C'est une question piège mon ami.

Oui, oui. As a former Albertan, I can harbor a guess at my question...

Almost as good as the price setting on gasoline.

Socialists in Ontario.. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

No socialists? :lmao: As for the gasoline pricing, I think there is a strong correlation between these 2 topics... raw materials do not dictate these prices, but the "overhead" demanded by the Fiscal Policy Gurus are the ones to blame.

its ardhay to ypetay in igpay atinlay!

What, they don't have a Google Translate tool for that too?

?

There is no free market system in place. Gas would be far cheaper near refineries because there is less post production transportation costs. Prices are set by the few in control. I read an article that suggested the inflated prices were for banks to invest their money there to make up for losses from foreclosure mess.

No, I Duck!! :lmao:

You are the man, er umm,the duck.

Oh, sure, blame us bankers again. :lmao:

No, I Duck!! :lmao:

Funny. Norm may be the man but you are THE DUCK.

Nasty weather down here. Flood watch still in affect. Wind gust up to 50 MPH. Tropical system wannabe brewing just off our coast. Telling people on the beaches to seek shelter. Hope this is not an omen for the hurricane season.

The rest of the state is mostly clear so if you are heading to Orlando, no worries.

Dave and Stopher...or the Mythbusters. :scratchin: :rotfl2::rotfl:

Brian and Barry, (Myths in their own minds) or Mythbusters... I see some conflict here. :rotfl2:

Stay safe CJ and I hope you're right that this isn't what to expect this year for hurricane season.

...I just thought they were smart. I can still read French from my high school classes, because like an idiot, someone said that learning Spanish would be pointless. Know have migrant farmers in KY speak French?

I knew better. :rotfl2:

I can't read much Spanish now even though I used it for my language requirement in grad school.

I actually have one farmer over this way that moved from France. He kind of stands out in a meeting.

I am enjoying this staycation. Finally got them out of bed and went to soccer this morning. Then, I took them for ice cream for breakfast, and then to the splash park. Now, home for some showers, Walker, Texas Ranger, and then off to the dentist with dds.

Oh, sure, blame us bankers again. :lmao:

I don't know what to believe anymore. Our financial system is so intertwined that a mere rumor in Europe now effects stock prices here. There is no free market system anymore.

Way to early for hurricane season, isn't it? Stay dry and safe.

As a former Albertan, you should know it is spelled harbour not harbor. ;) :lmao:

Have you seem a map of Alberta? The closest thing they have to a harbo(u)r is a dock next to a stream. :rotfl2:

You say myth, I say LEGEND!

Well, breezing by those last few pages was quick. If I saw words that I didn't know, I just skipped the post. :rotfl2:

I live in a house that was built in 1930 and is concrete and block. Made it through numerous hurricanes. It ain't going anywhere (knock wood). Sun is out right now while the Keys and the beaches are getting pounded. The dive operation that I dive with didn't go out today. If there is one group that goes out despite the weather, it is them. If they don't go out, no one goes out.

Spent the lousy weather time to update my TR over on the DVC board. Posted this picture. For some reason it made me think of Fed. Maybe an early version of a Norwegian trooper?

I took 3 years of French in high school and I have no idea what the Beverly you guys were saying back there. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Guess that goes to show that if you don't use something you learn, you definitely don't retain it.

Greetings gents - so it's time for my every-so-often pop-in visit - and I am just bursting today!! :cool1: :yay:

My son, the sophomore soon to be junior - pulled straight A's this year, one of which was an AP honors course, so the weighted average is higher then. Last year it was nearly straight A's, with just 1 B.

Next year's load will be even tougher, but he is setting himself up well. Next year has 3 AP courses, and 1 early-admission college course.

Needless to say - we're giddy around here today.

That's all. Just a proud dad moment here.

Hope you're all doing well.

If you saw the FB post that I put out there today, and are at ALL interested - please be sure to respond to it before noon tomorrow. I have to close out the list and get it ordered tomorrow afternoon. If you don't have a clue what I'm referring to... head on over to the FB page and see.

TTFN.

It was all in French, so I figured somebody surrendered.:duck:
