrendered.:duck:

Congrats! It is an amazing feeling to see your kids succeed. My oldest DD is in similar shoes as your son. Is he going to be a Senior? At our HS they honor the Top 20 grads in a special way, and right now my DD is #20 in her class. We'll see how Senior year goes. Hope your son tears it up down the stretch :thumbsup2

Go ahead and bust your buttons with pride :goodvibes

Just say no, no, no, no. Go for a crew cab full size truck if you need the room and hp. If not, I would go with a crossover. DW insisted on a minivan and she has hated it ever since. She made me drive it for awhile. We later bought a Pontic Aztek, a big crossover, but has the hp and the space we need. Just say no.

Thanks guys. It was a feat, to be sure. We were thinking for a while there that it wasn't going to happen, but he pulled it out in the end. Now if only he can keep it up for the next two years.

He's finally putting the finishing touches on his fundraising letter for his Eagle Project too, with the expectation that he'll be able to actually schedule work days in June and July. That will be nice to have off of his to do list as well.

How about a hint? Believe it or not, there are some of us that still don't use FB.:scared1: Tried it. Didn't like it.

Oh I do believe it. If I didn't need to use it, I would drop it. But I need it for my business, and for Scouts. I don't use it a whole lot personally anymore, only occasionally.

It has to do with my business and a certain publication that goes out in July. I would tell you about it, but don't want to run afoul of the powers that be, as I got into trouble for that a while back. No points, but a warning. So I am not talking shop on here any more.

Can't give you a answer, but I agree with Dave, I only buy USA based company cars:confused3

I don't think you heard me....

I said MORNING EVERYONE!!!!!

I heard you from the Lakeshore where I was about that time :lmao:

What is lcbo? I'm not cool and don't know these things.

LCBO - Liquor Control Board of Ontario

It's the Ontario Liquor Store, the only retailer in Ontario allowed to sell liquor.
Which controls quite a monopoly, and in turn makes Ontario one of the highest prices for liquor in the world.

Yeah yeah, and if you think for a minute if it goes private that the prices will drop, then you'll want some of that Iowa beachfront properties I think I read about earlier (possibly anyways, you were alll speaking in tounges earlier...might have been french, but I refuse to acknowledge french :rotfl2: ) Too many people will want their share of the $$.
