I'm looking at dumping Time-Warner cable television and switching to SureWest, because of a combination of rises costs and continual service problems from TWC. As if I needed any further encouragement, logging in to TWC's customer service site to pull information to make sure I'm comparing apples-to-apples as much as possible between TWC and SureWest is taking FOREVER, because TWC's site so abyssmally slow.

That post contained the most substance of any over the last 50 or so pages. Great job Aaron!

I dropped TWC a few years ago for DirecTV. My satellite signal drops a few times a year in really bad weather, but not too bad. TWC's pricing was going crazy, and I was able to lock in a low 2 year rate with DirecTV. Even when that rate expired and it climbed back to their normal pricing, I'm saving money over TWC.

By the way,if anyone is looking at switching to DirecTV, message me. I'll send you my account number and you can sign up under their "refer a friend." We both save $100.

So, I found out from DW tonight that her oldest sister and family may or may not be coming to visit tomorrow night. Since DW works tomorrow from 12-10, that means I have to clean the entire apartment better than I have ever cleaned it before (even though, based on prior records of "family visiting" the will not come). I may need some pixie dust tomorrow (doesn't matter how well I clean, DW finds mistakes (as, I'm sure, everyone's DWs do))...
