I am home with a sick grl today. Bless her heart she is pitiful. It actually orked out well... I needed a mental health day too! :rotfl2:

Baseball for the next 4 nights...closing on our refinance tomorrow evening... and of course that are the usual two or three birthparties to attend...going to be a busy weekend!!![/I][/B]

Hope your girl feels better, enjoy the mental health day, congrats on the refi, and hope you get through the weekend!

This weekend will be brutal... DW sings in a wedding Saturday, so wedding rehearsal Friday night, then a graduation party after that, wedding Saturday, Mothers Day with my Mom Sunday afternoon and Mothers Day with her Mom Sunday evening. A lot of family time, which is good, but it isn't going to be much fun being on the go all weekend with a 2 week old in tow.

good luck! hope you get to enjoy some of it!

Good Lord...I forgot about Mother's Day!!!:scared1:

:scared1:

Sounds like a great trip. I'll keep that route in mind. I want to go to Jellystone and see Yogi bear.

I hate to break this to you, but you can't go to Jellystone to see Yogi Bear.... Yogi has long since retired and now lives in Beverly Hills.

Well, more news on May vacation. DW reminded me that dds have dance class that week, and you know, you can't miss dance for a vacation. So, it looks like I am home that week with a staycation. We'll go to the zoo, go visit my parents one day, and maybe some other stuff.

those darn dance classes!!! hope you find more fun stuff to do closer to home!

Staycation = more money for DVC or do you have all the points you want now?

Well, I would like enough points to live there all year round. But, realistically, 100 more points would be nice for a 1 BR stay.

Speaking of Mother's Day.....

Do any of you have any "disney-ish" ideas for a Mother's Day present?
.

Whatever is left at the Disney Store. For me, I have to have everything shipped.

Why yes oh great keeper of the DisDad BD Announcements (but you already knew that :rolleyes2)

Mine is always just before or just after Momma’s Day so that weekend is always dominated by time with the in-laws and of course time spent spoiling DW. To add to that, my son’s BD is four days after mine, so it dominates everyone’s attention the rest of the following week and the weekend afterward (as it should). Between those two events, mine has been neigh on to invisible for about two decades now. Next year… my BD falls smack on Mother’s Day, so it will heave absolutely no meaning what so ever :lmao:

That kinda stinks. I have a Sept birthday but only had 1 party growing up. They never made a big deal of it. I throw dds big parties every year.

what about the family truckster? DW doesn't like the windows down in the car either. drives me nuts.
!!

I tell her that since we are married, I don't care what her hair looks like. She growls and gets the frying pan.

I've traditionally always purchased the DW a "bead" or two for her Pandora or Chamilia bracelets...I'm trying to think of something new this year.

this year I'm getting DW a kindle.

It's not invisible to us!!! (unless Randall is on vacation)

The caught-up-in-ator worked, and now I can say "Good Morning!"

DW stayed home this morning to take DD to preschool where they are having a little mommy's day party. Only half day off for DW though, she goes to work for a couple of hours afterwards.

DS and I are listening to 35 years of Sesame Street music. I borrowed the CDs from the library, and of course, I'll be ripping them before I return them. I knew they had DVDs there, but I never noticed the CD collection before. A lot of kids music for putting on while the kids are playing. Got to get away from having the tv on so much!

Just finished book 2 of the Wheel of Time series. It's very good. And there's about 13 books I think, so it should keep me occupied for a while. Maybe even until the next A Song of Ice and Fire book? okay, probably not that long, but it's still good to find another great fantasy series to read.

Well, there's always the Tim method: Drink in the shower.
::yes::

What's that smiley doing, Tim? Mixing up some bathtub gin?
It was actually moonshine. :cool2:

Thanks. All seems to be good for now. She had a little pain today when she came home from school, enough not to go to dance, which is big for her. Some Tylenol fixed it.
Hopefully she is feeling better today. :goodvibes

Do you speak droid? R2 may have just cursed at us all? Or, maybe his royalty from Star Wars is not high enough.
I guess R2 had to sell out.... maybe he has some illegitimate mini droids scooting around. :confused3

I was going to fix the dryer when I got home from work (10min job) after going to the parts store (has to be ordered) it now looks like it will be Sat or Mon before the $19 part will arrive:scared1:, and this is how a 10min job:teacher: turns into a week project:headache::badpc:
That stinks. Newer isn't always better. :headache:

Morning guys!!

Seven years ago today I was blessed to become the father of two beautiful, smart and precious little girls :thumbsup2

I took the day off today to spend with them. Time has gone by so quickly and I realize that my time with them is so valuable to me.

Have a great day guys :thumbsup2
Happy birthday to your princesses!

Baseball for the next 4 nights...closing on our refinance tomorrow evening... and of course that are the usual two or three birthparties to attend...going to be a busy weekend!!!
Hope the princess is feeling better!

We just closed on our refi yesterday. I am so glad that was over. I had to return over 15 emails with Chase and numerous phone calls to get all our information together for the refi. Went from a 30yr @ 5.5% to a 15yr @ 3.25%, raised our payment by $100 a month, but we will end up saving about $138K and be done paying while Juliana is in college and Christopher is about to enter.

‘Morning all…
The sun is shining… it’s going to be a lovely day… But I still have to work so I won’t know anything about it.

Ehhhh… can’t win ‘em all.
At least it is shining... it's been crummy here since Monday.

Good Lord...I forgot about Mother's Day!!!:scared1:
:scared1: :scared1:

There tends to be significant cultivation of cannabis in eastern KY. I won't even make farm visits without the county agent unless I talk with the agent first. Having a state truck driving through the deep hollers is a good way to raise suspicion.
Stay safe out there! I wonder if you could recruit FED to take a drive with you? :rolleyes1

David I hope you get to enjoy your day with the girls to the fulest today!!!

Good Morning to the rest of you guys!!!

I am home with a sick grl today. Bless her heart she is pitiful. It actually orked out well... I needed a mental health day too! :rotfl2:

Poor Lauren. Hope she feels better, and enjoy the day off!

Having watched Justified, I believe it!

Oh well. Having the time off from work is still a good thing.

That's what she wants you to think.:rolleyes1

I better go back and camoflauge that post in Bacon!!

Have you calculated the number of points you would need for the year round stay?

I tell her that since we are married, I don't care what her hair looks like. She growls and gets the frying pan.

I always get excited when I hear DW get out the frying pan until I realize that she doesn't fry the bacon, I do. Then it hits me... :rotfl:
